Title: The House by the Grave
Description: Open
Rumasak - March 21, 2007 01:49 PM (GMT)
Dori'ba, a land known for its dead. Looking around now at the area, the lone demon was surprised that he even lived here once. He walked around trying to find the right path years away from Arda had done him no good. The demon tried to think about the directions he was going when he saw the symbol. It was a marking of a demon crest, but it was the correct symbol. He followed it and found another and another.
It was not long before he had found his way to an old house. The area was clear of graves and bones except for one. The lone grave in the back, the workmanship was different then the last time. "So She has a real gravestone now." the demon said as a small wind picked up. He went into the house and walked around, the destruction by weathering was great but he could still tell many things. He saw something interesting though. The roof had been redone, sticks no longer covered and made way for a roof, although the outside of the house was still ruined someone had fixed the inside. "That kid..." he said putting his hand on the door frame of what would have been a baby's room. He looked around then went outside. At the grave he stood for a while, silent. But the silence was broken when he heard someone approach and a smell waifted on the gentle breeze.
Nesh Psion Spartan - March 21, 2007 02:29 PM (GMT)
Nesh Psion Spartan was wandering about the graveyard. He was looking for a particular tomb for it had some scrolls hidden in it. The scrolls were actually ancient prophecies and he badly needed them to complete his private task. Soon enough the late sun decided to go back into the shadows and the moon came over to take cover. The moonlight seemed unusually bright, such that in the eastern horizon he could see the nearby town sparkling with life. By then, Nesh was exhausted and decided to take refuge in a nearby ground until the night lasted. At the end of a particular grave there was a house. A very run down one it was and was made of oak. It looked so fragile that Nesh was first hesitant to make his move there. He looked at the darkening sky and decided to spend his night in the house. He then started walking towards the ancient house.
Rumasak - March 21, 2007 09:54 PM (GMT)
The demon turned and saw someone approaching. He looked at it, the exact race of this being was uncertian almost impossible to distinguish. He watched, his grey eyes mirroring the moonlight. "It is not natural to see someone here, at least one who does not know of this house. What is the reason of your presence here?" he said. Rumasak wondered who this person was and what he was doing at his old home.
He moved in between the house and the unknown being. "I am Rumasak, who are you? he asked placing his hand on his longsword, gripping it tightly waiting for the beings next movements. Wether they be friendly or foey he would be ready for it.
Nesh Psion Spartan - March 22, 2007 05:19 AM (GMT)
A lawfully good demon...interesting said Nesh cooly, not even bothering about the demon's fist that was clutching tightly onto a sword. Im not here to harm, if that is my business i wouldnt even be talking to you...i came here to collect an ancient prophecy that is rumoured to be buried among the tombs...so this is your house? asked Nesh, hoping for some answers from the demon. Perhaps we could go in and discuss? And by the way, I am Nesh Psion Spartan, a warrior psion...you are?
Tyrant Cecelia - March 25, 2007 07:24 AM (GMT)
Cecelia was walking through the graveyard to lay a white rose down on her brothers tomb.

It had been several years since his death, a great loss for her family, but she knew she'd seem him again! Just not in this life time! After setting the rose on his grave and removing a couple fallen limbs from the death bed she stood up into the rainy mist which had just begun! Thunder had closed in on her and the rain grew harder and soon turned to hail. She looked around for a place that might shelter her until the storm had passed hopefully not long.
Running across the graveyard to a little house that looked abandoned to her. She then slowed down as she saw two men standing next to each other. One of demon like qualities and another of warrior. She walked hesitantly up to them.
"Do you mind if I wait inside this house until the storm passed?" She yelled over the increasingly loud storm.
Nesh Psion Spartan - March 25, 2007 09:08 AM (GMT)
Nesh looked upon the new stranger. It was an elegant looking girl. But she looked very familiar. Nesh pondered where he could have seen her when she asked whether she could take shelter in the broken down house. Haha, that was what i was asking this gentleman here said Nesh to the girl, pointing to Rumasak. By the way, my name is Nesh Psion Spartan, a warrior psion...what bring you here? The graveyard is not a hospitable place for a lady like you, moreover at this hour asked Nesh, glancing at the dark moon hovering deep into the sky.
Tyrant Cecelia - March 25, 2007 08:41 PM (GMT)
Cecelia narrowed her eyes as the rain began to run down her face and into her eyes, causing her a bit of trouble seeing.
"Haha, that was what I was asking this gentleman here! said the boy with purple eyes that were so prominent in the dark. "By the way, my name is Nesh Psion Spartan, a warrior psion...what bring you here? The graveyard is not a hospitable place for a lady like you, moreover at this hour." He added.
"I was visiting my brothers grave when it began to rain." She said. "My name is Cecelia!" She said holding out her hand for a shake.
Rumasak - March 26, 2007 11:15 PM (GMT)
Rumasak let his mind drift for a moment as the stranger approached, he seemed surprised at his alignment. Im not here to harm, if that is my business i wouldnt even be talking to you...i came here to collect an ancient prophecy that is rumoured to be buried among the tombs...so this is your house? Rumasak looked at the halfway destroied building, Perhaps we could go in and discuss? And by the way, I am Nesh Psion Spartan, a warrior psion...you are? He shrugged. I am Rumasak. And..It was. Once. A long time ago. But yes, it is almost ready to rain." he said then looked at the lone grave marker.
Suddenly a crash of thunder gave way and a downpour started, he looked and saw someone running towards them. "Do you mind if I wait inside this house until the storm passed?" Rumasak looked at them both and nodded, "I was visiting my brothers grave when it began to rain. My name is Cecelia!" Rumasak shook his head, "Children these days have no sence. Lets get inside before we get sick. Hurry." he said opening the door and leading them in. The living room was silent as rain was heard hitting the newly made roof. Almost everything was the same. The walls still shone signs of the fire, and his heart ached as he smelled the faint aroma of someone familiar. The rain would wash away the scent outside soon enough. "Hope you dont mind the visitors Arella, they needed shelter because of the rain" He said distantly.
Tyrant Cecelia - March 27, 2007 02:08 AM (GMT)
"Children these days have no sense. Lets get inside before we get sick. Hurry." Said the other man leading us inside. Inside the house it was quiet all that was heard was the sound of rain pounding on the roof almost like a heart beat. Steady and never ending. The room was tinted with a faint glow of a fire, and it smelled of some expensive perfume.
"Hope you don't mind the visitors Arella, they needed shelter because of the rain" He said aloud but somewhat to himself.
"This is a beautiful home! Is this place yours? Cecelia asked. "Also if you don't mind me asking, what are you doing here." She added as she put her drenched coat up near the door and took of her muddy wet shows on the welcome carpet.
Nesh Psion Spartan - March 27, 2007 03:48 AM (GMT)
So rumasak tell me about yourself...said Nesh as he sat down on a creaking wooden chair. The drenched pants of Nesh soaked the wooden chair, changing his color to pale brown. I am Nesh Psion Spartan, i am from a distant land...a psionic elf actually...what about yourselves and what do you do here? asked Nesh, with rising curiousity.
However, Nesh could feel that something else was in the house with them. Something that cannot be noticed by the naked eye. He knew that anything could happen here, even something negative. But Nesh never worried about danger, for he was taught to love it...
Tyrant Cecelia - March 27, 2007 05:38 PM (GMT)
Cecelia followed Nesh in and sat on the wooden floor near the fire place. She added some more wood to the fire and stocked it up, after a little while she got the flames to grow into a gorgeous size creating much heat for those who were as cold as death it's self. She stood up and looked at the man who invited them in.
"Do you mind if I sit down? She asked.
Nesh Psion Spartan - March 29, 2007 05:32 AM (GMT)
Nesh answered the girl he wouldnt, if he did he wouldnt even have let you in, in the first place mocked Nesh. Nesh was more at ease now that the fireplace was well lit. Once again he noticed something moving about in the house. Like an invisible spirit that was swirling around them. He could hear the whispers of the air which made silent signals that there was something else in the room. He then looked upon Rumasak who was silent most of the time. Do you live here alone or is there something else with you...i mean someone else...questioned Nesh with curiousity...
Tyrant Cecelia - March 30, 2007 01:39 PM (GMT)
"he wouldnt, if he did he wouldnt even have let you in, in the first place." Nesh answered. Cecelia looked at the man who let them in and he seemed to have drifted off into his own world. Cecelia then sat down hesitantly. She leaned back on the rocking chair and her whole body began to relax.
Cecelia sat and fiddled with her wet black hair. She then saw something out of the corner of her eye. Looking over, whatever she had seen disappeared. Cecelia narroed her eyes suspiciously and then shrugged it off.
Zeratul - March 30, 2007 09:36 PM (GMT)
Zeratul Nightkreek, the Kolikk Renant, had been traveling through one of his favorite places in the world, Dori'ba, the Land of the Dead. Because of his ancient kin and their mistake, he know lived for darkness, and almost hated the light. As he had been traveling, he had not took his solid form, and was moving as a wisp, or a translucent ghost. You could see the sides of his mouth curl up at the site of so many bones, strewn throughout the land of Darkness. Although some rogue Kolikks had abandoned darkness, they all shared basic personality traits. Many of them loathed to see suffering and deceit, treachory and betrayal. This particular one lived to see death, chaos and specifically War.
After venturing deep into the dark lands of Dori'ba, he noticed a light sprinkle. Rain would definitely damage him if he was still in his wisp form, so he switched back to the solid Zeratual. He kept trudging on silently, trying to find some sort of shelter. He glanced at many destroyed houses and desecrated graves, obviously the work of Graverobbers, Bandits and whatnot. After about an hour of trying to find shelter, he noticed a lone house next to a single grave, neither desecrated or exploited. He walked a little bit faster towards the house, as the rain started pouring harder and harder, the mud squishing and making uncomfortable noises under his shoes. He finally reached the house and knocked loudly on the door, to see if anyone could let him out of the rain.
Rumasak - March 31, 2007 03:42 AM (GMT)
The rain drummed on the new roof of the house, Rumasak looked over the living room. Everything was as it was nineteen years ago. He looked around and wondered if his box was still in its compartment behind the bookcase. He could feel the chill in the air as he realized a window's shutters were still open. He moved over and shut them as he seen something out of the corner of his eye. He figured Arella was just checking on them, ever since she had died they hadnt spoken, in fact this was the first time he even visited her grave. He turned and started a fire in the fireplace, the flames danced as his mind went back to the years before.
His thoughts were broken by the sound of the rocking chair, he turned and saw the girl in it ringing out her hair, Do you live here alone or is there something else with you...i mean someone else... Rumasak looked at Nesh Psion. "Twenty years ago I moved here with my wife, Arella shortly after we got married. Two years later she gave birth to my daughter. When my daughter was three a group of evil beings attacked us, I had escaped with my daughter but my wife Arella died in that fight. Her spirit has never left the house, a constant blessing watch over our daughter and a constant curse for my stupidity in thinking that I could protect my family. I had hidden my daughter away but she disappeared. I have been searching for her ever sence." he said.
Suddenly there was a banging at the door. Rumasak froze for a moment, then turned and opened it. "What are you doing in the rain?! Get in here before you catch something." he said pulling the stranger into the dry home.
Nesh Psion Spartan - March 31, 2007 06:17 AM (GMT)
Nesh felt sympathetical towards Rumasak upon hearing his story. Somebody again knocked on the front door and came in another stranger. Looks like your stranded house getting lively again...said Nesh as he nodded to the new stranger. I am Nesh Psion Spartan an elfish Psion and she is Cecelia...and he is the kind owner of this house, Mr Rumasak explained Nesh. You can continue your tale, rumasak, what happened to your daughter? maybe we can help and that is why we are perhaps destined to assemble here together tonight laughed Nesh...
Zeratul - March 31, 2007 08:33 PM (GMT)
Zeratul waited outside until someone opened the door and pulled him in. He didn't really look at whoever brought him in, but wanted to be nice and said, "Thank You, it is terrible out there-" He stopped his sentence when he looked at the somewhat odd assortment of people, clustered in the room he now was in as well. First his eyes came upon the Demon that let him into the house. He did not seem like the Demons that Zeratul had worked for in the past, he seemed more... Rightious.. An odd trait for a demon to have... he thought to himself. Next, he looked at someone who started talking to him.
He said that the first person he had seen's name was Rumasak, and that his name was Nesh Psion Spartan, some sort of elf. He had a sort of weird shade of blue-blonde hair, and indigo eyes, making him look sort of 'Mystical'. He was muscular also, which added to the appearance. He noticed some sort of katana, which probably meant he was like a warrior. "It is nice to meet you two." he said without even thinking. He usually was pretty quiet, and almost never polite, but he felt like making a good impression so they would not throw him back out into the rain. Then he remembered that Nesh said someone elses name, which directed his attention to a girl.
He was told her name was Cecelia, a name that Zeratul had never heard before. She also looked like an elf, and only about a foot taller then himself. This meant that she was probably younger, and she looked like it too. Her hair color was a dark black, and her eyes were green, which actually looked alright together. In Elvish standards, she probably was beautiful, but love did not appeal to Zeratul, and so he couldn't really make a judgement, because he also had not seen elves that often. His race were not the best of friends with the Elves, but they had some sort of peace treaty. Returning to reality, he noticed the posture of Nesh and Cecelia, and decided that Rumasak must have been telling them some sort of story. However, he did not want to interrupt them, although they were probably wondering what he was, because the Kolikk's were a very discrete race, and very few knew about them outside of the Naugrim and their strong allies.
Lord Naz Elendor - April 6, 2007 12:59 AM (GMT)
Elendor had been in the hopeless land of the dead for some time, seeking for his prophecy. He had not seen any sign of life for some days now.He had been stranded and wandering about aimlessly, not knowing where to find the prophecy. Some clues he had gained..from a stranger he unexpectedly met two nights back..he had claimed that what he was seeking can be found in a house..in a closet..not too far...before Elendor could say anything..or ask anything..he disappeared...leaving Elendor as clueless as previous. As he was walking across the marshes..he spotted something which caught his eye...a house..that means..he might find people in them..hopefully humans..who might help him.He walked to teh front door and knocked.
