Title: Returning
Description: open to all

Malisaro - February 10, 2007 04:46 PM (GMT)
The place had changed, that was certain, there were a lot more people moving through the city, more decorated buildings, new places, people, everything. Malisaro, on the other hand, hadn't changed a bit, he was still the same drow, covering most of his face aside from his eyes, and with numerous scars visible on his body, the worst of which were covered by his clothing and mask. He didn't know why he'd come back, he had wanted to get away and never return so that he'd never be able to ruin anybodies life again, but fate has an odd way of twisting your motives and as a result he found himself back here, Lómëdor.

He looked around, places that seemed familiar to him seemed to have lost all their life and didn't want to be there, he suddenly regretted coming back as he wandered along the street through the small crowds of people milling in random areas. He was being followed and he knew it, there were telltale signs of somebody trying to keep out of sight behind him, which was impossible when Malisro could see everything around him just by closing his eyes and concentrating hard. He heard hurried footsteps draw near thinking, or rather hoping, that he hadn't seen them, a hand reached out and was instantly grabbed by a steel gauntlet on the end of Malisaro's own hand, he looked down at the pick-pocket.
"Yes?" He said "did you want something?"

The pickpocket stammered for a few minutes then wrenched his arm free and ran off. Malisaro watched him go with dark set eyes.
"Coward," he muttered.
He carried on, not really sure where he was going, but not caring either. He just wanted somewhere to stop and think about his life, and what he could do to repair the considerable amount of damage he'd done to it already.

"Ay ay ay..." moaned Na'ari. The city had not been working out for her. Finding work in this place was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Gor the past two days, the assasin had been searching through the city, trying to find possible employment, but no one seemed to need her. She, a woman of the forest, felt cramped in the city, and was just about ready to leave. The crowds annoyed her, and she was dangerously close to her breaking point. Yet, Na'ari couln't continue to travel until she had some money in her pouch, and a steady employment.

Wandering around the crowded city, Na'ari really felt like picking a fight with someone. Why? She had no good reason, just an extreme feeling of being very pissed off. At whom? Na'ari didn't really know. Perhaps she wasn't going to find work here, but she had to keep trying.

Groaning in frustration, the tall half-dragon tried to blend into the crowd and listen to people's conversation. Perhaps she might find work that way. It was no use. Her unusual hair colour and her looming height brought her notice everywhere she went. Na'ari let out a stream of invectives so colourful that many people around her winced and shied away from her. "What?" She demanded loudly. "Stop staring at me!"

Then, she noticed something intriguing. A tall male, who's very manner screamed "Money!" Na'ari started toward him, praying that he didn't notice her sudden interest, or examining glare. "Excuse me, sir." She said coldly, but professionally. "I am currently looking to be employed by one such as yourself. are you in need of a sell-sword?"
OOC:oops...I somehow managed to post twice....sorry bout that

Malisaro - February 15, 2007 04:47 PM (GMT)
Malisaro stopped outside an old tattered building with a cracked sign and the door hanging off its hinges, he'd visited here almost a year ago with the same intentions of getting away from society, but had only found somebody else to befriend, and as a consiquence that person seemed to have vanished from his life like a fire going out.
What's wrong with me? He thought grimacing why can't I just leave people alone
He took one last look at the broken down inn, with a vain hope of seeing his friend again and walked off through the crowded streets again and finally came to a rest against a wall and clentched both fists.

He seemed lost in his own thoughts for a while until somebody screaming loudly made him look up, whoever it was had seemed extremely annoyed by something since everyone seemed to be staring at her. Malisaro turned his face away, it had nothing to do with him. A moment later however he found the tall stranger standing right nenxt to him.
"Excuse me, sir." She said "I am currently looking to be employed by one such as yourself. are you in need of a sell-sword?"

"Huh?" Malisaro didn't bother to hide his surprise, he looked about at the Atani wondering if she had been talking to him or somebody else.
"Sorry," he replied eventually "but I'm not the sort to hire people, I don't even have enough money to pay them."
Typical, he thought more disapointment, no wonder I left.

((Hey, anybody can make a mistake))

Letting out another stream of curses under her breath, Na'ari smiled apologetically at the stranger. "I'll work for food at this point." she said, unhappily. "No one ever seems to be in need of a sell sword anymore." The tall Atani grimaced. "A lot of people seem to think that I'd be better off doing needlepoint." she murmered sarcastically. Na'ari clenched and unclenched her fists, knuckles alternatly turning white and red.

For a moment, she lost herself, remembering a sweeter time. Work had been plentiful then, and Na'ari had been busy. She enjoyed her line of work, as twisted as that sounded. For it was challenging and interesting.
Remembering herself, Na'ari snapped out of her reverie. "Any chance you're looknig for something, someone, or a partner?" She asked hopefully. "I'm getting lazy and bored." She complained.

Appraising the man, she wondered why he looked so well-off, if he didn't have enough money even to pay her. It confused her, but she didn't feel like prying. "I'm Na'ari, by the way." She said, offering her calloused hand.
OOC:bad post....sorry to the max!

Malisaro - February 15, 2007 08:23 PM (GMT)
"Malisaro," he replied hesitantly taking the hand and making sure his gauntlet was firmly on and not about to slip off "I'm afriad however that I usually work alone, although I have a habit of tagging along with some people, but I guess I could use some friendly company."
He let his arm fall by his side and stood back a bit to allow Na'ari a bit of room, but also so he could take a closer look at her. It was clear why she had been complaining about people staring at her, she wasn't your typical everyday sort of person, and the fact she wanted to be hired by someone highlighted the fact even more.

"I take it you're tyring to earn some money to travel?" Malisaro said, otherwise she probably wouldn't have asked him.

((No worries, mines even worse, bad writers block))
