Night fell upon Lake Aelin as Lan gazed at the darkness of the water. He leaned on his staff while sitting on a rock near the waters edge. This night seemed peaceful so far but who knew how long that would last. Something would always turn up. Right now he didnt feel like he was very excepted in Arda... Not many people trusted him since he was a vampire. But he did have a few friends who he was glad to have known.

While thinking he thought he heard something behind him but he paid it no mind. Although Lan hoped it wasnt an enemy. He loathed fighting even though he was a vampire. He'd rather help others instead of fight them. However, life survives at the cost of another...so somethings just cant be helped.

I wander if anyone wants to join our guild? Lan wondered while sitting there. Well if someone comes up maybe i should ask.

Arthur loeved the night it was the one time he could be in his transformed state and not be bothered by people. He flew in his wings spread out and landed a few yards away from the Lake and walked up and noticed someone else there he noticed right away it was a Vampire and Arthur smiled his Dragons snout showing of his sharp teeth. He thought," Vampire I wonder if he is here for a hunt or just a walk in the night". He didn't approach but walked a few feet away and stood by the lake the moonlight reflecting of his scales.

Lan definately heard something behind him. He thought he had heard something land on the ground and turned to his left. Lan saw something shimmer on the other side of the lake.

Whatever it is....I hope it doenst eat me.... Lan thought looking across the lake unsure of what he was seeing.

Lan decided to see if the being was harmful or not. "Hello? Is someone out there?" Lan called in a friendly voice. "Anyone? Hello?"

Lan hoped it was nothing dangerous and it didnt think it was. He would already be attacked by now if it was.

Arthur heard the voice and his dragons vocie rasped an answer," Nope its just you and us night watchers". He smield at his witful answer and walked up about 5 feet away from the person his teeth glaring a smile. He then said." You on the hunt for blood or do you just like the night life". HE awaited the mans answer.

"Ah." Lan said turning to look behind him. He saw a gaint dragon stand before him. "I just like the night life. Not that many people out at night. Not that many people to bother you about being different...." Lan sighed. "...Im tired of people judging me just because Im a vampire who heals people."

Lan didnt know if the dragon knew how he felt or not. It didnt really matter. Lan wandered what he was doing here.

"So What brings you here, sir?" Lan asked with a smile looking at the clear water of the lake.

Arthur smiled and said," Oh just enjoying the moonlight its rare that I get to transform anymore Im Half-Dragon you see and often get ignored by people even if I do save lives and hunt down the evil of my kind". He looked him up and down and said," You seem like a nice enough fellow I rarely meet a nice Vampire for they are a rare breed".
He laughed and said," Iam supriesed though that you are not on the hunt if Iam not mistaken Vampires need blood to survive". He then hit himslef with his tail and said," Sorry about that I need to shut my mouth while Iam ahead soemtimes forgive my rudeness".

"Ah thats alright." Lan laughed too. "You are right though, vampires do need blood to survive." He then added in a serious tone. "I do try not to kill....unless I absolutely have too. I just drink blood from already dead animals. I dont drink human blood...and i never will. I just dont think its right." He turned to look at him. "I wasnt born a vampire...I was....bitten by one. That bite...obliterated my memory of me ever being human. I have no idea who my parents are, or even if they are alive or even if they are looking for me."

Arthur sadly said," A sad thing to lose ones memory and to not know where your parents are truly saddining I myself have not seen my parents going on 6 years now". He sighed and said," Iam sorry for you and also Iam sorry for bothering your solitude". He was about to turn away when he said," I hope you find what your looking for may the gods bless your ventures".

"Thats alright." Lan told Arthur. "I may never find what I am looking for but as long as I help people...then I will be fine. Your not bothering me. Im enjoying someone to talk too. Its not fun to be all alone all the time." He saw the dragon turn and start to walk away. "Where are you going? Do you mind if I come with you?"

Arthur turned and said," Sure I was just going to take a walk". He sighed then let go of his Dragon form and Transfomred back to his human form.He stood before him his white t shirt on and his Pants and his Dragon Emblem shone in the light. He looked at the boy and said," Hmmm you looked much smaller in Dragon form". He laughed at his wit and said," Well if your coming with me come on I don't mind". He laughed a little more and started to whistle.

Glancing up to the sky Elros could see the full moon above quite clear. Even to this day he couldn't help but look up at it. Continueing on his way he came upon a body of water. Looking around he realized that it must have been Lake Aelin. He hadn't been aware how far he had wondered off. He doughted who he was looking for would be out here in the open and he didn't have mcuh chance of finding them in the dark. Looking around once again he found a spot along the edge of the water that looked like a good place to set up a camp. Though he liked being out at night he still needed to get some rest. Comming to the camp site he noticed that it was srounding by threee or four medium sized boulders. This would help block out some of the light from the campfire that he was going to start. BUt the first thing he would need is wood for the fire and to did a small ditch so he wouldn't set the area a fire. Leaving the camp site he began to walk away from the lake to a grouping of trees. He was bound to find some fallen branches that he could use for the fire. As he startee to gather them however he thought he heard voices. Stoping and listening he was glade his hightened elven sences from his fathers side were so useful. He heard two voices, both male, but ohter then that he had no idea who there were. Not wanting to be caught of guard he reached for his bow on his back and strung an arrow but held the bow pointing doen. He didn't want to seem to hostile. Keeping his back to a tree he glanced from behind it to see two figueres heading torward where his camp was. Elros continued to watch to see weather or not thay were any threat.

Arthur walked along and saw a fire uphead and instantely his hand went to his sword hilt but he did not draw he did not know if the fire was friendly or dangerous.
He said to the boy behind him," BE prepared for anything this could mean trouble". HE walked up to the camp and saw a man no not a man a Half-Elf his bow drawn and Arthur knowing that elves were very skilled with bows said," Drop your bow young sir we mean know harm and thats the Dragons Truth". He then said," Sir may I ask that we grace your humble fire and in return I shall perfomr for you".
He then awaited an answer.

As they walked Lan saw a campire unsure if it was the present of a good warrior or just something malicious. Lan had no desire to fight being a healer an all. He sighed and held up his healing staff incase something dangerous would show up.
They walked alittle further and Lan saw a half-elf pointing his bow in there direction. He wandered if he was good or not and set his staff to his side.

"We dont mean any harm." Lan told the half-elf. "We're just walking out here at night." Lan heard Arthur say something about performing. Lan smiled thinking back to seeing the half dragon perform in Lomendor. "Arthur is a great performer. You should let him it will be fun. By the way my name is Lan, its nice to meet you." Lan added in a friendly tone.

As he watched he heard them speak to him. "Drop your bow young sir we mean know harm and thats the Dragons Truth" He had not expected to be seen so quickly. Thinking about what to do he realized that this person might be some kind of dragon hybrid. He had heard of them before but never had the chance to see one in person. As he thought about that howevr the seconed spoke, "We dont mean any harm, We're just walking out here at night" Believeing that he was not in danger he unstrung his arrow and placed it back into his quiver but still held his bow in his left hand. As he steped out form behind the tree he heard the seconed continue to speak, "By the way my name is Lan, its nice to meet you."

Walking up to them and his encampment he placed the small branches on the fire that he had started. Then turning to the two of them he pressed two of his fingers to his lips and afterward spoke, "Atra esterni ono thelduin" Then after ward he spoke in a more common toung. "My name is Elros of Ondolond, I would be pleased to have your company." he said gestering to his to is camp. Elros then sat on a large log by the fire and tossed a few more branches on the fire. THen waited to see how they would respond.

Arthur recognized the Elvish gesture and knowing what little elvish he did and knowing that Elves even half-elves could ubderstand DragosnTOngue replied in Draconic," Peace Live in your HEart and May the stars watch over you". HE then spoke once more in Dragosn Tongue," My Friend has already stated my Name but Iam Arthur Pendragon, but among the Dragons Iam Dar'Vaeg the Son of Nar'Vaeg Lord of The Skies". HE then said in regular tongue," THank you for allowing us into your camp".

Sitting theree on the log the frist to speak aftere him was the half dragon Arthur. BUt when he spoke he spoke in what he only guessed was his own Draconic. As he continued to speak he wondereed what he was saying. But he did manage to catch the last part which he had spoken on the common tongue, "Thank you for allowing us into your camp" Takeing one of the longere branches he used it to rearange some of the logs allready in the fire. When he was done he simply continued to play with the branch while in the fire. Then looking up he spoke again, "That was Draconic right, though i know of it I have lived long with humans and hadn't learned to understand it before my father left, so what brings you to this lake?' he asked. As he sat there he looked at the seconed person. He seemed a bit strange, a bit off somehow. Placeing it the back of his mind he left well enough alone, they both seemed friendly and he didn't feel any darker presence comming from him. Sitting there he waited for either one of them to respond.

"Ive never heard any one speak in a dragon language before. Of course Ive never met anyone who speaks a different language. Its cool that you both know a different language. i wish i could know one." Lan smiled. "I was just out here enjoying the peacefulness of the night. Its a good place to get away from people who judge you just because your a vampire healer..." Lan stopped for a moment unsure of how the elf would take him being a vampire. "I am a good vampire though. Ive heard that elves dispise the undead....is that true?" Lan asked.

Lan had never met an elf before. He had heard the elves hated the undead and he was alittle nervous to what the elf would do since he told him he was a vampire.

I wasnt always this way.........why cant I remember?........

Sitting there looking over the two he looked away. He had still been playing with the fire but now he had gotten bored with that as he tossed the stick into the fire as well. At least the fire was helping to keep the clod away. Looking up into the sky above he saw the stars quite well. It was hard to believe just how many there were. Were he came from you couldn't see so many due to the mountains blocking out much of the sky. He wasn't yet used to not having the mountains around him. Everything seemed so open. As he sat there living in his own thoughts he had almost not heard as the smaller of the two to join him spoke,

He thought about it for a second. He did believe that the elves despised the undead he wasn't sure. He himself had no problem with undead, expect for the mindless ones of course they only knew to attack whatever they saw. No longer wanting to just sit there speechless he spoke up, "A vampire healer...an odd mix but a welcome one. I'm not sure as to the views of the elves, I'm only half myself and was raised by my human mother, my father left before I got to know him too well. And as to languages I know three. I can speak Adûnaic, Sindarin, and a bit of Khuzdûl."

Arthur listened and said," I am sorry for assuming you know Draconic for all the Elves and Half_Elves I have meet were able to understand it and the only way I know it is by my father who can speak Elvish and Draconci quite fluently". HE then said," I was here at the lake because well it was night and I like to Transform at night away from people being a half-dragon and all people tend to shun me as if I don't exist". HE smield a little at that and then said,"I myself don't find a Vampire Healer strange I myslef am a Dragon SLayer and that is strange".

((Dragon Slayer...Then this topic might be the last time they speak as friends. After another topic ends i'll have a plasma dragon Hatchling, and i'll be a dragon rider :lol: You probable expcted that allready though.))

As he finished thinking Elros took the time to think about what he ahd just said before responding. If he is a dragon slayer he might hate himself for being half of which he hunts. But then again he did say he liked to transform so he most likely didn't hate the fact that he was a half dragon. It did make sence however that he would be out at night. He did know that many people disliked most half dragons. He was going to speak but he knew not what to say. He had no questions at the moment and they had allready said their reasons for being out in the night. Since he could think of nothing to say he deised to not speak at the moment. He wouldn't wast to risk saying something foolish. Perhaps one of them would speak again. he thought as he sat their watching the stars.

(No they can still be friends he only slays evil dragons out of a vengence its in my history if you wanat read it, he doesn't slay young dragons or good ones)

Arthur sighed and said," THough my profession is strange as some people tend to think I hate myself but I do not, I only hunt dragons that do evil acts Iam talkign Dark Dragons like that of Old Smaug, Old Draken, and Neflin of Dark Knight Lore". HE smield and laughed a little and said," Of the 200 evil dragons that are alive in this world only 120 remain to be killed the rest are good and after all 200 are dead I go home to regain what was lost to my family a sword and a Kingdom". HE smiled at this and said," So may I ask what you are doing in the forest".

It turned out that he had been correct. He needn't have to speak again as he heard Arthur speak to him again, "Though my profession is strange as some people tend to think I hate myself but I do not, I only hunt dragons that do evil acts I am talkign Dark Dragons like that of Old Smaug, Old Draken, and Neflin of Dark Knight Lore". There was a pause then he continued speaking," Of the 200 evil dragons that are alive in this world only 120 remain to be killed the rest are good and after all 200 are dead I go home to regain what was lost to my family a sword and a Kingdom". He smiled at this and said," So may I ask what you are doing in the forest".

Thinking about what he had said, much of it had made sice expect the nmber of evil dragons. Just like good dragons evil ones would continue to reproduce and expand. He never thought there would be an end to the evil onea as there would most likely be no end to the good ones. An endless struggle between light, dark, and the gray somewhere inbetween. As he finished thinking he also realized that he had asked him a question as well.

"I'm just passing though, i've been looking for my father and friends for a long time now and just trying to find my place in the world." It was a short answer but he felt he had explained it well enough. Then turning to the vampire, "So you were a healer before a vampire, which is why your still one as a vampire?" he asked.
