Title: A helping hand...
Description: ~Open 2 everyone!!!~ =)

Lan - February 11, 2007 06:51 PM (GMT)
Lan walked around Lomendor square helping as many people as he could. He couldn't helped but feel a little overwelmed as merchants and other shops keepers would stop him and as the vampire boy for help. Lan was happy too and didnt mind helping others. It was just somethings were alittle overwelming at times. Carrying this many items to this part of town to this shop without being damaged, take this back to that other shop i dont need it, somethings he would have to deliver at a certain time and wasnt sure if he would make it. After about three hours of helping various people Lan decided to take a break. He could sense that he need one since his movement began to get more slow and sluggish even though he could not feel it.

Lan stopped and rested in an alleyway where there was hardly anyone there at all. There was a few people but none that really payed him any mind. Lan leaned on his heal staff and looked up toward the sky.
"Finally i get to rest." Lan breathed a sigh of relief. "Hope no one is looking for me. Im on break. Hehe."

Unless someone needs healing. I'm always ready for that.

Lan smiled and looked around the alleyway enjoying the business of Lomendor Square. He hadn't been here in the square before and it was a pretty nice place to be at.

Scarlet - February 11, 2007 07:29 PM (GMT)
The square was larger than Scarlet had first thought; there was certainly enough room for about three dozen market stalls that had been put up seemingly overnight. Standing just at the edge of the square, Scarlet could see them all getting ready for some kind of large market day, either that or they were tight on money and needed to make some extra. Either way it meant that the square was half crowded with people browsing at random or at least buying a few random items. Scarlet passed by a stall still setting up selling fruit, almost instantly she remembered she hadn't eaten in days.

However the owner took one look at her and turned away, pretending to busy himself with a few empty boxes. Scarlet sighed and walked on, she was bored out of her skull and it didn't help that people avoided her as soon as they saw her which was extremely annoying and unfair; it wasn't her fault that her parents had been a demon and a human. She decided she'd had enough and wandered off gazing occasionally at random stalls, she didn't actually have any money but there was nothing wrong with just looking, although by the looks of some people there was.

She stopped just outside an alleyway and leant against the wall sighing deeply, it was either her imagination or there was somebody else there, at the moment however she didn't really care, she'd almost had enough.

Lan - February 12, 2007 04:03 AM (GMT)
Lan looked up as soon as he heard footsteps coming his way. The vampire boy looked up and saw what looked to be a demon girl by her appearance.

I wander what she is doing here? Lan thought looking at her. He saw three scratches across her face and wander if she was in some sort of battle not to long ago. It couldnt be though since they looked as if they were somewhat of scars and didnt bleed. Still Lan wandered if she was hurt or not.

Lan approached her calmly hoping he wouldnt scare her. "Um hello." Lan said. "Not to be rude or anything but you look a little injured and was wandering if you were in need of healing? Im somewhat of a healer and maybe i could be of some asistance?" Lan smiled and streched out his left hand toward her. "My name is Lan."

Scarlet - February 12, 2007 10:03 AM (GMT)
"Huh?" Scarlet turned around and saw the person standing in the alleyway, it was no more than a teenage boy, a very tired looking teenage boy anyway. Scarlet remembered that he'd asked her a question, she smiled and shook her head.
"No thanks," she said "I'm fine."
She took a closer look at the boy, there appeared to be something vamparic about his features, mind you she couldn't really talk since she was half demon.

Absenlt her hand reached up to the three scars along her face, she couldn't really remember how she got them, but she did know that if they hadn't vanished now then they weren't going to for a long time. She turned back round and watched the crowd, but then remembered that, whoever this boy was, at least he was talking to her.
"My name's Scarlet," she said turned back to him.

Lan - February 12, 2007 09:52 PM (GMT)
"Hi Scarlet." Lan smiled. "Whatcha doing back here? Im here cause i need a break. Ive been helping people practically all day. Its kind of wearing me out a little. Oh well what can i say? I cant refuse if someone needs help."
Lan turned to looked down the alleyway making sure no one was coming for him. He was tried to hold off the need for blood for the longest time. He didnt like to drink blood unless he needed too. Lan didnt like to fight or kill either. It just wasnt his thing. He was a healer. The day seemed so peaceful for once. He didnt think it would last long though. Something somehow would always turn up.

Scarlet - February 12, 2007 10:02 PM (GMT)
Scarlet let a smile cross her face, it had been a long time since she'd been able to talk to anybody without them turning away in disgust, she was almost grateful for the company as long as he didn't try and bite her considering his appearence.
"Well to be honest I'm actually trying to get away from the crowds," she said failing to mention the reason why.
She looked back at Lan who appeared to be concerned about something, hopefully not her for once though.
"Is something wrong?" She asked slowly.

Briefly, she glanced down the practically empty alleyway where Lan was standing, there wasn't many other people there and most of them had either nodded off or weren't paying them any attention. Without wanting to appear too curius she turned back round and watched the people milling around, most people gave her an odd glance and then turned away quickley pretending not to notice her. Scarlet blinked and sighed again half hating, half pitying them for it.

Lan - February 12, 2007 10:27 PM (GMT)
"Is something wrong?"

"Nah. I just keep looking back to see if those merchants are looking for me. I was helping them after all. i bet by now they found some other person to help them. I just keep wandering if they need anymore help i doubt it though." Lan replied with a smile. "It seems so peaceful today. Usually something turns up and everything goes wrong. Well usually when Im around. You know cause Im a vampire. sigh...why do people have to judge me? Can't they see the heal staff im carrying? Or do they think Im wierd or something? Usually people shun me away...Im surprised I actually got to help people today." Lan stopped and looked at Scarlet. "Oh, sorry, Im just rambling on arent I? I think Im talking too much. I havent talked to anyone for a while. Hehe."

Scarlet - February 12, 2007 10:49 PM (GMT)
Scarlet shook her head briefly.
"Don't worry," she said "I'm just...Not to used to people talking to me."
Scarlet was a lot happier to listen to him 'ramble' on, from what she'd heard his own life seemed to almost be an exact represenation of hers, people shunning you because of what you are, and not who you are.
"I kinda get that feeling all the time," she said remembering her own background reluctantly "it's not like I'm not used to it or anything, but I like it when it doesn't happen so much."

Lan - February 13, 2007 04:06 AM (GMT)
"I know, but I guess Im a little used to it." Lan said leaning on his healing staff. "Most people think Im weak cause Im a healer. I dont care though. I like to help people. Its not like I was born a vampire you know." Lan paused for a moment and then continued to speak. What he was about to say was alittle hard for him. "I was bitten by one...thats all i know. I dont know who my parents are. I have no clue is to who the person is who did this to me....I dont even remember who i was before when i was human. In other words when that vampire bit me...I lost all my memory. I wish i knew what happened before then...so now I just roam Arda in search of anwsers and maybe...try to find out who did this to me. Maybe someday I can find out what happened to my parents."

Lan had always wandered what happened before when he was human. He wandered if his parents were even looking for him. He didnt know. Lan didnt think he would ever find out anything about his past. He thought he had gotten over that a long time ago. Even now it still pained him to even try to think of his parents. Lan wished he had some anwsers. He knew that the chance of finding anything out was very slim. Arda was a big world. Lan then remember the guild he was in. Brotherhood of the Shunned. At least there he felt like he was accepted.

Scarlet - February 13, 2007 11:37 AM (GMT)
Scarlet listened to Lan's story calmly, it sounded like the ones you found in fairy tales only a slightly bit more greusmone than usual. She'd gussed he was a vampire but she didn't know he'd lost his memories, suddenly his situation sounded a whole lot worse than hers. For the moment she couldn't really think of anything to say, she just stood there rubbing her shoulder absent mindidly.
"I see," she muttered quietly.
For a second she didn't really know what was worse, having no memory of your parents, or having a memory but knowing what they were.

Lan - February 13, 2007 08:27 PM (GMT)
"Have a said to much?" Lan asked seeing Scarlet remain silent. "Have I upset you?"

Lan didnt know what to say after that. She remained quiet and he thought maybe he said something wrong. The last thing Lan needed was more enemies. She really didnt talk that much and that kind of made Lan uncomfortable. He wanted to say more but he could think of nothing else to say. Maybe something would turn up like it usually did when he was around.

Scarlet - February 13, 2007 11:06 PM (GMT)
Scarlet noticed a touch of concern in Lan's voice, she found it a bit ironic that the only person here to show any posotive attitudes towards her would be a vampire, but her didn't seem the ruthless, murdering sort.
"No, I'm fine." She reassured him "I was just thinking, I don't talk to people much so I slip in and out of conversations like that."
She cast around for a change of subject, trying not to mention her own pastlife since she hated reliving it.
"So, you're a healer right?" She said after a while "what kind of thinngs do you heal?"

Lan - February 14, 2007 01:10 AM (GMT)
"Well I heal scratches and stuff like that." Lan said lifting his heal staff up so he was holding it in both hands. "You know cuts, scrapes, and bruises. The simple stuff. I want to learn a better healing technique. Preferbly one that heals big gaping axes wounds. But you have to learn these things one step at a time. I heal anyone who is hurt and animals if they are hurt too. I dont like to see things suffer. Good or bad...its not good to suffer..." Lan said. "I can also give my friends alittle power in battle. I have this spell called Bless that I can use to power friends up." Lan's tone of voice then turned serious. "I also have the greatest spell that I know. Its called Noble Sacrifice. I am reduced to within an inch of death and every one is healed. I think it revives fallen allies....but Im not sure. Hehehe." Lan then asked, "What do you do? If you dont mind me asking."

Scarlet - February 14, 2007 12:06 PM (GMT)
Scarlet listened, enjoying the fact that she had somebody to talk to, but Lan's last question threw her off slightly, and since she didn't do anything at all then she was unsure of how to answer.
"Well, I," she began, but was unsure of how to finish "I don't really do anything, I just wander around from place to place trying to find something to do,"
Oh yeah, very detailed she thought to herself stop trying to make a sap story out of your life, it could have been worse

She stopped thinking to herself and turned back to Lan.
"I guess I'm looking for my mother," she explained "or at least to fins out who she was."

Lan - February 14, 2007 11:48 PM (GMT)
"Wandering around sounds like fun." Lan smiled. "I do that alot too. Mostly I get lost cause i forget where I am and I dont have a map to look at. Hehehe." He put his staff down and leaned on it. "I hope you find out who your mother is. I wish I even had a clue to who mine was...everytime I try to remember.......its like...something is blocking me from remembering."

Lan stood there and tried to remember who his mother was. Everytime he tried to remember he would get nothing. Nothing at all. He didnt like what that other vampire had done to him...but he didnt hate him. Lan could never hate anyone. Or at least so he thought. Lan just forgave the vampire and tried to move on with his life. Hating someone just spawns more hate and gets you know where in life. It was better just to forgive and forget.

Whatever that other vampire did to me... Lan thought looking at his heal staff. He did it good.

Scarlet - February 15, 2007 09:17 AM (GMT)
"Thankyou," Scarlet replied softly "and I hope you can remember yours too."
She paused and gazed up at the sky trying to think of something else to talk about besides each other and their pasts, Scarlet couldn't help the habit of making hers seem like a sad story found in a very old story book that nobody ever read anymore, and she wasn't even old enough to remember the start.

"So now what?" Scarlet asked "you wanna get something to eat?"

Lan - February 15, 2007 08:07 PM (GMT)
"I would eat...but Im a vampire. I dont drink human blood...just the blood of dead animals. I can last a pretty long time without some blood...but i still need it nevertheless." Lan replied. "However I'll be more than happy to accompany you." He added with a smile. "im not sure if there are any real good places around here...but Im sure we can find some place....hmmm..." Lan thought for a moment trying to remember all the places he had been at earlier.

I was at merchant shops...did i pass any places to eat earlier? Lan thought. Ah...i dont think so...or at least I dont remember...maybe if we walk down the other end of this alley we will find some place.

"I dont really remember any places to eat down there...but Im sure we can find some place if we head down to the other end of this alley." Lan said. He started to walk toward the other end of the alley at a slow pace. "Coming, Scarlet?" Lan asked waiting for her to catch up.

Scarlet - February 16, 2007 11:46 AM (GMT)
"Yeah, I'm coming," Scarlet replied shakily "it's just I was...Well I, never mind."
She followed Lan into the alleyway, hesitating slightly, and followed closely behind him. Maybe it was because he was a vampire, or something else, but the alleyway gave her the creeps for some reason. But, on the other hand, at least she was actually going to get something to eat for a change.

For a moment she thought to herself about how this day had turned out; it had started like any other day and she had been virtually pushed about everywhere, but then she found a vampire who healed people in a similar situation, maybe it was just coincidence, but she found it seemingly impossible to get her head round it.
At least he's nice, she thought unlike most people.
Then she felt like something was following them, she stopped and turned around, but there was nothing but an empty alleyway.
"Wierd," she muttered "I could have sworn I..." She suddenly remembered she was following Lan and turned back around. "Oh, sorry," she said.

Lan - February 18, 2007 11:42 PM (GMT)
"Thats alright." Lan smiled and continued to lead Scarlet down the alleyway.

Lan looked behind them and saw nothing thinking maybe she noticed somethng. He turned around and began to walk down the alleyway causiously. Scarlet was walking closely behind him as he walked and he knew something was wrong.

"Scarlet? Is something wrong? You seem a little nervous." Lan asked just to make sure. "If anything happens I can try to protect you. So no need to worry."

No one was really down this particular alley. Just a few people passed them by and they didnt even pay the two any mind. He didnt really think they were in any danger at all but you never know. Finally Lan spotted a place to eat just down at the end of the alley.

I found a place! I hope this is good enough...and no one in there notices Im a vampire... Lan thought.

"Hey Scarlet I found us a place." He smiled at he stopped at the porch of the building. "Is this a fine place to eat?"

Scarlet - February 20, 2007 04:41 PM (GMT)
"Don't worry," Scarlet replied "I'm fine."
Although she was having trouble convincing herself of it. She decided just to ignore it, if there was somebody following them there wasn't anywhere to hide in a narrow alleyway. It was probably onen of the other people lounging around out of the sun. However Scarlet was so deeply engrosed in thought that she nearly bumped into Lan, she woke up soon enough to stop it though and looked up at the place he'd found.

It looked okay, and there weren't many people around.
"Well, yeah, I guess," she replied, begginning to cheer up "this'll do fine."
