Taurai Woods, the most beautiful woods, one the most peaceful places in Arda, but also one of the most dangerous. Shayia sat under the shade of the trees, and felt gentle breeze against her skin, the sun had just set but there was still little light shining from behind the hills. Shayia was lucky she unlike many vampires could watch the sunset, and the sunrise. That made it even the more sadder that she could not enjoy it, for you see she was bent over with pain, she had been poisoned, it felt like an acid was burning away at her organs. Thankfully it was not fatal at least from her point of view, if it had been a human they would have been dead long ago, and the only reason it was paining Shayia so was because she was part human.
She clenched her arms around her waist and squinted from the pain she felt it getting worse and worse and thought of this being the end of her, she felt her mind go blank, her eyes get heavy, and she felt herself sliding down the trunk of the tree and hitting the ground.
While out cold Shayia dreamt about the past, she saw herself as a child. She approached this small girl with long black hair, playing by a river. Shayia knelt down beside her "Are you me?" she asked the girl. The girl turned to her and said nothing a few moments later she replied softly “I am and yet I am not, I am part of you” the little girl said a she continued playing with the water. “Part of me?” Shayia questioned her voice was an almost hushed whisper. The girl ignored her and continued playing with the water. “Where am I?” Shayia asked, looking around somehow the place seemed all too familiar. The small girl looked at her as if to say ‘you’ll see soon enough’.
Shayia look on puzzled as she could hear a voice echoing through the sky “Miss, Miss are you okay?” a mans voice called. Shayia opened her eyes and shot up from where she had been sleeping, strangely enough she was in a tent. “Where am I?” she asked him she was slightly furious that he had woken her, but unlike many people in her she had learned to hold back her emotions. The man was about thirty, quite handsome, and had a muscular build. “We found you in the woods unconscious” he said with a friendly smile. “We?” Shayia repeated as she could see nobody else. “Myself and my wife” he said, Shayia gave a small nod as she saw his wife approaching.
‘The pain it’s gone’ Shayia thought putting her hand over her stomach, had they done something to her?, or did it pass naturally?, to be honest Shayia didn’t really give a damm she was just happy it was gone. “I thank for what you’ve done, I’m sorry I cannot repay you” she said coldly. The couple looked at each other and smiled “It’s fine” they both said together their smiles were almost scary. Shayia raised an eyebrow, ‘what have they done to me?’ she thought. Suddenly Shayia turned her attention to the bushes, they weren’t alone.
