Title: New Fighter Abilities Shop!
Lothlómendil - February 16, 2007 01:31 AM (GMT)
Woohoo, this shop has been in the works for ages and thanks to some suggestions from Ita and the awesomeness of World of Warcraft, it is finished! I'd like to introduce everyone to:
The Fighter Abilities Shop. For all you non-magic users out there, enjoy!
Alba Meria - February 16, 2007 01:37 AM (GMT)
wow 0_0 just wow. I am sooo bringing back William for this :w00t:
Annihilate - February 16, 2007 01:40 AM (GMT)
That's beautiful. I love it. I am going to have to make an all-melee character for those. :'(
Skorne - February 16, 2007 01:44 AM (GMT)
These are so awesome. I love it. :eyebrows:
Grégoire Del Istolla - February 16, 2007 01:52 AM (GMT)

Original Sin - February 16, 2007 01:54 AM (GMT)

*DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLS* I WANT I WANT!
Aloric - February 16, 2007 02:19 AM (GMT)

Arthano Vemerald - February 16, 2007 02:30 AM (GMT)
This is when it starts to suck to be new. :'(
Vaul Felinate - February 16, 2007 02:50 AM (GMT)
FINALLY!!! A shop for Vaul. Thank you Loth. Thank you!!!
Now I just need money to spend there.... hmmmm.... I hate being poor.
Sartana-kun - February 16, 2007 02:52 AM (GMT)
Bwahaha, Sartana's gonna finally start kicking some butt... Too bad I gotta fork over 400 gold to wield two weapons at once! :grr:
Tarn Va Thaeindor - February 16, 2007 03:10 AM (GMT)
I must say it was a terrific idea of yours to add the fighter abilities. They look really good. :) Can't say my character will use them but I can think of several that will. Good job Lothlómendil!
Dark Wraith - February 16, 2007 04:19 AM (GMT)
I have this sudden, uncontrolable urge to make an all-melee character....
 WOW! Great work Loth! Some of those are really awesome.
Sei - February 16, 2007 01:15 PM (GMT)
Rothardan - February 16, 2007 01:19 PM (GMT)
It's... so... beautiful...
I promised myself I wouldn't cry when this day came...
Sanzen - February 16, 2007 03:41 PM (GMT)
Nice job Loth! *starts selling spells*
Though a bit restrictive, it helps those non-magic users since the current trend seems to favor magic...
Dark Wraith - February 16, 2007 03:45 PM (GMT)
I think that's the idea Sanzen. Most melee pures get owned by heavy magic users, and this will help to even the odds and make for some more interesting battles.
Alba Meria - February 16, 2007 07:26 PM (GMT)
I might sell almost all of Albas spells for this :o
Raven Silverflame - February 17, 2007 02:33 AM (GMT)
...*eyes Shiro*
Great job, Loth! I like the idea of a shop for non-magic users. And here I was wondering what to do with Shiro Skye.
Kithara Darkmist - February 17, 2007 08:30 AM (GMT)
 Yay! That's great! Thanks so much Loth...I was beginning to get confused on what to do with my other characters. Hehehe...Finally! Weapon spells for Blaire!
Ploay - February 17, 2007 05:35 PM (GMT)
Goodness this makes me wanna make one of my alts more of a fighter not a magic user.
Sartana-kun - February 17, 2007 06:00 PM (GMT)
And it's a good idea to limit people to only five spells if they want to own fighter abilites! Really, good idea. ^_^ This'll make fighting more interesting, for sure.
Threnody - February 17, 2007 09:47 PM (GMT)
*begins shaking with excitement!*
HOLYHOLYHOLY CRAPMESS!! I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED!!
I THINK I MIGHT HAVE TO CRACK INTO THE SAVINGS!!
I know I will...
ZOMG!
YES!
GO LOTH! :w00t:
Berilac Foxburr - February 18, 2007 03:30 PM (GMT)
Wow, some of these are perfect for my character.
Dengar - February 18, 2007 03:55 PM (GMT)
I thought I'd already replied to this but I haven't
I think it's a great idea and it is really going to go a long way to help people fully customise their characters! Finally strength might have a chance to beat magic! :D
Lynk - February 19, 2007 12:29 AM (GMT)
This rp get's better an better
Akyho - February 19, 2007 01:57 PM (GMT)
errr i am not seeing the excitment some one is going to have spell some of it out to me. my chracter is basicly meele with some speacle moves that may require some magic to get what i want. but the selection for a pure fighter there is not what i would think could help match magic users.
i know i am not very experianced to these boards but i found myself stuck when i was rping with my freind zenith/alba there was the huge diffrence in power for characters mainly the spells at his disposal but the new fighter abilitys right now dosnt seem to be anywere close to matching majority of the spells.
i am just haveing a hard thought on a giant peice of the moon has been sent onto your character and a kick isnt going to do much to it yes run away but it starts getting difficult not to god play or start doing things out of the peramiters of whats allowed. such as gaint mile sized peaice of the moon is close to hitting cant runaway, you dont have anyway to divert it and if you ultimitly have to be hut by it there is nothing you can do to survive it.
am i takeing a too logical/realistic aporach to this?
can someone also explain why you are limited to five skills i understand that you already need certain skills/feats for most of them but even with an unlimited amount of skills i still think of as weak while any character can have an unlimited amount of spells that are only limited to the size of there purse or nice freinds.
another thing is most of these befor they were made were relativly free at doing such as duel weild and stealth i know that majority of these things make it all more guranteed makeing the other characters more obligated to not notice a stealth character but i am just finding it hard to understand the benifits.
it a good idea but better skills would make it more obviouse to me. is there plans to improve it more?
Dark Wraith - February 19, 2007 02:40 PM (GMT)
Note that you do not have to be absolutely 100% pure melee for these. You are still allowed to have any five spells at your disposal. You could have spells such as Dispell or Re-Direct in order to foil magic users, Teleport to make a quick espace, and maybe Superior Heal to help with those nasty wounds. Thus, you can still have some spells in order to protect yourself against magic users. This would put them at a dis-advantage, seeing as how they don't hae your special fighter abilities, and then you could have a fighting shot.
And besides, there is nothing that says that you need these. If you don't want them, just buy magic instead. :)
Akyho - February 19, 2007 03:32 PM (GMT)
wait you are only allowed five spells? thats new to me and i was checking around the site just now to findout anything that said it and i havnt noticed it.
I havnt heard anything about limit on spells and alba has over a hundred spells not saying he uses them all but i have just hut a point i am realy lost at.
Dark Wraith - February 19, 2007 04:11 PM (GMT)
No, no, no. You can only have five spells if you wish to purchase fighter abilites. Read the shop description. :/
Something Wild - February 19, 2007 07:43 PM (GMT)
*Dances with glee*
Finally! I've been hoping for something like this forever!

sorry there but your terminology was loseing me the spells in the fighter abilitys shop you are limited to five is what you are saying. but i am asking why should it be like that?
since the full magic spells not fighter ability spells you are allowed an unlimited amount to use. why are you limited to five fighter abililty spells?
Dark Wraith - February 19, 2007 08:36 PM (GMT)
*Sigh*
You are allowed as many fighter abilites as you can buy. In order to purchase them, you can only have 5 normal spells. Fighter abilites are more like the next step up from feats. They are innate abilities, not spells.
Akyho - February 19, 2007 09:23 PM (GMT)
ok now i understand you now see my misunderstanding still thinking there could be better fighter abilties for it to be worth while to me but now i understand the limitations on it all.
Dark Wraith - February 19, 2007 10:05 PM (GMT)
OK. :D
Glad I could help to clear that up for you.
Obsidian Nocturne - February 20, 2007 04:27 PM (GMT)
I think it would be nice though if you can upgrade your spell-capacity for a price... like taking electives in a different course.
Lothlómendil - February 20, 2007 04:31 PM (GMT)
That won't be happening. This shops is for non-magic users, and only allows 5 spells so that you can use a few anti-mage and healing spells to make things at least fair.
Obsidian Nocturne - February 20, 2007 04:52 PM (GMT)
hrmmm maybe the next shop upgrade could focus on a fighter's defense against magic... or something to toughen up his/her hide... after all, he's up against 60 shops of spells
Lothlómendil - February 20, 2007 04:56 PM (GMT)
There are only 14 spell shops, and then some deity spells :poke:
Anyhow, if you have suggestions for abilities go post them in the suggestions forum.
