IC:Serenity walked through the swamp. She had nowhere to go at the moment, and felt comfort in the shadows. She walked slowly over the moist ground. Her sight was restricted by the ever forming shadows. She wasn't scared to be alone, in fact she felt empowered by it.
Soon the peacefulness of being alone had be inturrupted. A voice of a little girl had rung out over the swamp " Someone help me, is anyone there!" Serenity moved towards the sounds. She moved quickly, heading towards the screams of a child. She was a demon, but she was also curious as to what scared this little girl so.
She stopped moving when she came upon a house. It was a very old mansion that seemed to have risen from the shadows. She also seen a little girl run through two large doors, that where made of beautifully carved wood, the likes of which Serenity has never seen.
Serenity moved through the rod iron gates, covered almost completely in vines. She now found herself in a cortyard, surrounded by thick stone walls. In the cortyard the fog was thick, but low to the ground, only coming up to Serenity's ancles. The cortyard had man dead plants and housed an ancient cemetary. Some of the tombstones where sunk into the ground, others cracked or crumbled, while others where still standing strong, but vines and moss growing over them.
Serenity moved onward through the dark. This place gave her a strange feeling, as if it was a dream. It was if she had no control over her actions, and couldn't help but move forward. She stepped up onto the old wooden porch that went around the entire house. Her hand went to the door, shaking. She placed her hand on it and the door moved open slowly, as if she was expected to go in. She stepped in slowly, now standing on elaborate marble floor.
The inside of the house was huge, and finely decorated. There was many rooms straight ahead, to the left, and to the right. There was also two extravigant staircases on each side of the room, both moving around the length of the room, and meeting at the second floor. There had to be at least five stories to the house, including the basement and attic.
Everything had dust on it, and cobwebs where littered in the house. It was if the house hadn't been disturbed in many years. Serenity walked forward a bit, shoes clicking on the marble floor of the room. She now stood in the middle of the room, turning to see all the doorways that she could take. Soon she heard the cry of the girl again. It seemed to come from all areas of the house. What was going on here?
He was out exploring, he had traveled thought the misty forest and found the swamp, he stated trudging though it when he heard a young girl cry out. He believed she was in trouble and rushed in the direction it came from. he ran then he saw a girl running though the back doors of a mansion, it loomed over him meaninglessly like it was a giant, he followed the girl in side, he came to the doors and surprisingly they were extremely stiff he had to pry it open. He then stumbled inside to what seemed a kitchen, the door slammed shut behind him and all was dark.
By now, Winter was used to the swamp and barely noticed the march that was almost swallowing her feet with every step she took, she kept her gaze straight ahead and moved forward without slowing down. Since her adventure with the insects, she had almost grown bored with all the spare time she had and therefore had returned to the old haunt in a vain hope of finding another adventure to occupy her boredom, and she seemed to have found it.
She stopped and looked up at the sound of the scream, she looked round and narrowed her eyes in the direction of the sound and began to move faster in the sound's direction. She drew one of her katanas and cut down any dead branches or bushes that were in her way, even the stubborn ones fell under her ability to cleave objects in two with one heavy swipe. Eventually she reached a place where the trees thinned and placed her katana back within her scabbard.
She looked round and saw the form of a large house standing tall in front of her, looming and empty like some form of horrific, deformed skull. She moved forward and entered the strange courtyard. On first glance she might have mistaken it for a church and graveyard, if the main building had a bell tower or a large round window in the front but it had neither. She moved on, ignoring the mist wrapping around her ankles.
She stopped in front of the main door and looked into the building, she thought she could see somebody else moving inside. She stepped through the doors and looked about, the place was just as gloomy as it was in the courtyard, she looked around for the other person she'd thought she'd seen, maybe it had been her screaming. The cry came again, this time from everywhere inside the house. Winter tightened her hand into a fist and grabbed the katana on her left, waiting for any kind of enimy to show.
