Title: Evil Things

Viashineo - April 16, 2007 01:42 AM (GMT)
As always, Viashineo began his walk as soon as the sun had hidden itself within the mountains, and the moon shown bright over the horizon. The darkness was more comforting for the lich, as it was it's mysterious aura that fueled his undead curiousity. Even more, he was travelling through the swamps, and he could not think of any better place to be.

There were the days when this body of his would have found it's time on the shores of Lake Aelin, but that was long ago, and so many things have happened since them, things that made him want to never return there again. Perhaps, there could be an exception, but not today.

Viashineo stayed along the path, on the firmer ground, which to his dismay was still mud, but partially drier. An occasional rock or two would send him off balance as he walked, but it only made the trek more interesting. All the while, he thought of things that he always pondered upon on these adventures, whether it was coming up with a scheme or any new way to fuel his boredom.

Unknowingly to him, the lich decided to stop for a second, and lean on a tree that was just off the path. His robes flew in the wind with each occasional gust, but he did not pay attention, as he was still caught up in his thoughts, soemthign that he found both a strength, and a weakness.

Terror-bane - April 16, 2007 01:58 AM (GMT)
Terror-bane trudged though the wet and muddy swamp, the mud sticking to his thick black cloth boots. Rotting trees surrounded the swamp and a strong wind blew. He did not mind the mud, or even the fierce wind, however he did mind the surface world. It was very different from the world he had been born in. He had been born underground in a lightless carven.

Terror-bane felt his feet slid, and his footing change. He decided that he needed to find better footing. After searching for a few moments Terror-bane found a rough path, it seemed more solid then the path he had been on a few moments before. A cold wind blew, and he pulled his black cloak tighter around him. That was the one thing Terror-bane hated, the cold. “It was never cold below the surface.” muttered Terror-bane, as he walked along the newly found path.

For the next few minutes, Viashineo stood his place off the trail, against a tree which he was actually finding quite comfortable. He brought his hands into his cloak and locked his legs tight, creating a stronger foundation. Every passing moment the world seemed to grow darker, and the sounds of the swamp began to fade. To him, every frog, cricket, and tree was slowly disappearing from reality.

The lich did not feel as if he was dozing off, just concentrating harder. Nor would he call it a meditation, just a heightened sense of what was happening within his mind, which was to him the most vital tool in battle.

Although, he felt too relaxed, so Viashineo reached into his robe and sheathed Necrosis. He brought it out into the air and held it in front of him, using his arm to hold it out. He then began to play wioth it, twirling it around, but grew tired of his actions, and stabbed it in the ground, placing his hand on the hilt as if it were a hand rest.

Tonight was as uneventful as the many before it.

Terror-bane - April 16, 2007 02:36 AM (GMT)
Terror-bane’s damp mud encrusted boots made dull noises as he walked down the rough path. He grumbled as the cold wind blew, his cloak may have been thick, but it didn’t prevent the cold from reaching his dark purple skin. Terror-bane looked up ahead, and saw a figure in a dark cloak. The figure was leaning against an old tree, and a sword was jutting out of the ground in front of him. Terror-bane squinted, but he could not see the figure’s face. He drew his dagger but kept it hidden under his cloak. Terror-bane wasn’t sure if the figure was a friend or foe, but his wasn’t going to let the figure get the drop on him. He increased his walking speed, and approached the figure.

As Viashineo continued to rest, someone appeared from out of the shadows in the distance, and walked in his direction. He remained as he was though, thinking him just a passerby. But, as the figure got closer, it steered more into his direction.

"Can't anyone just pass by?" the lich asked himself, preparing to engage in conversation. Afterall, it would be rude to simply ignore the person. But, as it got even closer, he soon realized the it wasn't even a person, but a race he had not yet encountered.

Then, at last, it walked up to Viashineo, and stood there, so he thought he had but only one choice.

"How can I help you?" he asked, grasping his sword even tighter.

Terror-bane - April 16, 2007 04:33 PM (GMT)
Terror-bane studied the cloaked figure; the figure had blood red eyes, and black hair, but these features weren’t what interested Terror-bane. The feature that interested him was that the figure was made completely of bone. Terror-bane wondered how the figure could move and talk if the figure was only bone, but he could find out later. Terror-bane pulled back the hood of his black cloak, and said “I have never met a being like you before, however that is not what I am about to ask. I sense a similar evil in you, perhaps the same that is in me. I wish to know if you know, where I can go, where I can let loose my evil nature.”
