Shayia - March 15, 2007 09:54 PM (GMT)
‘Killing……it seems to be all I’ve been doing during the last week.’ Shayia let out a deep sigh. Business had been booming and the gold had been flowing in it was absolutely brilliant, but Shayia cared not for money she was more interested as to why, why people had been hiring her, there were plenty of other assassins to choose from. Were people too afraid to deny her the job because of her recent decision to join the Dread legion, or perhaps people knew she would get the job done without delay. Whatever it was Shayia had become uneasy about taking the jobs, that’s why she was going to an interview or what she had called a causal meeting.

Shayia walked through the doors of Wilwarin Inn, downstairs the Pub was bustling with the chatter of men and women, thieves and drunks and of course somewhere in the middle of the crowd of people was the man she was here to see. The air was thick with cigar smoke. Shayia walked through the crowds of women, who were dressed in such a way that it left little to the imagination. Pushing her way through she came to a small table in one chair was a man with a black scarf covering his face and ending somewhere down at his torso, His brown doe skin boots were rested upon the small wooden table, he wore a light black leather jacket with leather gloves.

Shayia glanced over at him her face was emotionless, but yet soft. “Waiting for someone?” he called in a strong but hushed voice. A ghostly smile crossed her lips I wait for no one they are usually the one’s waiting for me, And what about you are you waiting on someone ?” She questioned walking slowly over the table and resting her slender fingers around the top of the chair, She was certain this was him. “Indeed I am ma’am, but if that person doesn’t show up soon, a beautiful woman like yourself is always welcome to sit beside me.” He said removing his feet from the table and kicking out the chair for her to sit on. For the first time since she had been in his view, he glanced up at her. ‘He’s not at all bad looking’ She thought as she pulled the chair into the table and sat down.

“Would you like a drink?” He asked leaning forward staring into her eyes with his Dark brown ones. Sorry but I don’t drink on the job.” She said smiling as she had now revealed she was who he was waiting for. “Damm!” he said looking at her up and down. “So you’re the Shayia I’ve heard so much about.” He raised an eyebrow and continued to smile over at her. Well it really depends on what you’ve heard.” She said with a smirk. He let out a gentle laugh and slouched back into his chair putting his legs back on the table and tipping down his wide brimmed hat.

Enough about me, What is it you want?” She asked , the tone of her voice was now much more serious as she waited to hear what he had to say.

Bane - March 16, 2007 04:02 AM (GMT)
(Mind if i jump in?)

Walking along the streets of Lómëdor. A slight breeze was blowing but Bane ignored it. Though it did make it a bit more chilly then it should have been. He had been planing on leaving the town once and for all but since it was getting so dark he decided to stay one more night. He wasn't sure if there would be a full moon out but after all the things that had already happened since coming to this land he found he didn't care anymore. He wasn't going to go around trying to hide the fact of what he was anymore. Doing that had been to much stress. True he wasn't going to go running around the streets shouting he was a werewolf, but he didn't care how many people knew anymore. He was finally going to give in to his feelings and newfound animal instincts. Glancing around the street he was standing in the middle of he found a small inn. Looking above the door the sign read Wilwarin Inn and Pub. Slowly walking over he opened the door and walked inside.

The inside was much nicer then the one he had stayed in last night. The last place had looked like a dump, perhaps he would be able to get more sleep here. It was a good thing that he had some money he just hoped that it was enough for a place like this. Not wanting to get a room so soon he looked for the stairs and walked down to the pub below. It seemed that even though it was getting late many were still up and about talking and drinking. Walking up to the counter he waited for the barkeep to come up to him, " Just give me whatever you got, it don't matter" A few minutes later he came back with a mug of some kind of warm brownish liquid. Turning around he bumped right into another passerby spilling what he had just gotten all over the floor and a little on himself. At that point he snapped. He was getting tired of all problems he had been having in this damn city. Grabbing the color of the mans shirt he pushed him as hard as he could sending him across a table spilling even more drinks and knocking the table over.

Walking over to the fallen man he looked down at him and kicked him in the gut, "Out of my way!" He shouted as he found a seat now without a drink. Sitting there he tried to think of what to do next while watching the people coming and going. At a first glance he had noticed a woman talking to another man, so he listened in on what they were talking about. All he could guess was that the woman was currently working, perhaps for the man she was talking to but he would have to continue listening to find out.

Shayia - March 16, 2007 10:47 AM (GMT)
( ^_^ sure go ahead )

“I need your assistance with the sorting out of something.” He said as he took a swig of brandy from one of the old, battered metal mugs. Damm and there I was thinking you brought me here to show me a good time.” She said sarcastically, The man gave a rather loud laugh, “That can still be arranged.” he said finishing off his drink and banging the mug down on the table. Shayia ignored his comment and continued on judging whether this man was a trustworthy client, he seemed harmless enough but it was never easy to read people in this type of business.

Shayia rolled her eyes So who Is he and where can I find him?” she asked, Shayia had thought this mission sounded strange enough there was just something not right about it, about him. “Well Ma’am I won’t lie to ya.” he paused, and Shayia raised a suspicious eyebrow. “It’s actually a woman and I don’t really want to kill her, unless she doesn’t come peacefully.” Shayia eyes narrowed slightly on the man in front of her. “You see that man standing upstairs by the banister he’s one of the many guards of Lomedor, we are arresting you for the murder of Forty-nine men and if you feel the need to run that guard up there will shoot an arrow through you so fast, you’ll be dead before you hit the ground.”

Leaning back in her chair all Shayia could do was laugh. “So you think you’ve finally caught me, I’ll admit you have planned this out very well, There’s just one thing wrong with it, Would you like to know what?.” She asked still laughing almost uncontrollably. The man nodded and still had the most friendliest smile across his lips. “And what would that be Shayia?” he asked getting out some rope, more than likely to tie up her hands with. You told me I’ve killed. What was it forty-nine men?. Well I’d hate to leave you with an uneven number to charge me with, let’s make it Fifty.” She said and stood up as fast as lightning.

A large knife shot down from the sleeve of her black V-neck top. She waved her hand forward and threw it. The man standing at the banister was just looking down the sight of his bow when a knife was lodged in his throat, he fell back against the wall almost as if he was one of the drunks and slid down until he was sitting , the people around her didn’t seem to take too much notice of her they were being entertained by a group, singing and playing instruments Now where were we?.” Shayia asked as she drew her katana with a smirk.

Bane - March 16, 2007 09:48 PM (GMT)
Sitting in his corner he continued to listen to the two talk. It wasn't like he had anything better to do anyway, he had no drink at the moment and he was really only waiting a few hours till he got a room. The more he listened to the two though the less he thought it was some type of job. And though he could here the two it was still quite hard to hear them over the noise of everyone else. Normally he would just leave it at that and ignore them but what he had herd was starting to get a bit more interesting and it wasn't like he had anything else to do. Bane slowly stood up and walked by them on the way to the counter. The counter was much closer to were the two were sitting so he would be able to here everything they were saying. Sitting down again he told the bar keep for another of whatever he had given him the first time. A few minutes later he had a drink again. He turned around in his seat to face away from the bar and took a sip of his drink. It smelled like crap but at least the taste was better.

Looking for the two he had been listening to he found them quickly and continued to listen. It seemed like he had missed the first part of what they had been talking about and came in half way through what the man had been saying, "...guards of Lomedor, we are arresting you for the murder of Forty-nine men and if you feel the need to run that guard up there will shoot an arrow through you so fast, you'll be dead before you hit the ground.”

Thinking about it he had a hard time believing that this...girl could have killed that many, but then perhaps she was more then that. He had thought of helping her for the fun of it but he stayed in his seat at the moment as she spoke, "So you think you've finally caught me, I'll admit you have planned this out very well, There's just one thing wrong with it, Would you like to know what?" After a few seconds the man spoke gain asking what she had meant. Bane continued listening wondering himself, " You told me I’ve killed. What was it forty-nine men?. Well I'd hate to leave you with an uneven number to charge me with, let’s make it Fifty"

Before he was able to even stand the woman was up on her feet and threw a large knife at the guard that the man had pointed out. He fell to the ground dead. Seeing this he didn't doubt that she had now killed fifty men. He doubted that she would need his help but he continued to watch to see if there would be a chance to jump in have cause some chaos for the fun of it.

Shayia - March 16, 2007 10:59 PM (GMT)
The man with the wide brimmed hat stood up immediately. Sit down and perhaps I’ll consider letting you live.” Shayia hissed. “You and I bought know that you can’t go on like this.” He replied, moving his hand to his sword hilt. Don’t even try to attack me Shayia said, surprisingly calmly, she leaned forward and cut his belt, his sword dropped to the cold wooden floor of the inn. Shayia held the tip of her katana under his chin. “So who are you really working for She asked pushing the tip gently into his neck, causing a small pinch. The man standing in front of her stayed silent, he only looked at her, his face drained of all colour.

“Answer me!!” Shayia shrieked, The man continued to stay completely silent, suddenly he looked up and towards the Inns entrance. “There she is shoot to kill” came another man’s voice from the doorway, there stood about three more guards , Archers at that. Shayia cursed under her breath, ‘How do I get out of this one’ she thought, looking around for an escape root or some form of cover from those blasted arrows. Then an idea hit her, she quickly turned over one of the small tables and took cover behind it, arrows shot throughout the air and many struck the table in front of her.

The people of the Pub had noticed by now that there was more than a random bar fight going on s they started to scatter around and ran for the exits. ‘This could be my chance for a quick escape, I’m not going to be able to defeat them now and I’m rather thirsty ’ She thought pulling the hood up on her cloak and sneaking out by the bar. Illusion She whispered silently and behind the table cam the top of what looked like her head. Another arrow was shot and they got their target, there was the sound of a thud and the guards ran down from the exit to the table. About two minutes passed and Shayia heard one of them say “Damm it’s a Trick”. Shayia let out a laugh and walked out towards the exit, she could feel the cold, night air hitting her skin as she got closer to the streets of lomedor.

Bane - March 16, 2007 11:53 PM (GMT)
As Bane watched the two continued to speak to each other only now the woman had a sword dawn. The man had tried to reach for a sword of his own but she had already had hers at his neck. Even though all this not many other people but him really noticed what was going on around them. Then he hared the man speak, a statement, "There she is shoot to kill!" Bane glanced at the stairs once more and found that there were now three more guards, all of them with bows. As they shot their arrows the woman brought the table she was sitting up to use as a shield. It worked and the arrows had hit the table but it seemed now that she was stuck. By now most of the crowd had noticed and began to panic and run around like crazy. Already Bane felt more at home among the chaos the guards had caused, he perfered the confusion more. Thinking this would be a good chance to have a little fun he stood up and walked to the stairs in which the guards were. Standing near them he looked back and saw the woman peer over the table and an arrow hit it's mark. Once of the guards had gone to check laving only two where he was.

Slowly walking up to the two as if to pass them they blocked his path. "You can't leave until our business is done." Bane wasn't about to let them get in his way. He was about to act when he heard the voice of the guard that had gone to check, "Damn it’s a Trick!" Turning back he came up with an idea. Focusing on himself he began to transform. Though his idea wasn't to go full blown werewolf, only his mouth and teeth had changed. His teeth grew into large fangs and his nose came out into a snout a little. He growled a bit and the man dropped there bows in fear. With both of his hands he grabbed the top of each of their heads and twisted. Both guards dropped to the ground dead before the third could do anything. With his fun done for the moment he let the transformation end and once again had a normal mouth. He then walked up to the entrance area was intents to get a room. As he stood at the counter trying to get the person their to lower the price he noticed out of the corner of his eye a clocked figure. A small glance he noticed it to be the woman, so she had gotten out of their after all

He thought about it for a moment and decided that his night would be a bit more interesting to continue to watch her. Wrapping himself in a cloak of his own he tailed the woman.

Shayia - March 18, 2007 06:19 PM (GMT)
The streets of Lomedor were exceptionally quiet apart from the few drunks that had managed to drag themselves out and leave the bar. If they had not been drinking so much alcohol Shayia would have cornered one of them and fed, that would have tided her over for the night, but drinking blood which contained so much alcohol was indeed a bad idea, although Shayia wasn’t sure what exactly would happen but she thought along the lines of her human side would possibly die of alcohol poisoning and since she was not a full vampire she would probably just end up dying completely.

A few minutes walking she had a strange feeling of being followed, ‘Would anyone be so foolish?.’ She thought walking on into the darkness. Shayia heard someone running towards her, the footsteps were too light to be an adult, it was a small child, she was crying saying she was lost, she ran straight towards Shayia and clung to one of her legs. Shayia never did like children but she would never kill a child. Shayia put her hands on the Childs shoulders and bent down to her lever. What’s your name?” Shayia asked softly. The girl looked up at Shayia and wiped a tear from her cheek, “It’s Katie” she said still trying to draw her breath.

Shayia nodded and lifted her up, Everything’s going to be fine.” Shayia said reassuringly. ‘This is all I need a crying child, how long I am I going to be stuck with her, It‘s not like I care but I‘m not the safest person to be around .’ Shayia thought letting out a deep sigh.Where do you live?” Shayia asked, propping the child up in her arms. “I live with a group of people, I live on the streets with them, they took me in when my parents died, When all the people came running from the Inn I got separated from them.” She said, teary eyed.

The sounds of footsteps coming from behind Shayia kept getting closer and closer. ‘Please be this kids Guardian or at least someone she knows.’ Shayia thought.

Bane - March 19, 2007 05:08 AM (GMT)
As Bane continued to follow the woman through the streets of Lomedor he noticed that the streets were not as empty as they would normally have this late at night. Though the side streets that had these people were mostly drunks from the bar in which he had just leaf. He doubted that there would be many people left in that inn expect for maybe more guards. And from the force they had shown there they seemed to really want to get here. Well at least they don't know who I am he thought as he saw the woman pause up in front of him.

Not wanting to be spotted he side stepped into a side alley but continued to pear from behind the wall. The woman was standing in the middle of the street, he she heard me he thought as he saw a much smaller figure further up ahead of the woman. Keeping his eye one it it turned out to be that of a child, a small girl that looked quite lost. It didn't matter, all he was interested in at the moment was the one in which he was following. If the girl got in the way of that goal he would be forced to kill her. The girl however instead of going on her way ran to the woman and clutched to her leg. As they spoke he learned that the childs name was Katie and she was in fact lost due to the chaos at the inn and bar. The woman seemed to be trying to comfort the small girl as he watched. His thoughts of her seemed to be two faced. Back in the inn it had seemed she would have killed anyone if the need would arise, but now she had changed. Now she seemed more compassionate, but was this some kind of mask. Either way he had grown tired of watching from the sidelines. It was time to confront the person and see what happened. Stepping out from the alley she walked up close to the two now in plain sight and took his cloak, he didn't want to hide what he looked like anyway.

Standing there he could tell by now that she knew of his presence but she had yet to act on it. Perhaps she thought i was just another drunk or someone who knew the small child, but it would turn out to be neither of these. "So are you going to kill her or not, hurry up already, after all you did in the inn I would not expect once such as you to hesitate. After all you have killed what, fifty men? Why not one more? He stated waiting for the woman to turn around.

Shayia - March 20, 2007 07:57 PM (GMT)
“What’s your name?” Katie asked Shayia, there was a childish tone to her voice as she seemed to forget she had become lost. Your better off not knowing.” Shayia said softly. The child had a tired look on her face as she lay her head on Shayia’s shoulder. ‘She can’t stay with me, it’s not safe’ She thought again, propping the child up in her arms once more. Shayia had never been good with children, she was bad when it came to talking to them but just as bad when it came to minding them. Shayia heard the footsteps come closer, she turned around, keeping her hood up as she did so, she heard a voice say.

"So are you going to kill her or not, hurry up already, after all you did in the inn I would not expect once such as you to hesitate. After all you have killed what, fifty men? Why not one more?

Shayia’s eyes narrowed as she glanced at the man from under her hood. She gently lowered the child to the ground, Katie looked up at her there was fear deep in her dark, brown eyes. Run and don’t look back.” She told the child and it ran for it’s life into the darkness of the alley. Shayia did not once look at the girl when she was talking but kept her eyes narrowed on the man in front of her. How dare you speak to me like that, have you any idea who you are talking to boy?.” She hissed. She called him boy because she knew her age out did his by many years or at least she thought it did.

Shayia may have had the appearance of a twenty-three old woman, but she had been experimented on many years ago and thus turned into the half-vampire, or Dhamphir as some liked to call it, that she was today. She couldn’t believe the insolence of this man, even though she had just met him he had already angered her, and that couldn’t have ended well as far as she was concerned. Shayia kept her hand close to the hilt of her katana at all times, she was unsure of this man’s power and she never underestimated him for a second.

She had grown up in a place where it was hard to judge people it was a sort of skill she had picked up through out the years. Shayia waited to see how this guy would react to what she had said.

Bane - March 20, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
Bane stood there as he listened to the woman speak with the girl. Soon after though she turned around to face him. She kept here hood up however, she seemed to be hiding something. She then told the small girl to run and not look back. He watched as he let the small child run off into one of the side alleys. His interest was in he woman in front of him not the child. Now able to see her face much more clearly he could see that she appeared to be in her twenties. At least that is what he thought, he new that there were ways to make yourself appear younger but he had never encountered anyone like that. He had also heard that elves looked much younger then they really were but she did not have the look of an elf about her.

As she stared at him Bane could see the fury in her eyes she seemed really angered. Well it was bound to happen sooner or later he tended to have that effect on people. As he waited for a response she spat back, "How dare you speak to me like that, have you any idea who you are talking to boy?.” Her words did not anger him much and to her he still would look as calm as ever. If only she knew what is was i doubt he would be calling me boy he thought. After a few seconds of waiting he spoke up once more. "No I don't know who I'm dealing with, then again you don't either, thats what makes this all the more interesting." As he finished he held his hand out and snapped his fingers. It seemed to echo through the streets as he did. A few minutes later from behind her a few rather loud growls could be heard. Soon after two wolves stepped out from two side alleys. There fur was a blood red and they seemed crazed. An as they advanced slowly they snapped at the air with their jaws. Snapping his fingers again the wolves stopped and stayed rooted to their spot. But it cold be easily be seen that the were ready to rip anything apart if given the chance.

"Chaos wolves, don't underestimate them for they grow in strength in the presence of other wolves and...werewolves." he stated, at the last word however a smile crossed his face. He wasn't sure if she would get the hint but even if she did he didn't expect the woman to scare easily.
