Firstly, I'd like to say welcome to the shiny new admin polling forum. :D As you may have read in the forum description, this is a place for the admins to start topics and polls asking what you like about certain features, we want to know what you do and don't like so we can improve them and make the board more enjoyable for everyone. :)

So, I have a question. I had another poll the other day about the links in the quick navigation box and a lot of issues were raised with the box. Some people (like myself) love it, and others hate it. I will say that I find it so handy that I won't be getting rid of it, but I want to know how to make it better for those not pleased with it.

One thing that I head a lot was that people wanted it to auto-hide instead of having to click it to make it hide. So I had my Stefan tinker with it! :D You can look at my test board (it looks just like Arda, don't get confused!) and fiddle with the new auto-hiding. I want to know if you guys like this better than the current one or if you don't have a preference. Basically, is this a good improvement to make for those that weren't happy with the box before? Discuss! :D

Are you sure you read the question right? :unsure: It sounds like you're answering the question "should I get rid of the box" or something. You can't have gotten used to the auto-hide on the test board after 30 seconds! :lol: Just want to make sure I'm understanding my feedback. :)

Other had a strong lead briefly there, I was proud.

But frankly I don't think I've ever used the thing, oddly enough. Only now am I taking a good look at it an- Hey! It doesn't go away after you call it u- Ah... Click it again.

Alright, frankly I think it could very well have its merits, but I'd rather it hover right in the middle of the screen, over the stuff I'm typing. ^_^

I do like the demo version better. Less to fiddle with. It would be nice, however, if maybe it was on a different part of the screen? I dunno where, persay, but that side just seems really out of the way to me. If I wanted to use it for forum hopping I'd want it on the right. *Shrugs* Pretty out there feedback, but its feedback.

For the first month or so that I was on Arda, I would always accidentally hover over the Quick Navigation box and then it would just stick there. I wanted it to go away so badly! Then I found out all I had to do was click it again. A month later.

I don't want other people to suffer the way I have suffered. Sure, most people are probable more intelligent than me, but that's besides the point. An Auto hide feature has absolutely no drawbacks and many positives. I happen to love the Quick Navigation box now, but it still pops up when I don't need it, if I have hovered over it. I'm all for the Auto Hide feature!

Well, since everyone agrees that the auto-hide is superior, out with the old and in with the new! The Quick Navigation box is now "upgraded."
