Title: The Siren of Death

Raku - October 29, 2005 03:17 AM (GMT)
The town was busy with people calmly talking, trading, and praying to Lothlomendil. Raku hid his face under a hood as he stood at the edge of an alley. Where he stood no direct light hit him. The sun beat down on the ground in front of him, the light almost seemed to taunt him as he stood motionless. Raku's insides shifted under his cloak, the very sight of this place made him sick. Even with all his power he could not bring this city to it's knees by himself, at least not with the heavens watching it so closely. "Lothlomendil your time is almost at end, soon this world will bow down before a new master."

Then Raku began to move out of the alley and to another across the street. He didn't wish to sit still for to long, for he would risk his powers being detected. He was becoming annoyed with himself, he was the most hated God in all Arda, yet these people lived without worry of attack. An old man walking down the alley to aviod the traffic of the streets bumped into Raku. The thought that some mortal near death touched him drove him mad, but instead of snapping the man's back right then and there, he paused. The old man bowed and Raku though furious returned the gesture. As Raku made direct eye contact with the man, the geezer tried to yelp in horror. Raku's swift thinking had already kicked in before a sound could be heard. Inside the man's already broken mind, Raku took control. The man's mouth hung open like a zombie's, drool ran down his chin and then the man simply fell over. Raku then pressed on, making one last glance and a smile at the man's corpse. Raku then whispered."Your death has allowed you to escape me." Raku drifted of down about three more alleys, just to make sure no one saw him at the man's body. Not that it would matter where he was, he couldn't be considered guilty for the man's brain telling the heart to stop. He then leaned on the wall of the alley and gave a laugh, for that death was only the start of his grand design.

Sora - October 29, 2005 12:10 PM (GMT)
Sora was walking in the little town, keeping to herself, leaning against a wall. Her eyes traveled among each person, her cold blue eyes watching them closely. Her senses were all alert and her hand was placed near her sword, just in case. Then hearing odd footsteps and feeling a dark prescence, she turned around, seeing a cloaked figure, walking down an alley. Her eyes narrowed at this as she got up from her wall and silently walking toards the alley. It took awhile trying to get across, all the traffic was making it even harder for her. After a few moments, she came to the enterance of the alley where Raku was. She was going to try and avoid going into the alley alone, but she had no choice.. there was something odd about him, she could feel it in her very soul. Her steps were cautious putting them one foot over the other. Her sword was out now, its glade glistening even in the dark. "Come out!" she said in a loud tone, despite the even louder sounds going on outside the alley. She knew that he could hear her and she stood waiting there, all her senses alert as she waited for the dark and mysterious person to come out from the dark.

Raku - October 30, 2005 08:32 PM (GMT)
Raku's eyes were closed as he started to go into a deep meditation. He began to focus on hiding his power, but his meditation was cut short. Some one had made the biggest mistake of their existance. Raku's eyes opened at the challenge Sora had presented him. He glanced at her and yawned, then stopped leaning on the building. He craked his neck from one side to the other. "I would put the sword away if I were you little girl." Raku's dark cold eyes now fixed on her's. As he stood, the walls of the alley seemed to scream and the area appeared to be darkening. Raku waited for her to turn and run, but he had a feeling she would resist like all the countless others who believed they could win.

Sora - October 30, 2005 10:06 PM (GMT)
Sora gritted her teeth, he made a big mistake calling her a 'little' girl. "I am not a little girl.. you do not know what I am capable of.." she said as she found something within her, bubbling inside of her. This was actually the first time she wanted her demon self to come out. however, she did what she was told from him. She put her sword down, but it was still out of its sheath, sjust incase. "Who are you?... " she said quietly to him. she didn't want to fight him, she knew that he would conquer her eventually. She bowed slightly. "I'm sorry for misunderstanding you .... i didn't know.. that you were ... " she trailed off at t he end. She was hesitating. "i would love to... serve you... you can trust me.." she said.. hoping this would at least humble him.

Raku - November 1, 2005 02:45 AM (GMT)
Raku laughed at her quick change of mind. He then removed the cloak's hood and revealed his face. The God allowed her to get a good look before he but the hood back on. He then shook his head and said. "Little girl you are not as dumb as I had thought, but I am not sure you have what it takes to serve me." He looked at her sword and shook his head again in disappointment. "And you even listen to an enemy and lowered your sword. What do you honestly think you could do to help me, that others cannot?" He turned around slowly expecting her not to say anything that would make him care. He gave one last glance and waited for her response. His eyes stared into her soul searching for any signs of stress. If she was lying he would know and she would not like the out come.

((Sorry if this sucks, but I am still rusty.))

Sora - November 1, 2005 02:59 AM (GMT)
"DO you honest...." she trailed off at the end, now remembering her place. "I don't... count you as an enemy.." she said, now picking her words carefully."I do have what it takes.. to become.. your... apprentice.. I have a lot of things that other people don't have... I ... want revenge.. on other people.. " she hesitated, was it really worth it, what she was doing at this moment. However, everything she was saying at that moment was true... she did want revenge on a few people whatsoever, people that she remembered clearly in her mind, the people who teased her. I also have something... that many people would count as ... normal.." her eyes were suddenly downcast. WOuld he accept her the way she was. Her demon form was squirming inside of her, wanting to get out, but she knew that she had to hold herself in. She couldn't let any emotinos out. She held her sword tighter, her knuckles turning a paler color then it was before.

Raku - November 1, 2005 11:11 PM (GMT)
Raku was disappointed that she wasn't going to give him anymore of an answer than wanting revenge. Raku started to walk away, but then got a small feeling in the back of his mind. He spun around quickly and gazed into her eyes. He could feel something and began to search her mind for it. Though it would take a few minutes to find he would try to keep her busy until then. "So you want revenge huh? Well so do I on a demon named Famine. If you can bring him before me then yes I will allow you to join my ranks. However fail me and you will live in shame forever. Now do you really want to become on of my children. " Bam, he had found it. He could see it plane as day. He then had a thought about his last coment, not that you aren't one of my children already. Yes he had found something inside of her that she clearly was trying to lock away. He however wouldn't announce that he had discovered it, she would have to wait until the time was right. Raku knew that she wouldn't have to wait long.

Sora - November 2, 2005 12:55 AM (GMT)
Sora looked at him. She knew that he knew. "Who is the demon Famine... i have never heard of him.." she said silently. His gaze that lingered on her was uncomfortable, making her shiver. "If i bring him to you... you have to promise. .you will stop hurting innocent people.." she said quietly. HOping this wouldn't anger him, she let out a quick breath. "And... i wouldn't say children... i am not really your children.. just... a person that is at your service.." she said to him, her voice filled with fake honor and respect. Something she didn't often do. "I.. promise.. that i won't fail you... " she said in a hesitated way. "If I do fail.. you can tortue me.. do anything to me.. you now fully control me.." She didn't want anything to do with her life... she knew she had to live, but what could she do with her life, if all she did was cause pain to other people. There was only a matter of hours, the sun was setting, the sky turning a blood red.
