Title: On the way to Somewhere
Description: Open to anyone and all

Jericho Geirr - April 19, 2007 08:48 PM (GMT)
Green eyes reflected the stong light of the sun as the dark head tilted back, following the movement of the black shape across the blue sky. Lorn was acting restless all day, and finally Jericho felt the bird's relief at getting away and flying high. Jericho's eyes slid shut a moment, relishing the feeling of the warm sun on her exposed skin and the sweet smell of grass as a light breeze passed through her hair. Opening the glowing green eyes she possessed once more, she concentrated on where she was going, steering the little horse she'd bought at the last town. She didn't like small towns too much. Druids could be mistaken for witches much more easily and some didn't take kindly to druids at all. But she was a peaceful person, a kind person. She never hurt anyone, at least not anymore.

Lorn swooped down out of the sky, landing on the horses rump and fluttering up to sit with a tiny caw at her shoulder. She reached up and petted the raven's soft head with a click of her tongue and the bird cawwed again, giving her a stern look. He'd not paid attention to the lands around. Lorn had a problem paying attention when he flew, and he was supossed to bring back any information on approaching travelers, but he nearly almost always forgot. Jericho sighed and urged the horse forward again, hoping that in the twilight she wouldn't run into any highwaymen or bandits. It had happened before, and being as peaceful as she was, she'd managed to get away with a few gestured spells and a fast horse to carry her far away. It helped to know that in case of dire emergency, she always had the small dagger tucked away somewhere.

Wearing nothing but light clothing, her shoulder bared by the strip of cloth surrounding her torso and breasts that served as covering, her cloak was on the horses rump behind her. It was too hot to wear something so heavy, and plus, she didn't think anyone was around. Lorn's talons dug into her shoulder and the Raven clacked his manibles together, causing Jericho to smile at him. Silly bird.

Michaleson was battered he had managed to escape the troll with his life, just. He stumbled out on tot he road and started to look for travelers, he needed supplies so he could get to the nearest outpost, he saw a traveler coming along the road he started to wave frantically, then his pet mouse squeaked a warning, but it was to late a bandit jumped out behind him a put a knife to his neck.

Jericho's eyes went off the road for just a moment. A mere moment. She supossed later that that was all it took, just that one moment and everything would shift. She felt the shifting first, at least she thought she might've. The intrusion on her peace came with it's own sense of foreboding. A man was on the path, and he was bloodied and torn, waving at her. Green eyes the color of freshly cut grass widened as she started forward on her feet, grasping the cloak and throwing it over her naked shoulders.

"Are you alright!!!?" She called down the road, continuing forward until she saw a cruel looking man slip a sharp knife beneath the jaw of the battered man. Not very good at all. Clearly the man was not alright... Narrowing her eyes, she stopped, hands up, about ten feet away. What to do? Annalyzing her choices quickly, her hands dropped quickly and concentrating deeply, her fingers came together in an odd gesture. Fear spell. Anyone who wasn't a percieved friend would instantly be frightened of her. As if she were a large mother bear protecting young.

"Get out of here you coward!" She yelled at the bandit, and he turned tail, face ashen with fright as she glared, knowing his heart was beating faster than it ever had, that he had never known fear as deeply as this fear he was now in the grips of. Score one for the Druid.

The bandit suddenly seemed to be struck full of fear as if he had just seen a vampire, he looked and just saw the same traveler coming down the road, he collapsed he was so tired after what had happened though the day he could barley stand, he took his pet off his shoulder and placed him in his pocket he was feeling extremely tired he had to rest. He blacked out lying on the floor.

Jericho looked down at her feet where the bleeding man had fallen and looked towards the heavens a moment. Okay... wasn't the first time. Bending down, she brushed his hair back from his head and inspected him a moment. She reached around him and rolled him over, laying him on his back. Clicking her fingers in his face, she brushed her dreaded long black hair back behind her shoulder.

" Someone certainly had a bad day, didn't they?" She said softly, her gaze travelling down his body and wondering what had come along that could do him such harm. Sitting back, she put her hands to her face and watched him, not daring to touch him until he woke up himself.

He came to with a start he was sweating dreadfully like he had just woken from a nightmare, his face was crossed with fear, he looked around and realized he was lying in the middle of the dusty road, then he remembered what had happened, the pain came back to him, all his limbs ached, had lost a tooth as well, he looked around for the bandit but he was no where in sight, then he realized the druid next to him, it made him jump and he scuttled back a few paces and stared grasping for his sword but he missed it. He felt his head, there was a warm trickle of blood of blood it must have damaged his hand eye coordination. “Who are you?" he asked. He then stood and fell back wards the blow to his head was more serious than he thought.

The man awakened, eyes looking at her crouched near him and then, not surprisingly, he moved. He didn't just move, he moved quickly, and away. Jericho was used to people being frightened of Druids. Many thought her kind were witches and placed curses on people. She'd been blamed from anything to infertility to plagues. He was frightened and she understood his fear. Standing, she folded her arms. He tried to stand but fell back.

'Who are you?' He asked and Jericho smiled gently.

"My name is Jericho...you have nothing to fear, please be still?" She asked, her voice calming and as deep as a moss-covered forest...there was some sort of power in her voice, and in the way she stood. She maintained that she wasn't powerful persay, but merely confident in herself. One didn't manage to live this long without being confident of their abilities.

He stopped moving, she was awfully carm. there was a warm trickle of blood running down his face the wound gave off immense pain and the silence of the road was unnerving, maybe he should avoid trolls from now, he yet again tried to stand, he got to his feet and wobbled dangerously but regained his balance, wiping the blood off his head on his sleeve he looked around, "where am I?" he asked. The dusty road seemed to go on forever but it could be an illusion created by his wound.

Jericho looked up and down the road and shrugged. She actually wasn't sure where she was. She knew she was in the Taurai Woods, but other than that... she never paid much attention to where she was, or where she was going.

"I'm not sure where we are... we're in the Taurai Woods...I'm travelling. Who are you?" She asked, moving to dig in her cloak pocket for a long scrap of cloth. "Would you like me to help your head, you're bleeding..."

"I'm not sure where we are... we're in the Taurai Woods...I'm traveling. Who are you?""Would you like me to help your head, you're bleeding..." she said, " I am Michaleson, my head will be find" He started walking towards the woods he peered in the looming darkness seemed to close in around creating a narrow tunnel, he decided better to stay on the road." off down the road I go I need to get to a town fast"

Jericho Geirr - April 26, 2007 07:09 PM (GMT)
Her dark head inclined and she stepped away graciously. If the man wished to be alone and pretend that his wounds didn't need to be treated, then she wouldn't press the issue. She was never one to help those who didn't ask for it.

" Sir, It seems to me that there may be more bandits on the road and if you are heading the same direction as I, may we not travel together?" She didn't want to admit that she was afraid of what might come of her alone on a road such as this.

amedunk1 - April 26, 2007 08:24 PM (GMT)
he looked towards her "I am not going in any particular direction if this road leads to a road then yes I will travel with you" he said, he looked down the deserted road, there were many places for a bandit to hide. He wiped to the blood of his fore head and began the journey down the road, the forest was dark and an ambush could happen from any where, the tree tops were easy to reach so they could jump down on you. It was no longer safe to journey on your own. He drew his sword from it’s sheath and started to go down the ever winding cobbled road
