Title: A memories faded
Description: [O]

Calliandra Tal'ed - April 17, 2007 10:14 PM (GMT)
The full moon rose high over the falls, barely a soul in sight other then those of the night animals. It was cool, a brisk wind blew across everything, made colder from the water around. Life seemed for a moment to be put on hold beneath the moonlight.

A sudden bang echoed out in the distance and a small light appeared. Through the light came a small shadow in the sky. It grew bigger as it fell, closer, closer to the ground. The wind picked up, and down into the water the shadow fell. It was a human, or at least appeared to be a human girl. She had landed right into the water, seemingly unconscious. However once the water hit across her soft, fair skin she awoke. For a moment she floated under the water, stunned as she saw few fish infront of her. Shaking it off she swam up and took a breath once she reached the surface. She climbed out of the water and kept going up the falls until she reached a large mossy boulder.

The girl breathed in and out. Her long black hair was dripping wet, a single red strand fell from the bunch. She shivered in the wind. She wore a cloak but while it was wet it did not keep her from the cold. Her eyes were shut through the pain. On her back was a small glowing red mark. It was the shape of two wings and the top of her spine. Under neath it was the name "Calliandra". Quickly her eyes opened, a deep blue piercing the night.

Looking around at her surroundings she was scared. She didn't know nor remember anything about herself or how she got here. Her eyes closed again and she dug deep into her memory to remember anything...

"It seems I'm not the only one who roams these woods by nightfall."

Tamaile smiled politely at the young woman, though the smile was cold and cruel and did not reach her eyes - not something most wanted to see in a forest this thick in the middle of the night. But then, maybe this girl wasn't like most others. There was certainly something - odd - about her. There was a great deal of power within her - Tamaile could feel it. She wondered briefly if she might be able to exploit it?

For a moment Calliandra stayed eyes closed though she heard the womens voice, her body trembeling, not from fear, but from the cold and from pain. Her body started to feel the aftereffects from the fall down from... well whereever it was she came from. Slowly she brought her hands and rubbed them vigerously against her temples. No memories came back to her. All she knew about herself at the time being was her name.

After a few minutes of still sitting in silence she adknowledged the other girls presense. Her arms still by her head she opened her eyes and turned her line of sight to the girl. She looked only to be a few years older then Call, if that. Her hair reminded her much of her own, as did the girls eyes. However there was something that told Call to put up a barrier. She had no means of protecting herself, other then physical strength. But that may not work. Many thoughts went through her mind. Roaming barely. I've not roamed but a foot. Slowly she stood up.

As she stood each muscle on her body burned through with pain. Quickly she bit down on her tounge, hard enough to make it bleed slightly. Damn it., she thought. If only I could remember what I am doing here, how I got here, anything! A frown came across her face. It was one of the most frustrating feelings in the world, not being able to remember anything...

Tamaile Kinderode - April 18, 2007 01:40 AM (GMT)
"Take your time. It seems you took quite a fall. Perhaps I could help you."

But the smile she gave didn't offer help. No one with any brains would have accepted help from someone with a smile like that. The people she'd killed? Some of them said before they died that her smile was like looking a cobra in the eyes and watching it grin as it swallowed you whole.

Still, she would help the woman - if the woman helped her. That was the way of things, you see; Tamaile never did anything for anyone unless she was repaid in some way. And what she asked for often wasn't what people wanted to give up.
