Title: Stalking
Description: open

Zander leapt from tree to tree, staying away from the thick mud that would only slow him down. He sat on the branch of one tree as he stalked his prey - a young woman travelling alone. He grinned and hung from the branch. He dropped down and kicked off from the main tree trunk. he flew through the air and landed in the mud not far behind the woman. He slowly stood up and placed his right hand on his head. He groaned as he stumbled around, before leaning against a tree. He looked up at the tree and gritted his teeth. He then looked at the woman and smiled. "Last time i try resting in one of those!" he said with a slight laugh. Hopefully she doesn't suspect anything...or this really won't work!

Though Zander was in the trees, Az was on the ground, getting down and dirty with the running through the mud. He sprinted through the mud, getting his back all dirty. Never bothered him, since it was better than getting it scratched in the trees though.
Most of the time, Az was oblivious when he was running around like a chicked with its head cut off, and he was oblivious this time around too. He dashed around trees, slid in the mud, swung off of branches from time to time. This time around though he dashed near a tree, leaped up and pushed up off it with his foot to another nearby tree a few feet off, gaining altitude. He bounced off of that one too, gaining feet until he was about 20 feet into the air.
The last tree he jumped off of was a doozy. He set foot upon it, pushed off in the right direction, but slipped so he didn't gain any air. He went straight, but not up. Gravity kicked in, and he soared to the ground, and oddly hit something soft. He had smacked right into Zander, both of them tumbling to the ground. He laid there a moment after they finished moving, looking at Zander. "I am so sorry." He said standing up and offering a hand to help him up. He had heard what Zander had said about resting in trees and replied to that saying, "You rest in trees, and I slip on them. Maybe we should stick to the ground eh?" He said with a chuckle and friendly smile and look in his pure black demon eyes. Ironic? Nah...

Zander grinned and nodded his head. "I guess that would be a safer option!" He said with a slight laugh. He looked at the new arrival and noticed his humane yet demonic appearance. His black hair seemed slightly demonic, such spikey hair was not normal to humans. His black eyes most definately showed that he was not pure human. He wasn't yet sure if he could trust this guy.
Holding out his left hand to the new man he said "I'm Jakk. I'm an adventurer." He had to lie, for now. So hypocritical...ah well, let's see if we can trust him...if not, fear shall strike his heart!
OOC: sorry about short post, can't think of much else to say =S

((No worries, and I can't see your avatar picture by the way.))
"It would be huh?" Az smiled and shook Jakk's hand. "I'm Az. I'm a wanderer." He said with a chuckle and a shrug. Az wasn't lying. He found nothing to be much afraid of of this guy, except was about two inches shorter than himself, was quite built, and had cool grayish blue hair. He didn't know what to make out of it, but looks have always been decieving for Az.
Az looked around, thinking he saw someone else, but didn't seem to see anyone. "Hey, weren't you talking to someone before I decided to rain in on your party?" He asked sarcastically, still looking around. His pure black eyes skimmed around, not knowing if he was looking the wrong way or if he was just freaking out.

Zander's eyes widened. "Yeah...i was...umm...where'd she go?" Zander also looked around. "Dammit! Now i'll never know how to get out of here..." Zander took a few steps in the direction the girl had been heading towards. He turned to face Az. "Say Az, you don't happen to know how to get out of this place and to the shrine do you?" Zander wasn't lying about the shrine. He was headed that way anyway but thought he could stop or a quick meal before. He now knew that was out the window, he liked Az, but he didn't know why.

Az cocked his head to the side to the mention of a shrine. He knew the way out, but he hadn't heard of a shrine. "Well, I know how to get out, but I don't know anything about a shrine." He said with a shrug. He felt a little guilty now knowing anything about a shrine, but how could he know? "If you want to get around just turn behind me and go straight and it should take you to Ondoland. Unless you're talking about the Sanctuary of Angels, then you'd pass that on the way. But I've been there." He was throwing out suggestions, not really knowing what Zander wanted. He didn't find much wrong with Zander, and didn't mind showing him around if he needed it.
Vaudeux Jupiter - February 25, 2007 06:47 PM (GMT)
A comfortable spot in between a knot and a collection of moss a cloaked figure sat, legs sprawled out and hanging loosely over a branch high up in the jungle. His travels had brought him to his spot as well as the need for rest. During the night various strange creatures had graced his presence so he had finally climbed to this high branch for safety. Now it was late afternoon and the sun was shinning brightly through the tops of the towering trees. But this wasn’t the source of his awakened state. He had been dreaming of being the captain of a wealthy ship giving a inspirational speech to his crew on the deck. It was a vibrant dream until one of the crew members began tickling his arms. Vaudeux Jupiter awoke to find that the tickling on his arms was present in reality.
Quickly he ripped off his cloak to find the smallest organisms in the forest running up and down arms. They were red ants, some carrying small forested leaves, and the rest using him like an extra branch highway. He shook his limbs violently to shake the ants away, but they were relentless and many stayed. Suddenly he grabbed his cloak and shot down the tree. On the lowest branch above the ground he landed and brushed the few ants, that were still climbing to his limbs, off. He quivered for a moment always hating the feel of bugs crawling over his skin. Once he was clean he threw his cloak over his shoulders and tied the string in a tight knot around his neck. Then he continued through the wood, stomach growling for breakfast.
A few minutes later he heard another rusting through the vegetation besides his own. He stopped and listened closely. They were frantic footfalls snapping twigs and ripping through large leaves, coming from behind. He turned to see the figure of a lone woman tearing through the forest in the opposite direction. She seemed frantic and in distress, but this didn’t matter to him. Maybe she has food. Jupiter thought with a grin and headed off after her. He tried to hit the dirt with his moccasins to muffle most of the leafage sounds so he would be able to sneak up on her. She was far enough ahead of him that he was merely feet behind her after huffing it through the foliage. After a few moments he burst through a door of leaves to find himself and the woman in a clearing.
The sun was heavy in the area, small plants and other greens thrived here which made it very muddy and slippery. Just as the woman was about to exit Jupiter thought quickly and bellowed,
“Stop!” She turned and tried to look at him, but her feet slipped out from under her and she fell face-first into the mud. Vaud smirked and ran to her side. By the time he got to her she was trying to stand, but was caked in mud. He crouched beside her and held her down with one palm, while beginning to dive into her cloak. Here he found a loaf of bread and a couple coins. Satisfied he left her and glanced around. If she was running so liberally she must have been running from something. Then he saw a couple of figures in the trees.
Swinging monkey-style from branch to branch. Jupiter ducked behind a tree to observe them for a moment. The woman was sobbing, but she managed to get up. Then she ran away, very muddy and very distressed. The pair stopped somewhere in the woods and he could hear a conversation beginning. From the sound of the pair they didn’t seem malicious, but he stayed hidden behind the large twisted trunk just in case. He listened for new sounds, ears sharp and eyes quick to see new movement around his visual area.
