Title: Searching...
Lord Naz Elendor - March 22, 2007 08:47 AM (GMT)
As Elendor was getting closer to the city of Yomenïampa,he could feel the familiar, elvish aura getting stronger.Been a half-quendi,the elvish connection in his blood was strong and he could sense another elf from a distance away. The aura had been a guide for Elendor himself to reach this city safely. He could hear footsteps following him as he walked in the wood and he knew he had to stop as he heard more footsteps from the side of him and three to four elves appeared around him, armed with their arrows in bow, aiming at him. They He recognised them immediately..they were Quendish elves..the race of his mother. The leader of them, however was not aiming his bow at him and he leaped before Elendor and spoke, his voice musical and high-pitched,"Malaes,rnaer eisi o pyl ail os jhal?"[Why have you entered our lands stranger?]
Elendor bowed to the leader and replied,"Ai cali byr tasti caesi ail aelor ailaerol,Ai tasti caesi sai boror os cel."[I have not came here in evil intetions,I came here to visit your queen].The leader was slightly taken back as Elendor replied back in the high language and quizzed,"Eisi o os col?"[Are you our kind?]Elendor replied, with a smile,"Eilyr.Tal Ai aelaes byrn?"[Almost. Can I enter now?]The leader gave way and replied,"Shaelysti sai os toria os Ostaelïaesae.O tal thol si Kaer Cel ail si condraer, rairis si eindaer."[Welcome to our city. The Queen's palace is the highest, and the silver tree ahead].Elendor bowed to the man and entered the city of Yomenïampa. He was covered in a grand city of tree-top buildings. It was amazing and Elendor searched for the Queen's castle.

Ancalë was beside himself with fury as he strode down the spiraling stair to meet this man that had gained entry to their forest haven without any interference. His messengers had announced that it was so and so the General armed himself. His ornate spear on his back, silver cloak covering his silver hilted broadsword. His eyes blazed threateningly at the thought of an intruder in the compounds. Just as he touched the forest floor, Ancalë found his man. His eyes adjusted to the sight of him. He was not very imposing. Ancalë looked at the one in charge of letting people in and out of the city. He decided that he had to have some serious words with their superiors about this. They should have greeted him at arrow-point and not allowed him in so quickly. Eyes still aflame, Ancalë planted himself in front of the stranger and set his eyes on the man.
"Hold your position!" he shouted to him in the common-tounge. Turning his eyes towards the guardsmen in charge, Ancalë looked at the shoulders of the highest ranking person. A mere Private First Class.
"Private!" he shouted to him in the tongue of the High Elves, also known as Quenya.
"Get over here! What do you think you are doing allowing this man in here without so much as drawing a dagger you incompetant ass!?" he shouted.
"With all due respect sir, I am a Private First Class." the young Elf replied cooly in the same tounge. His back talking, question avoiding attitude was complimented by a swift backhand from the general.
"Not any more you're not Private. I'm a General, you are a Private, do you get me?" The Private nodded.
Good! Now get out of my sight, I'll handle things from here and I will most certainly deal with you later." The last sentence was vaguely ominous as it left his lips.
Eyes were on the General, who turned his attention back to the one who had gotten into the city alone, without an Elven escort.
"You!" he said to the man. "What do you think you're doing here? State your business." Ancalë said with the tone of a commanding officer. His hand suggestively resting on his spear, which he had drawn in his fury, perhaps even unconsciously. He thought about it a second and then added "And tell me how you managed to get here without a horde of arrows pointed at you."

Elendor was walking into teh city of elves when he heard another elf,who seem to be superior confront him and call upon the guards who allowed him in and scolded him in Quenya,Elendor though could understand every word he spoke. As the man turned to him,he recognised him as a paladin just like him.Elendor dropped his Katana on the ground, totally disarmed and smiling at the man he spoke,in Quenya,"Friend,I am no foe..I am just a visitor..your Queen will know me..my mom is one of your kind...I have came here..to speak to your Queen..seeking for help..she will want to hear about me.."He then turned to the guards and siad,"As to why they allowed me in..obviously..they had more trust in someone who speak the High tongue rather than any others.."

"Friend, I am no foe, I am just a visitor. Your Queen will know me, my mom is one of your kind. I have come here to speak to your Queen, seeking for help. She will want to hear about me," The man spoke in Quenya, though his accent was a little odd. "As to why they allowed me in, obviously they had more trust in someone who speaks the High tongue rather than any others."
Ancalë raised an eyebrow upon hearing the words. He was not taken aback that the man spoke in the High Tongue, but was rather a little annoyed by how the attitude this man seemed to have spoke volumes of assumption.
"It may interest you to know, fellow, that I am one of the 'Queen's' most trusted guards. Nobody just walks on in here, armed, demanding to speak with our Lady. Nobody that is a potential hostile can just walk into our domain wanting to see the Lady of the Elves, and get to see her by words of faith alone." Ancalë said. "Nobody who wishes his life to remain in tact at least. Or anybody with a shred of sanity left. We of the guard are most protective of the Lady." he added in afterthought.
"Consider this, fellow. I swear to you that I will not kill you if you harm the queen. Do you believe me? Of course you don't. I speak perfect Drow. As a matter of fact I am fluent in four different tounges. Quenya, Sindarin, Drow, and the common. If I were to adorn the garb and expression of a Dark Knight and walk into the Talche'el, the Evil City in the Rainforest, and demand, in Drowish, to see High Priest Vyk'zlade, do you not think they would kill me on the spot? Are you so arrogant that you believe to defeat me and those of the guard? Or are you that sure of your power? If you are I can assure you I would most readily test you." The whole notion of somebody coming in and ramming a knife into the One General Ancalë Varnoi would gladly die for, or slitting her throat, had done considerably more than set his teeth on edge. It made rage course through him and boil his blood. So he quelled the thought and focused on the matter at hand. What to do with this stranger.

"I can respect your position,Guard..and you are very loyal in service to the Queen..she will be proud..I,like you,am in the Light Army..and I fight against the forces of Darkness as well..we are in the same side..now can I ask..if I were to pass you my Katana, the only weapon I hold..would I be gain entry..this is rather urgent you see,friend.."Elendor asked, calmly.

(OOC: Do a favor, my character IC is not known as 'Radiant Guard' an he hasn't even told yours his name yet. So there would be no way of your character knowing it even if it were his title. Thanks in advance.)
"I can respect your position, General, And you are very loyal in service to the Queen she will be proud. I, like you, am in the Light Army and I fight against the forces of Darkness as well. We are in the same side. Now can I ask if I were to pass you my Katana, the only weapon I hold, would I be gain entry? This is rather urgent you see, friend."
Aside from wondering how exactly this fellow knew he was in the Light Army. Ancalë wondered how many weapons were actually concealed. Ancalë considered the man's proposal for a second and then held up his hand.
"You will see the 'Queen'-" he said after a moment.
"-but you will do so under the harshest security you can imagine. You will drop your weapons, all of them, whatever they may be, right here and right now. You will ascend the staircase at the tip of this spear." he guestured with the razor edged weapon with the sharp, serrated wings making it look almost like a trident of sorts.
"And thus shall you see our Lady. And know this, fellow, should you attempt to do harm to anybody, whatever the reason, especially her, this will pierce your back and go through your chest, I will lift, and you will be dead within the space of seven heartbeats."

(Oops my bad..I thought Radiant Guard was your title here B) )

Elendor pondered over it and the harshest possible security and smirking he nodded and dropped his Katana, his only weapon he was holding and replied,"Now I am unarmed..like a commoner..am I allowed entry now?"He was slightly taken back at the guard's strict conditions and harsh security..wondering if he looked suspicious in the least.

(That's a better quality post than the others! Keep it up. ^_^ )
Dropping his katana to the floor with a quiet thud upon the soft, mossy earth, the man grinned, or was it a smirk?
"Now I am unarmed, like a commoner, am I allowed entry now?" he asked, the faintest traces of curiosity stirring his features. Ancalë turned his head and thought for a second. There were, doubtless, a few of the Forest's Archers eying the scenario right now, but the General decided to keep that quiet. No need in the stranger knowing, so Ancalë wouldn't tell. The General nodded bluntly, and then he walked around the stranger and took his position, readying his spear. He would have prefered the sword for it's simplicity, because the spear was a much more difficult weapon to level, and much harder to draw, but seeing as it was already out, and would be more fatal if it pierced, he used it. And there was always the fact that Ancalë was by far best with the spear when compared to any other weapon, and if thie man turned out to be an expert assassin with knives or something, Ancalë wanted to have all the advantage.
"I think you can find the way from here," Ancalë said, reverting back to the common tongue so that the sarcastic humor in his tone would be more easily recognized. "And if you can't," he added shortly, "you know where to find me." and right after he spoke the last word, he lightly poked with his spear, nudging the man forward.
"Oh, and don't worry about your sword." he added as an afterthought. "The others will not touch it, and if they do, they will only do so if told to. So if you will be sleeping tonight in our city, we can have them bring it up." as he prepared to march, Ancalë wondered again about one of the reasons he assumed this man would try and raise trouble. He had no supplies, and one reason on would travel without supplies but a weapon would mean that he intended to kill somebody, and not survive afterwards.

(Thanks! B) )
As the guard was searching him for weapons.Elendor could not help but notice that the other elven archers had their weapons trained against him, just waiting for the order to fire. After what seem liek hours, the guard had finished searching him and announced he was allowed to enter.Elendor smiled and replied politely,"Thank you,Guard.I might need to stay in this city for some days before I am to leave..so it would very much appreciated if you could bring my knife up..and thank you once again!"He bowed to the guard and started up the spiral stairs up the tree.
