~In a palace at the far end of Arda~
“So the fool has been killed?” said a voice echoing through the room as the figure it belonged to gazed into a large crystal ball. Another figure sat in the corner straddling a sword between his legs. “Yep, he got himself killed by some half breed and her friends. When I see her I’ll thank her for getting him off our hands. Makes things easier on us.” He said. The figure by the crystal ball turned. “And you talk about your brother that way? Humph. He must have really been a pain.” It said. The figure nodded, “Yea. I forgot you never had the pleasure.” He said. The door banged open as another figure walked in. “What’s up?” they asked in unison. He walked up to the crystal ball and waved his hand over it. In the swirling vortex appeared a white haired girl. “Humph...Blasted Goddess of Life. We aren’t free of the court jester yet. Lothlomendil apparently has a sense of humor or likes to get on our nerves.” He said. The figure with the sword looked in the crystal ball. “Who’s the kid?” she asked. The newcomer looked at the two nearby as they crowded next to him. “Barak...Has been reincarnated. If what I think is true then our problems could still be there. The brat has to die.” He said.
~in Estolad~
The sound of hammer hitting metal was heard even from the kitchen. A small white-haired girl sat at the table hurriedly ate her lunch before tossing the dishes in the sink and ran out the door. “Tanya! You ready yet!” came the whinny cry of her friend. “I am coming Samantha!” she shouted as the door banged open and shut. She stumbled getting her shoes on as she came out of the house. Samantha grabbed Tanya’s hand and they ran to the “Fae oak” the old oak tree in the middle of the town. “TANYA BE HOME BEFORE DINNER!”her father called as loudly as possible over the hissing of the metal horse shoe in the bucket of water. A group of her friends were waiting for them. “Come on! The Fae’s are really impatient today.” A small boy shouted throwing his arms up and down impatiently. Everyone in the village knew Fae’s did not reside in the tree but they let the children have their fun and imagine. The children began their usual games for the day as the villagers walked through the town doing their daily chores.
walking though the village he looked around all was seemingly peaceful, all the people were going about there Dailey jobs, fetching the water and there jobs he passed a bakery and the smell of freshly made bread wafted out, It was too peaceful for his likening, it would lead you into a false sense of reinsurance then a surprise would happen while you were off guard and you could be dead in seconds.
He was not really sure why he had entered the village, he had left Lómëdor and traveled across the empty Plaines, he had seen the small thatched roofs and just felt like it would be worth a visit, but it was just a peaceful town. The Villagers had already got up and were continuing there daily lives
He wandered on and came to the center of the town, an old oak tree stood in all its majesty, all the village children were playing around it, It must be where the school is he thought, he went and leaned against a wall, it was a beautiful day and he needed to relax a bit
The morning was quite enjoyable. One of the girls put her faerie doll on the tree. "The fairy queen has came to the tree, she has shown her grace upon the greatest oak in all of Estolad!" she said announcing to the other children. The children cheered at the doll and their make believe games. Tanya picked up her staff as the boys got up their wooden swords and toy sheilds. "Okay! Lets get to work!" Tanya said. The boys stood at attention as an adult came. Dressed in the common attire of a member of the Estolad guard he stood in front of the children. "ATTENTION SOLDIERS!" he said, the boys and Tanya stood at attention.
"Alright soldiers, it is our duty as protectors of the faeries to make sure that Estolad stays safe. It is our job to secure all parts of Estolad and take care of the things that the Estolad Guard cannot." he said. The children nodded. "Alright, you know your posts. Dismissed!" he said. The children then smiled and ran off to different areas of the city. Some stayed at the oak while others took care of different things such as take care of the farms and such. The Guard smiled as he walked around town monitoring the children. A man looked at him as he left. "Its good that the children have someone to encourage them to become guard members" the soldier turned and nodded, "Someone has to." he said.
Tanya looked around and saw a man leaning against a wall. "Excuse me sir, Soldier Tanya at your service. Do you need any assistance?" she asked in a tone that said she was both serious and pretending.
Shalura wandered over the large hill that sat nearby the village, and stopped to rest at the top. She sat down, looking down on the village, and set her staff aside. It had numerous cracks a slits cut into it, and she's been meaning to get a new one for a long time, but she couldn't bring herself to do it somehow. Her face didn't seem as lively as before, the skin grown paler whilst her eyes had become so black it was hard to tell the difference between her iris and her pupil.
She looked down at the small village, noticing a group of children running around with toy swords, enjoying themeselves. Shalura sighed and lay back, watching the sky above her. She felt a large sense of jelousy for them, they didn't have to go through what she was going through, nor did they have to worry about their pasts as well. Eventually, she decided she may as well get up and walk down to the village, maybe she could buy some food to stock up on, but she had little intentions of stopping for a chat right now.
She got to her feet and picked up her staff, resting it on her shoulder as she walked down to the village. Once she came close to the entrance, she noticed a few of the children walking about, looking serious but at the same time holding themselves like they were having a typical play around. She suspected they were trying to be guards of some sort. She walked into the village, and looked about for any places she might be able to find some food supplies.
She spied a few more of the kids standing guard around a large oak tree that seemed to dominate most of the square. She looked up at it, but it didn't really do anything except sway in the breeze. She sighed and leaned against the wall, putting her staff away and resting her hands behind her head.
