Title: A Cry
Description: Only Raven Silverflame and Myself

Seth - January 29, 2007 12:39 AM (GMT)
It was the Darkest of nights. The Screams were never ending. They were horrible screeching sounds! Millions at a time. The sound were the highest of pitch noises creating the sense that your about to explode. Everything starts moving around and you have no control over anything that happens. It's worse than fear. He was being held down to the ground by many. He couldn't get away because it was so over powering. It started raining and you could hear him scream but so slight over the sound of everyone else. Tears coming out his eyes without stop but invisible with the rain falling on his face. He struggles to get free but can't. The great strength that was holding him down was unmatchable and made even the strongest seem weak. He struggles more and more and moves fast screaming for help and crying. The things holding him down were as shadows, just dark figures keeping him down. And then.... Everything became as simple as it was, the dark figures became as people, the screams just as insults, and he got his strength back but they were still over powering. Those were the people that through his life didn't accept him. His greatest fears added all into one.

Just like that Seth Woke up to see that he was in a dark corner where no one was at in the moment. He didn't even remember getting there in the first place. He just knows he was there. His eyes with tears from the Nightmares, he listed hit hand to his face and cleared it of the tears. His left arm was covered in blood when he looked. There was a whole spill on the ground and on his cloths. He looked around as being as lost as he was. By logic the reason for him being where no one else was to get away from all the people that hate him which was everyone to ever come in contact with him or just see him. But he still didn't know how he ended up in his exactl location. Last thing he remembered was running from a man in a black cloak with white eyes. After that was the dream and now this.

"Where am I" were his first words from waking up. His head was still stpinning and he felt kind of dizzy. His arm still bleeding but somehow not feeling any weaker than usual. He coughed once an right before put his hand in front of his mouth. As soon as he looked at his hand there was blood from his cough on it.
He started looking around to see if he could even recognize the place he was at. It was the corner of a side walk with a street light shining on him. There was no one to be seen, no one to be heard. It was the most deserted place he could possibly imagine. It was the darkest of all nights he had seen and the most silent. Hit heard started hurting in a very strong way and everything started spinning faster and faster. It was a feeling smiler to the one in the dream. His hand started shaking and he started feeling great pain all over. Seth then started screaming as laud as he could. He was losing his breath. He didn't know what was wrong.

Raven Silverflame - January 29, 2007 02:03 AM (GMT)
Lomedor at night was not the safest place to be. Beatings occurred regularly, and more than a few people were robbed of their belongings, courtesy of the regular group of thugs that roamed the streets.

Raven Silverflame walked through the streets of Lomedor, keeping an eye out for any troublemakers. She was hardly an imposing sight, and seemed at first glance like an easy target for any of Lomedor’s scum to try their luck. However, tonight, they seemed to be kept at bay. Perhaps it was the white wolf that walked by her side, always watching and always making it known he would deal with anyone who attempted to attack his mistress.

Raven placed a hand on Aegis’s head, silently thanking the white wolf as she continued to walk through the streets. She had had to be around Lomedor more often, ever since joining the Syndicate of Blades, whose headquarters were conveniently located in the city she disliked the most.

She glanced around her, catching sight of the numerous low-lives skulking around in the shadows, watching her as she passed. Raven slid her bow off her shoulder, ready to shoot should there be trouble.

Suddenly, Aegis sniffed the air, before running off through the streets.

“Aegis!” called Raven, sharply, running after the wolf. The white wolf ignored her, which was a strange thing, since usually a call from Raven would stop the white wolf from attacking even his worst enemy. This alarmed the shapeshifter, and she ran faster, trying to catch up with the wolf.

A scream tore through the air, making the shapeshifter run even faster. The scream chilled her blood, and she shivered slightly as another scream tore through the air. She followed Aegis into a dark alleyway. A man lay on the ground in a corner, bleeding heavily from a wound in his arm. It was he who was screaming.

Raven glanced at the wound in alarm. With that wound, she wasn’t sure how long he would last. The shapeshifter bent down, casting Greater Heal on the wound. The wound closed up before her eyes.

“Are you okay?” asked Raven, turning to the man.

Seth - January 29, 2007 02:57 AM (GMT)
Seth scrambled all over the ground shaking in great pain and screaming his lungs out. Every scream was Lauder than the next and he hurt more with every passing second. Everything before his eyes got darker then back to normal then darker than before as he flashed in and out of life. He couldn't stop screaming even if he wanted too, the pain was to great for him to handle. He was exploding in all his pain. His eyes catching up with the tears of pain that were starting to come out once again. He was blind to anything and everything that existed. Nothing would matter other than to lose the pain which he had no control over to do.

While in a struggle with his pain, moving and shaking all over the ground, Seth got a glimpse of something white in a flash. Something that seemed to be a dog. But to Seth it was just something else at the moment. He saw it with the flash of a second and with his site blurred up he couldn't make it out exactly. He couldn't keep his mind on one thing. His arm started bleeding more with every passing second that went by his painful existence at the moment. The only thing that was sure was more pain, tears, and screams from his part. He couldn't o anything at all. But then he saw what looked like a person running in his direction in another flash of a second. He tried to scream out a help but it didn't come out. He couldn't see the person anymore, he wasn't sure if the person was still there. Everything looked as a big blur while spinning endlessly. He was sure this was his moment of death and he wouldn't even know the reason to it. But he would only want the pain away. Death would be a blessing at this point.

But everything just went quiet, he couldn't scream anymore. His pain was gone. His eyes closed for the time being. He had time to catch his breath. He was guessing his death had come for him. Seth opened his eyes to see that he was right where he started with the great pain. He was looking to the side while laying on the ground. He turned his head up to see what looked like a woman. She was just standing there. As if she had part in the taking of his pain. The ground under him covered with blood, Seth put his hands on the ground plain in the blood to push himself off anf get up. As he did so the woman asked him a question. Seth looked deep in her eyes with a sign of respect. "I am" He said with a rusted voice because of all the screaming he was just done with. "Did you do this? Did you take my wound?" He asked the lady as he finished getting up from the ground. The blood dripping off his cloths and off of his arm and hands. He stared awaiting her answer.

Raven Silverflame - January 29, 2007 03:16 AM (GMT)
Raven watched as the man tried to push himself off the ground. The ground itself was slick with blood. She wondered how much blood he had already lost. How did he manage to get himself into that condition in the first place. It was a good thing that she managed to get here in time. If she had not arrived when she did, this man might have been dead. She glanced at Aegis. It was the white wolf who had smelled the blood, leading her into the alley. The shapeshifter made a mental note to give Aegis something special to eat tonight.

Raven drew her hands back, glancing at her clothes. Her Ranger’s Cloak and her clothes were stained with blood. Only now did she realize that in order to reach him, she had had to kneel in the pool of blood.

Oh well… she thought, It’s not like I haven’t been covered in worse…

Raven turned her eyes back to him as he spoke. He had managed to pull himself into a sitting position, which she knew must have caused him a lot of effort. His voice was hoarse, probably from all the screaming that he had done. Aegis sniffed at the man curiously. Raven shot him a glance, and the white wolf backed off. The man got to his feet. Raven placed her hands on the ground, pushing herself up as well. The shapeshifter frowned as she saw that he was covered in blood. Once again, she wondered how much blood he had lost.

"Did you do this? Did you take my wound?” he asked, his voice rough from all the screaming that he had done.

Raven wiped her hands on her Ranger’s Cloak, taking the blood off them. She turned to him.

“Take your wound?” asked Raven, “I healed it, if that’s what you mean.”

Seth - January 29, 2007 03:42 AM (GMT)
Seth scoped the woman as he got up. It wasn't easy for him to get up being it that he had no energy left. He looked around and then at the woman again. He gave a small bow after seeing she was such a beauty. "Yes, forgive me. That is what I meant. Sorry for taking your time, May I ask you two questions?" He asked as he finished with the bow and saw the wolf standing there. He looked at it and questioned the purpose of having such a beat by side to such a beauty. Wasn't something seen everyday. "Correction, May I ask you three questions?" he once again asked her as he looked back at her. He looked deep in her eyes and then cut the focus.

Before she had time to answer he responded to his own questions like if she already did answer. "Who are you?, Where are we? and what exactly is that thing?" He said as a response to what she did not answer but he took as if she did. He was still very confused about everything at the moment without knowing where he got his wound or how that woman ever healed it. But those questions were not for the moment.

He looked around and then walked at the wolf it being the "thing" he was referring to. It was white coated and pretty big. "Interesting" He walked around it with joy and slowly making a smirk. He turned back to the woman now behind her and looked at her once again scoping her. Looking up and down at her figure too perfect for any. He kept walking around till he ended right in front of her. "We should leave this area before someone come and we get acused for killing a being or something of the sort. With all the blood it might give the wrong impression" He started walking away with hopes she would fallow.

Raven Silverflame - January 30, 2007 10:27 AM (GMT)
Raven frowned, feeling the man’s eyes on her. She wasn’t really comfortable in these situations, and the fact that it happened to be late at night only made her feel more ill at ease. Her years of traveling had taught Raven caution, and had also taught her never to let her guard down. The shapeshifter held tightly onto the Mystic Bow in her hand, feeling the smooth wood of the weapon underneath her fingertips. It reassured her somewhat, as she knew that she was far from defenseless. She reminded herself that she could always shapeshift.

She turned her eyes back to the man as he began to speak.

"Yes, forgive me. That is what I ment. Sorry for taking your time, May I ask you two questions?"

The shapeshifter watched as his eyes drifted to Aegis. She noted the questioning look in his eyes. Aegis glared sharply at him, walking over to Raven’s side. The man turned back to her.

"Correction, May I ask you three questions?”

Raven opened her mouth, about to respond to his question when he cut her off. She closed her mouth, frowning as she listened to his questions. If he had not expected an answer, why had he bothered to ask?

"Who are you? Where are we? And what exactly is that thing?" asked the man.

Aegis growled. The wolf did not like being referred to as a thing. Raven placed her hand on his head, quieting him. She glanced at the man as he began to circle her. This was now beginning to feel extremely uncomfortable. For a moment, Raven wondered if she should have stayed to make sure that he was okay.

“My name is Raven Silverflame,” said Raven, in answer to his questions. Her voice was calm, with a slightly cold edge to it. “I am a traveler. I occasionally pass through the city of Lomedor to rest. We are now in an alley in Lomedor. My guess is that you were probably attacked by some of the, well, rougher crowd out here. And this thing, as you so call it, is a white wolf. He is my familiar, and he goes by the name of Aegis.”

That was all that Raven dared share about herself. The fact that she was a shapeshifter, and also a member of the Neutrals in the Syndicate of Blades, would not need to be revealed to this man.

"We should leave this area before someone come and we get accused for killing a being or something of the sort. With all the blood it might give the wrong impression,” said the man.

Raven frowned, looking down at the blood. It was on her clothes and her hands. If someone were to walk down the streets right now, there was no doubt that they might think that the two had done something wrong. Still, she wasn’t really worried about that. She still had the option to shapeshift.

“I doubt that that is going to happen,” said Raven, “Very few guards patrol this side of town, and the crowd that usually hangs out around here would attack us even if we weren’t covered in blood.”

Seth - January 30, 2007 09:08 PM (GMT)
Seth stopped walking and looked back at the woman that didn't start walking behind him. He then looked around to see if anyone was close to sight or any place had lights on, but they were in a very dead part of Lomedor at the moment and he really had no idea. "I'm not even sure how I ended up in this City? Last thing I remember I was running from that man in the black cloak. I think it's safe to say you know this place better than I do" He kept looking around and still couldn't spot one bit of life other than The Lady, The Wolf and Himself. "For the bad place you make it sound seems kind of empty. Either way, I am Seth. I don't know how I got here and don't care to be here any longer but I seem to be lost enough as it is. So in regard to that, may I have your assistance in leaving this place and making it back to the Misty Forest? First I would like to see the sites here none the less. A new place to be is always a better place to be."

Seth once again turned his eyes to the wolf. "Raven and Aegis, interesting names you have there. The Name of the Black Beauty of a bird for the Beautiful lady. And a completely new name for the Wolf. May I ask where the idea for Aegis comes from?" He spoke to Raven ending with a question after the comment. Seth was getting a liking to the woman in the very little time he has spoken to her. More of a beauty with a beast type Linking. The combination of one that is for one that isn't. "I will be leaving now but hope you could accompany me" He turned around and this time was walking to no end. He wasn't gonna stop if she didn't fallow. He needed to find the man that was trying to kill him to start with and the way to find him was to get back to the Forest. He wasn't in much of a rush, more of a get out of where you are right now situation. He would want to see everything n the morning so that he could get knowledge of one more place he doesn't know. Seth liked to travel around a lot to see anything he could. But he was on a mission before ending so far away. It would come strange to be in the deepest of the Forest one minute and the next to be in the deepest of... a city.

With that on his mind now He was just gonna go till he found somewhere to stay for the night and from there he would go in the morning to take a look at where he was to then leave and finish what he started. "Is this city big" He asked as he kept walking getting farther from the woman. He walked while looking up. Looking at the sky that was pitch black. He thought to himself " It's nothing but impossible to end up at such a distance. I remember walking for days into the Misty Forest. How could I all of a sudden come up here? It makes no sense. But for everything there is a reasonable explanation, only a matter of time before I figure it out for this situation. Till then I guess I'm stuck with this woman. She's cute though. I guess I can deal with that." He kept thinking in complete silence to all but himself. He was always the guy to be drooling over the girls he saw. This time there was work involved so he couldn't get his whole mind on her alone but He did have thought of the strange lady that he had just met. And it would just be up to her and only her if they were to keep going together till he got out of Lomedor and back into the Forest or if he would have to find his own way across the lands he doesn't know.

Raven Silverflame - January 31, 2007 11:58 AM (GMT)
Raven watched as the man stepped forward, walking out of the alley. He seemed to have recovered from his ordeal, which meant that he wouldn’t be dying any time soon. The shapeshifter remained where she was, content to let this man leave. As she watched, however, he stopped, turning around to face her.

"I'm not even sure how I ended up in this City? Last thing I remember I was running from that man in the black cloak. I think it's safe to say you know this place better than I do"

Raven nodded at his words, knowing where this was going. It was true that she knew Lomedor well, not as much as some of the other places she had been to, but well enough. She stood there, waiting to hear his next words.

"For the bad place you make it sound seems kind of empty. Either way, I am Seth. I don't know how I got here and don't care to be here any longer but I seem to be lost enough as it is. So in regard to that, may I have your assistance in leaving this place and making it back to the Misty Forest? First I would like to see the sites here nonetheless. A new place to be is always a better place to be.”

Raven frowned slightly at Seth’s words. While the alley was empty, that didn’t mean that there weren’t groups of thugs and several other lowlives wandering about the streets. She listened as he continued to talk.

"Raven and Aegis, interesting names you have there. The Name of the Black Beauty of a bird for the Beautiful lady. And a completely new name for the Wolf. May I ask where the idea for Aegis comes from? I will be leaving now but hope you could accompany me."

“You want to go to the Misty Forest?” asked Raven, “I don’t see why you’d want to go there, but if that’s what you want…Very well, I’ll assist you. But I don’t plan on sticking around while you go sightseeing. I have things to do in Lomedor as well.”

Her frown deepened as she considered his next question. In truth, that had been Aegis’s name. She had heard it from him when she transformed into wolf form. However, telling him that would involve her telling him that she was a shapeshifter—a fact she rarely shared with people she had just met, especially those she had met on the streets at night.

“It’s always been his name,” she said, with a small shrug.

The man continued to walk away. Raven followed wordlessly, keeping a tight hold on her bow. As they walked out into the street, people began watching them from the shadows. Aegis growled at them as they passed.

"Is this city big?” asked Seth.

“This city is the largest city in Ea,” said Raven, “Too large, for my tastes.”

Raven had always preferred the freedom of nature to the enclosed spaces inside a city. The archer was a follower of the Goddess of Nature, and she had grown up in a small village, making her naturally uncomfortable around crowds. Several years of traveling had only heightened this uneasiness. She had learned from experience that things tended to happen in crowded areas.

((OOC: In Greek mythology, Aegis is the shield of Athena given to her by her father Zeus. I didn't put this in the post because there's no Greek mythology in Arda. ^__^))

Seth - February 1, 2007 01:55 AM (GMT)
As he walked he saw that more people were in the area as they went. Not knowing if it was deeper or farther out from Lomedor Seth just kept going To see the every thing would get brighter with more people outside and more lights on around the streets and in homes. Seth wouldn't say a word after all he had said already. e was going to remain silent till Raven come up with something to say or just walk with the quiet night. As Seth walked he had thoughts of everything that had happened and everything that will happen. He saw himself again in pain while screaming to the most he could and thought of how it would be possible to end up at such a distance. Something happened in the Forest that he doesn't know. It was something big. His arm had a straight but from top to bottom and he lost a massive amount of blood. He shouldn't have the strength to be standing. In fact, the size of that was in place for him to be dead with all the blood he lost. Nothing was making sense. And what about the man in the cloak. What ever happened to him. These were all thoughts going through Seth's mind while walking. He needed to find out what happened. The Good thing was that he got out of that for the time being and now has time to get ready for when he goes back. He could get everything needed to face the man once again. He need to get his hands on the journal that he has. It gives too much information about that mans family and what happened to the family. The great power kept within it was something for one and only one person to have and Seth wanted it. Only with knowledge that whatever it was it's of great knowledge to great power.

Seth Tried to take his mind away from all that to think up a plan of what he might need to beat someone both stronger and faster. One thing Seth has on his side would be his mind greater than both. He had no idea what to get or what he would need. At the time his mind wasn't in too much of a thinking place but that seemed to be all he could get himself to do. He tried his basic method for leaving a thought he didn't want. That would be Ladies, pretty, nicely formed bodied, beautiful girl, ladies and woman of all kinds. Anything walking with a pretty face would be something to catch his attention. He thought of his new "friend". He could think of how beautiful her face was. Her body in perfect shape, how nice and thin she is. Her voice so beautiful she could write songs. Just the site of her could be what made Seth get the energy to be up and running at the moment. Looking into her beautiful Grey shade eyes. She was no less than an angel of beauty and no more than a Goddess of perfection. Thinking of all this already made him feel better and got his mind of the thoughts of the Misty Forest. Maybe the site seeing would help even more but in this dark that wouldn't be possible. The only thing good at this time would be to find a place to stay the night, that would keep them safe until day if the place is as bad as it was said to be. And then in day light find a way to the better part of Lomedor. Nothing looked as if it was going right to that point so the rest would give time for well planing, the site seeing would be enough relaxation, and he would be able to think everything through with detail later and come up with a logical explanation for everything that happened and a good plan for everything that should happen next.

"Do you know if there is anywhere that we can spend the night till light when we can use the light to our advantage to find a way to the safer part of this city? That would be great, I could use the rest. I need to get my thoughts in place and that won't be happening all on it's own." He asked Raven as he walked on. Maybe she knew Lomedor enough to know the perfect spot to go to. Anywhere indoors would do for Seth to make it into a safe place. Maybe a place where she could stay as well so they could take time to talk, and maybe even a place for the Wolf. They could get to know each other better. Seth would love that . The Day could come as they talk, they would get enough rest by not moving around. Maybe just sitting. From that point on moving on to get a view of the city, and then they could be on their way to the Forest. He would want to know why Raven would be in the dark, corrupt side of Lomedor. That would be no place for such a lady. Even if she has a Wolf with her, there is the strong but there is always someone stronger. She could get hurt at anytime. Or at least Seth thought as much of her. He could just see her as any other female, just much more beautiful than most. He would even want to try another shot at finding out where a person comes up with a name like the woman gave the Wolf. "Always was" doesn't work for Seth. He likes to know things and anything interesting is something he greatly wants knowledge over. That would be a great example. What could get a person into choosing such a name for an animal. How does a person come to meet an animal as such in the first place. Simple questions but that would give Seth a better understanding over the Wolf and the Beautiful woman that walked with is.

Raven Silverflame - February 2, 2007 10:45 AM (GMT)
Raven continued to walk through the streets. The shapeshifter walked slightly behind Seth, keeping her eyes on her surroundings. She called to mind the various spells she knew as she continued to walk. The streets were darkened, and no lights shone in any of the houses. She wondered dimly how late it was—probably late at night or early in the morning. The streets were silent, except for the sound of her footsteps and the murmured talk of some of the men.

She frowned slightly, listening to the sound of her footsteps on the paved streets. This was another reason why she hated cities. The Boots of Elvenkind that she wore drowned out all noise in the forest, allowing her to walk or even run without being heard. In the city, however…

Her thoughts were cut short as Seth began to speak.

"Do you know if there is anywhere that we can spend the night till light when we can use the light to our advantage to find a way to the safer part of this city? That would be great, I could use the rest. I need to get my thoughts in place and that won't be happening all on it's own.”

A place to stay? Raven thought for a moment. The Wilwarin Inn would be the obvious choice, but it was far across the city. Ordinarily, Raven would have shapeshifted into another form and flown, but she couldn’t exactly leave Seth behind.

The shapeshifter turned her head, glancing at the tall building that stood out among the other, smaller houses. The Headquarters of the Syndicate of Blades was located right in the middle of Lomedor. While she had no doubt that she could spend the night there, being a member of the Syndicate, she wasn’t sure if Seth would be welcome there.

She turned to him.

“There’s an inn on the other side of the city,” she said, “It’s called Wilwarin Inn. By the time we get there, however, it will be morning. In this side of the city…there’s not much. Most of the places here are hide-outs of thieves.”

Seth - February 3, 2007 05:14 AM (GMT)
Seth thought to himself about what he could do or choose to do but if they were gonna make it by morning they could just as well stay there and take the night on a corner or sidewalk anywhere. It would make no sense to go so far till morning when they would have to be up and active all over again. Unless she had time.
"Are you in much of a hurry or do you think we could waste the day for rest after it becomes light so we could go to this place you speak of and use the next day for the sites. Or will you be leaving too soon?" He asked her as the kept walking along the night in the deep dark Lomedor.

He stopped walking until Raven was right next to him. "Go ahead, you lead the way." He gave her the right to lead them to where ever it was she was going to take him first. If she was gonna walk till morning to save the day for rest or find some where sooner that they could stay at. It was all up to her and he was just gonna go with whatever she had in mind. So he now put the next few days in her hands and he had not one clue of what she was going to do. It could have been both a good idea or a bad one. But as Seth likes to say "It's only gonna be in the past later so we should only look forward. Leave the present to random acts" His thoughts had much understanding to many people of greater age as they would always know what he meant by it.

Now it was just Seth, Raven to lead and Aegis. "Does the Wolf get a say in anything? And if he does I would love to know how that works" He said with a sarcastic tone. He put his hands right behind his head with his elbows up and walked right behind Raven as she led the way to where ever.

Raven Silverflame - February 3, 2007 11:20 AM (GMT)
Raven and Aegis continued to walk, following Seth down the darkened street. She frowned, glancing around. Several of the men had begun walking, closing in on them. They leaned nonchalantly against the walls, murmuring to each other in low voices. She knew this strategy, having seen it before many times. They would surround a target before moving in to attack, catching the target off-guard. Her mind raced as she tried to think of a way to warn Seth without appearing to be too conspicuous.

The shapeshifter looked up as Seth began to speak. She glanced around her, noticing several of the men beginning to move into more alert positions.

"Are you in much of a hurry or do you think we could waste the day for rest after it becomes light so we could go to this place you speak of and use the next day for the sites. Or will you be leaving too soon?" asked Seth.

“As I’ve told you, I have business in Lomedor,” said Raven, “However, whether or not we are in a hurry depends on how urgent it is for you to get to the Misty Forest.”

As the shapeshifter talked, her senses were on the alert. She stiffened, hearing a stone roll down the street, moved out of place by a foot, no doubt. Her sensitive ears picked up the steady rhythm of footsteps as more of the men decided to come out into the open. She wondered how long it would be until they found the courage to attack.

Raven caught up to Seth as the other stopped walking. The shapeshifter opened her mouth, prepared to warn him about the impending danger, when he cut her off.

"Go ahead, you lead the way,” he said.

Raven frowned. Lead the way to where? It wasn’t like there was anywhere safe nearby. As she thought of something to say, Seth spoke up again.

"Does the Wolf get a say in anything? And if he does I would love to know how that works" he asked.

Never you mind, thought Raven in slight annoyance, although she didn’t voice her thoughts out loud. She glanced at the men surrounding them before looking forward. She opened her mouth to speak, but she didn’t turn her head towards Seth, nor did she make any gesture that showed that she was speaking.

“Don’t look up and don’t make any sudden movements,” she muttered, calmly and coolly, “We’re being watched.”

Seth - February 3, 2007 08:32 PM (GMT)
Seth smiled at what Raven told him. He got an idea of what she said it for. "Don't mind those guys, I think if it's on their count we will be fine" He said with a nice big smile on his face as if he had know for a while that they were being fallowed. He really couldn't have less of a clue till Raven said that. He was too distracted thinking to notice anything going on. But right after she said that he opened his senses and put a great amount of attention into those guys. There were two to their left, one to their right, and some where between for or five behind them. He wasn't looking for anything in front of them because it would be the easiest ones to take down if they were to attack.

Seth didn't mind the men in reality. Which is why he wouldn't care how laud he was talking in complete difference to Raven which did it so the men would not notice. "Are you going to do anything about those guys?" He asked Raven in a calm and still tone of voice. He thought that if the men were to attack maybe she could help herself to them. After all she did heal his wound some how. So she could just as well have some other abilities that might come of use. "The Wolf there could do a little damage don't you think?" He kept talking in the same tone so that the men would know they are talking but not know about what. Seth kept walking along not changing his same pattern, keeping every thing the same as the thugs left for less attraction to the thugs.

He asked himself if the thugs around this area would always act like that and just wait it out for something to happen to attack. Or if they would ever just wait in a little alley before going out in the perfect moment for attack. Their strategy at the moment was something that a kid was mostly in place to do. It was too amature for a thug to do. Ever Seth new better strategies to not get caught while in an act. Maybe they were just bad even at being thugs. But it could be part of something bigger. Seth kept thinking about the situation like if it was something too great to deal with with some paranoid thoughts. "Any ideas" He once again asked. He was waiting to see if they would just keep going or stay and fight.

Raven Silverflame - February 4, 2007 06:12 AM (GMT)
Raven watched as Seth looked around, no doubt taking count of the men. The shapeshifter stood at the ready, senses alert as she waited for the first strike. Waiting was always the worst part of every battle. It was when her doubts and her insecurities began to come out. It was when her mind began asking ‘what if’ a lot. She put the thoughts to the back of her mind, focusing on what was going on around her.

She listened as Seth began to talk, moving slightly back so that she could aim better if they decided to attack. She didn’t want to accidentally hit Seth with an arrow.

"Are you going to do anything about those guys?" asked Seth, "The Wolf there could do a little damage don't you think?"

Raven couldn’t help a small smirk as Seth talked about dealing damage. He underestimated her, just as those men underestimated her. They all thought that Aegis was around to protect her because she couldn’t protect herself. She reached a hand up to her quiver, pulling out an arrow and fitting it to her bow as she glanced at the nearest man. The man had drawn a sword, and was currently taking a few steps towards them.

The shapeshifter watched his advance calmly, eyes level. She had fought worse things than common street thugs.

“Any ideas?” asked Seth.

“Yeah,” said Raven, as the man began running towards them, sword prepared for a strike. “Move.”

She loosed the arrow, watching as it hit the man and he fell to the ground. She held out her hand, whispering the words to the spell as another man advanced on her from behind. A whip of fire appeared in the shapeshifter’s hand. Raven whipped around, using the whip of fire to deflect the other man’s blade.

Seth - February 4, 2007 07:49 AM (GMT)
Seth looked and watched as Raven was fighting those men and she was doing a pretty good job protecting herself. She could even cast fire. Some thing Seth had no clue about. Seth watched a Raven took one down and was going to use a flaming whip on another. He didn't bother to move even an inch to help her. He just watched every single thing happening. The thugs for some reason didn't even come after Seth. Since Raven was the only one fighting it seems like they went to help each other an forgot about Seth that had dropped his guard for watching Raven in action. He could have jumped in to help her at any time but chose not too. When it got out of her hands if it did he would do some thing. But he could get hurt doing some thing. She seemed fine so he wasn't gonna take the chance of anything happening.

One of the thugs didn't go to help as the rest so he was slowly getting behind Seth to attack. The thug got to the very back and puled out a sword then started running towards Seth. And Seth with no clue moved to the side to see Raven fight a little better and the thug missed Seth, his sword hit the ground right next to Seth and Seth just started walking away right after hearing the sword. He didn't even bother to look right next to himself. Seth walked with his hand behind his head like he was doing earlier and the thug stared to fallow Seth, only this time Seth knew the thug was behind him. the thug started running again behind Seth and as soon as the thug tried to strike Seth moved out of the way and ended up right next to the thug."Bored yet?" Asked Seth to the thug. Then he stepped on the tip of the sword holding it to the ground and then he lifted and kicked it to the side.

He got closer to the thug and put one hand around the thugs neck. "That's it?" Seth smiled and let the man's neck go. He started walking away and the man once again was trying to attack Seth. Seth started walking to where Raven was and the man right behind him. He turned to the man and put his hands down. He saw no more men fallowing him other than that one. He could feel a silent wind passing by at the moment and the second the wind came by Seth took out his Dagger and ran towards the man stabbing the man in the stomach then holding the man by the back. "Just rest" He told the man while laying him down on the ground to die. He turned back at Raven and once again watched her as she was fighting.

Raven Silverflame - February 5, 2007 10:35 AM (GMT)
With a deft flick of her wrist, the whip of fire struck the man on the cheek, creating an ugly burn mark. The man cried out, backing up and raising a hand to the burn. He glared at her, shouting several vulgar curse words before raising a hand to his men, sending them forward. Aegis tackled one of the nearest men, teeth bared.

Raven glanced up at Seth. The other man was simply standing there, watching her fight. She frowned at this, noticing that he had dispatched only one man, who had no doubt attacked him first. Was he hoping to let her do all the fighting? If that was so, then so be it. She had lived through battles before.

Raven slung her bow back over her shoulder as the men approached her from all sides, forming a circle around her. She reached beneath her cloak, feeling for the deadly star-shaped shuriken. The shapeshifter was thankful that she had bothered to do some training with them. She held them carefully, holding them between her fingers and her thumb. As the men got close enough, she stretched out her arms, spinning deftly on her heel. The men sprang back as slash marks appeared on them, bleeding from the cuts made by the shuriken.

One of the men came towards her, and Raven let the shuriken fly, watching as it hit one of the men, piercing his flesh. It was still off target, since it was a rather new weapon for the shapeshifter, but it did damage.

“I suggest you back off,” said Raven, stretching out her free hand. She whispered the words to a spell, and a ball of fire ignited in her hand, floating over her palm. “I don’t particularly want to hurt anyone.”

While this was happening, two men had left the conflict, heading towards Seth.

Seth - February 5, 2007 11:25 PM (GMT)
Seth couldn't help but smile at the woman having to deal with all those men on her own. He didn't care, is she could handle her self that was enough for Seth to stay out. He didn't think he was a good fighter anyways. All he knew were things he had to teach him self. Seth tricks were basically sneaking around and that's about it. He wanted to stay as away from trouble as he could. But he would study how Raven would do them men down. She had some pretty nice tricks up her sleeve that she didn't let see before. She could handle her self quite well without any help. He was enjoying the fight till two men came at him.

Seth started to back away from the men that were walking his way and increasing speed to get away from them. He took out his dagger and raised it so that them en could see it. "Why don't you guys go get her? She seems to be taking your men down very fast don't you think?" Seth told the men while backing away from them. He put his dagger pointing straight forward and started walking to the men that were going his way. Seth grabbed one with his whole arm wrapping it around the man spinning his whole body around the man then with his other hand cutting the mans thought. Coming right off the first man Seth kicked the second one down to the ground by hitting him on the face, and then when Seth hit the ground he stepped on the mans face killing him on the spot."I told you she was doing good" He told the dead men.

Seth put his hands right behind his head just like he had before to notice that one of the men had cut him on the same arm he started with before all of this. But the arm just had a small cut. Nothing that would be like before. He started watching Raven fight again and she was doing even better than before Seth did anything about the two men that wee going his way. Seth was getting great amusement just by watching all of this happen. "You go girl" he told Raven with a smile on his face to her progress in fighting.

Raven Silverflame - February 6, 2007 11:28 AM (GMT)
Raven frowned, turning to Seth as he took care of two more of the men. It was apparent that he had no intention to fight, and that he was perfectly willing to leave the fighting to her. Well, if that was what he wanted, then she was fine with that. She smiled a little at his words, nodding at him.

The shapeshifter glanced around her as the men closed in on her. She looked around, counting their numbers. There were seven of them left. They had ignored her words, preferring to continue with the fight instead of backing off. She watched as the remaining seven moved in, weapons at the ready. Her trick with the shuriken wouldn’t work this time. They were alert and ready for her.

Raven let out a soft sigh. Why must they always choose to fight? She was tired of the constant battling, the constant fighting that followed at her heels wherever she went. She wished, for once, she could walk through the city and back without getting mixed up in some sort of mess. Still, she guessed that there was no help for it.

The shapeshifter fit an arrow to her bow, firing it at the nearest man. He deflected the arrow with his sword, running closer to her in a rage. She loosed another arrow, watching as the man fell over, a look of shock etched on his face.

Six…

A blow struck Raven hard from behind and she fell over, throwing her arms out in front of her to take the weight of the fall. She turned around, watching angrily as a man came towards her. He smirked at her, holding out his sword. The man raised the sword, preparing to stab her. Another man grabbed a fistful of her hair, holding her in place. Aegis growled, tackling over one man that tried to restrain him.

The shapeshifter focused as the bright blade headed towards her, shapeshifting into a serpent. The man who was holding her hair dropped her, surprised. She lashed out, sinking her venomous fangs into his heel. The man fell over, grabbing the bite and crying out.

Raven slithered underneath the sword-wielding man, shapeshifting back to her normal form behind him. The man turned around, eyes widening as he saw her. The shapeshifter reached under her cloak, pulling out the Anniversary Dagger. One quick slash, and the man fell to the ground.

Raven glanced over at Seth. She had not told him about her shapeshifting ability, and she was sure he had seen that.

Seth - February 7, 2007 02:52 AM (GMT)
Seth was shocked to see what he had seen. To him, she was a demon that was after his soul or something of the sort. "What the..." *poom* a great big sound behind him Seth jumping up. while yelling "Holy shh" "Shut up before you die little human." Said a man cutting in as Seth was about to talk. A big man with a huge stick with a bigger ball of spikes chained to it was right behind him. Seth opened his eyes and backed away. "I really don't want to do this. I'll be your slave for a day??" Seth told the great big man that was big enough to sit on Seth and kill him. Seth turned completely around and ran to where Raven was fighting the other men. Seth pulled out his dagger had did a turn slash getting one guy in the neck fallowed by a complete turn ground kick and then an elbow to one of the guys mouth. Right from the elbow wrapping his arm around the man he elbowed and taking to guys in one strike. "You mind using your freak powers on that guy?" Seth asked Raven while pointing at the big guy coming there way.

Seth didn't pay any more attention to the big guy as he kept going with the guys that Raven as fighting. One of the men hit Seth so hard he flew bakc and rolled on the ground. Another man took Seth's dagger. This was the exact reason that he wanted to stay away from a fight but it was basically unavoidable, either the little guys that he could have a chance with or the big guy that would sit on him. Nothing else for him to do. "STOP" Seth yelled out, all the men around him stopping what they were doing. Seth made a fist and hit one guy straight in the face, the one with his dagger. The man fell on the floor holding his nose and Seth took his dagger back. "I had no idea that would really work" Seth said while joking about the fight. "GO" He said right after as the men came back into action. Seth was actually just as shocked to see that work as he was to see the beautiful Raven become what she had.

Seth could not help but think of how she did that. There could only be a number of things that could lead to her changing like that and to something helpful non the less. He would think of it while trying to fight back the men. Seth took his dagger and stabbed a man right in the stomach to pull out and see a massive amount of blood just come out of the man like a fountain of blood. The mess of blood on the ground was greater than the one Seth had mad himself before. It was every where. He could only imagine what would happen right after the bigger guy was taken out. There would be so much blood it could fill up a pool. But that would only count on the man dying, if not it would be less blood but still enough from Seth, Raven, and the Wolf.

Raven Silverflame - February 7, 2007 12:19 PM (GMT)
Raven raised an eyebrow as Seth began talking. She had experienced many different reactions to her shapeshifting abilities, but being called a freak wasn't something she had heard since she was a child. It was for that exact reason that she had learned to distance herself from people. Those kind of comments only reminded her that some people still considered her abilities freakish.

Nevertheless, it was true that that man heading towards them was a suitable threat. Raven let Seth handle the rest of them, facing off the man as he approached. Before the man could reach her, Raven recited the Summon Earth Elemental spell. A spirit of the earth appeared in front of her.

"Go help Seth," she said to the Elemental.

The Earth Elemental nodded, joining the fight. The Elemental extended its hands, and the earth began to shift and move, making several of the men coming for Seth stumble and fall.

Meanwhile, Raven faced off the large man with the morning star. The man took one look at her and began to laugh.

"You expect to fight against me?" asked the man, "A little girl and a puppy?"

Aegis growled, hating the fact that he was being referred to as a puppy. Raven glared at him, her gray eyes narrowing. She extended her hand, once again reciting the incantation for the Fire Lash spell. The whip of fire appeared in her hands, coiling around the handle of the morning star. The man cried out as the hilt of the flames seared his hand. She tugged sharply, and the morning star came free, smashing against a stone wall.

Raven smirked slightly at the man as he glared at her, shaking his burned hand.

"I suggest you back off," she said.

"As if I'd ever back off from someone like you," snarled the man, calling her a foul word. The man ran forward, pushing her to the ground. Raven cried out as she hit the ground hard, cutting herself on several sharp pieces of stone. She quickly pushed herself up with her hands, getting into a sitting position. She tried to stand, but ended up slipping again. The shapeshifter winced in pain, hand going to her ankle. Her fall had apparently twisted it.

Raven panted slightly, reciting the spell for the Phantom Blade. A blade of magical energy appeared, slashing at the man. He fell to the ground in a pool of blood.

Raven sat there, panting slightly as she gingerly touched her swollen ankle. She turned her eyes back to Seth, wondering how he was doing.

Seth - February 8, 2007 12:20 AM (GMT)
Seth tried all he could to fight and was doing very good, even when the element thing came. Making the men fall was a good help but then everything went how it was for Seth before and he started losing again. He ended up with no knife to fight with and was in a screwed position. He had to either give it up or probably get killed fighting. One of the men high kicked Seth in the face and he flew back hitting the ground and rolling all over the place. Seth got hurt every where before and by hitting the ground like that and rolling around it only got worse.

Seth arm, started to bleed exactly where it was bleeding before when Raven went to save him the first time. Seth became covered in great unbelievable pain. The same exact pain he had before and stood thrown on the ground while he started to scream again. His voice getting louder and louder every time. The horrible sound of the screams never ending. He couldn't control the horrible pain from or his screams that all came as part of it. Seth was completely out of control just over the pain in his am. The ground around him was becoming covered in blood once again and his movement was fast and in a worm motion.

And finally all at once everything that Seth was doing stopped. Seth was face down laying in between some thugs. Seth jacked somehow started coming off slowly and only his shirt would stay on and something was forcing itself out of Seth. Out of no where clear feathery white wings came out of his back breaking through his shirt. Seth with that took off the ground into the air and flew right in front of all the men, his eyes filled with a deep hate yet in an angel form. Seth flapped and spread his wings. He flew and took his dagger flying past one of the men then on his way back started slashing with perfect aim to the men that were around. He stabbed the two or three times each as he passed. While the men tend to their wounds Seth would come back and give them some more to worry about. Seth in the last run flew to where there were two more men and with his dagger stabbed one man in the stomach and then the other in the eye. The one he stabbed in the eye he just kept stabbing in a psychotic way. Just kept stabbing and stabbing in a fast motion and never ending. He stabbed the man in the face over and over, in the stomach the same, on the sides of the waist and in the neck. All of a sudden Seth got up and Yelled as laud as he could. His arm didn't stop bleeding the whole time. Just like that his wings vanished back into him and Seth passed out on the ground.

Raven Silverflame - February 10, 2007 02:59 PM (GMT)
Raven looked up as Seth began to scream again. She saw blood running from a cut in his arm. The shapeshifter frowned slightly. Why was it that he kept getting hit in that spot? In alarm, she tried to get up, wincing as pain ran through her ankle. Raven fell back down onto the ground, crying out slightly as she fell.

The shapeshifter placed her hand to her swollen ankle, reciting the words to the Greater Heal spell. A light surrounded her injury, and Raven sighed in relief as the swelling died down and the pain disappeared. She got to her feet, intending to head towards Seth when something completely out of the ordinary happened.

Large, feathery white wings appeared on Seth’s back, breaking through his shirt. Raven Silverflame stared at them. They reminded her of celestial’s wings, but Seth wasn’t a celestial…was he? Perhaps he had angel blood.

The shapeshifter watched as Seth made short work of the men. She frowned slightly, watching as he continued stabbing one man, even after he had already died. Blood pooled in the street, coming both from Seth and the already dead men. And then, Seth gave a loud cry. His wings vanished, and Seth collapsed onto the ground, falling down into the pool of blood.

Raven ran over to Seth, examining the wound on his arm. It was the same as before, but Raven had been at her full strength then. The battle had exhausted the shapeshifter, and she wasn’t sure if she would be able to heal this wound again.

Raven gathered the last of her energy, casting the Greater Heal spell yet again. She smiled slightly in triumph as the wound began to close. Hopefully, this would be the last battle for the night. The few men who did not join the fight eyed the two of them with new respect, willing to let them pass for the night. Raven turned to them, and a mutual understanding was reached. This would be the only time they would be allowed to pass. Next time they tried, they would be attacked. She knew that for sure.

“Seth,” she called, attempting to wake the unconscious man.

Seth - February 11, 2007 07:53 PM (GMT)
Seth opened his eyes to have had the same feeling he had the first time he woke up in Lomedor. He didn't know what had happened. He only remembered the little last bit. He remembered everything before he became what he became for those few minutes. He had know knowledge of what happened and he couldn't understand why this would be the second time for it to happen. But he could remember seeing Raven, He hadn't forgotten that far back, only the last few minutes. He tried opening his eyes completely but it wasn't to easy, he had nothing of strength to do that with. He tried and tried till he got it done.

Seth looked at Raven, she was right there next to him. He could feel the same feeling of liquid that was smooth. It was blood all over again. Exactly what had happened the first time, no thing was different other than the location in which he had woken up. Ha had a headache and couldn't really think to well, and with no strength to open his eyes hardly it would be a while before he could say a word.

Seth tried to get up but his arms were to weak to lift him up even with the help of his legs. All Seth could do at the moment was look around to see what had happened. There was no one left, everyone but Seth, Raven and the Wolf. Nothing was adding up to Seth at the time and it was as if so he was just waking up from a horrible dream once again. It was the worse feeling a person could ever have. He could only hope that Raven would tell him what had just happened as she seemed to be perfectly fine and maybe that mean she could tell him what happened right after he got knocked out by those men. How did she save his life.

Raven Silverflame - February 12, 2007 12:57 AM (GMT)
Raven sighed in relief as Seth began to stir. For a moment, she was afraid that her heal spell wasn’t strong enough this time, and that he might die. The shapeshifter watched as Seth tried to get up, but didn’t have enough strength in his body to support him.

“Easy,” said Raven, pushing him back down gently, “You’ll just strain yourself if you do that.”

She frowned, looking around at their surroundings. They were safe for the meantime. The usual rough crowd had decided to leave them alone for the night. She thought back to the last moments of the battle. She wondered how Seth had gotten those wings. It was possible that he was of angelic heritage and didn’t know it. Blaez was the same way, although he was half-dragon and didn’t know it.

Raven turned to Seth, deciding to ask.

“By the way,” she said, “How did you get those wings? Are you half-angel or something?”

Either he was of angelic heritage, or he was a shapeshifter just like her. Raven considered the latter unlikely. She remembered his surprise at her shapeshifting abilities. If he had the same ability, then there was no reason to be surprised.

Raven glanced back to the battlefield, which was now strewn with bodies and pools of blood. An unearthly silence fell over the area. It was the same eerie quiet that one felt when visiting a graveyard—the silence of death. Raven shivered slightly. She hoped Seth was all right, because she wanted to get out of here. If he wasn’t, then she would have to find a way to move him. She frowned slightly, remembering that she had left Naith, her warhorse, in the Syndicate Headquarters. She would have to shapeshift to get them out of here.

Seth - February 14, 2007 10:53 PM (GMT)
Seth stared at Raven as she spoke to him telling him to not push himself too hard or he'll strain himself. But as she kept talking she came to ask something about Seth having wings. Seth waited a few seconds and took a breath to say something. "What wings?" He asked raven with no real understanding of what it was that she was talking to. He kept thinking to himself as he started to look away at all the damage that was made to the dead men and those that were in worse condition than the others with their dead bodies. He could see that there was a fight put up and they were with a loss on their side. It almost seemed unfair when Seth saw all the blood and bodies. He was guessing that Raven had transformed into something like she did before but this time something that would give the thugs no chance.

Seth thought that is was strange if she did do so because she didn't act like the kind of a person that would do something so over the top but it was a moment in need as it seemed. "Did you do this? Where are the rest of those guys?" Seth asked while gaining his energy at a rapid pace. He was recovering faster than he should but Raven did already help him with the once again opened wound on the arm. This was her second time saving him and Seth was thankful that once again she had saved him from death. But it was still very strange to see how some of those men were left.

Seth didn't really know what to think and he was gonna leave that for later. Right at this moment he was not caring to really find out what happened. He was just caring to be alive. If it wasn't for Raven that would have been something bad. He might not have even been there anymore, he could have been dead and most likely was going to be. He wouldn't know how to that her for the second or ever first save plus healing him get out of Lomedor but she was getting something in return for saving hi. There needed to be something she wanted that Seth could do or get for her. Maybe help or something but he was going to offer something as soon as he could get himself back to full power.

Raven Silverflame - February 15, 2007 10:18 AM (GMT)
Raven frowned slightly at Seth's confused reaction. Did that mean that he couldn't remember anything? Anything at all? She wondered how that could be. How could he forget what had happened?

The shapeshifter's frown deepened at his next question. The shapeshifter looked around her, taking a look at the damage that Seth had wrought. She swallowed, feeling bile rise in her throat. Raven had seen the dead before, and had seen blood before, but at this amount it was sickening. She resisted the urge to throw up, turning to Seth.

"I didn't," she said, "You did. Don't you remember anything? You suddenly grew white wings and well, you went a little crazy on them."

She frowned, glancing around her at the shadowed alleyways. She could still feel their eyes on Seth and herself. They were beaten now, but they would repay the debt someday.

"As for the others, they've left," said Raven, "They're going to let us pass tonight, but I highly doubt that they'll let us be the next time we show up here. She turned to Seth, sighing slightly. There was no point in hiding now. He had already seen her for what she was.

"As you've no doubt noticed, I am a shapeshifter," said Raven, "I didn't tell you this before because I guessed that it would be irrelevant and it is hardly something that I would like all of Arda to know."

Aegis walked over to her, pushing her slightly with his snout. In his own way, the white wolf was trying to tell her to start moving. Raven turned to the wolf, placing her hand on its head.

"We should leave this place," said Raven.

Seth - February 16, 2007 04:34 AM (GMT)
Seth slowly got up with the energy that he didn't have, pushing himself up with unknown strength. He was just happy to be alive and wanted to get out of there in agreement with Raven saying they should leave. He didn't really care what Raven said about anything else, he would try to understand and answer what he could while they left. He was just going to leave with energy or not, his mission at the moment is get anywhere safe. Seth started walking in a hurt form, like a side walk, leaning as if drunk but out of pain. He was sucking it up to both impress Raven and get farther.

"White wings you say? How did that happen? Little fairies gave me great powers or something?" He said joking on the aspect as he kept walking to where ever it was he was going which he also didn't seem to know. He was just going for safety no matter how far or where along as he found it. "Why did the other leave? Did my evil monster side scare them away? Haha" He said while still walking and still making fun of what Raven said. He wasn't really believing what she said because he thought he would know if he became something with wings.

"So where are we going to not get killed on the next attack?" Seth asked Raven as he kept walking without stop. He needed some where to head, he was already half dead thanks to the fight and he was in real need of rest. It would be the one if only thing that would make him well at the moment and it was the perfect way to welcome the next day, like any other person would, by waking up to the new day.

Raven Silverflame - February 17, 2007 01:50 PM (GMT)
Raven watched as Seth got to his feet, although rather unsteadily. She let out a soft sigh. At least he was all right. The shapeshifter frowned slightly as he began to walk unsteadily down the street, looking rather like a man who had a little too much to drink. She guessed that he was probably too proud to ask for help, and inwardly, she was thankful. She wasn't sure if she had the strength to help him after the last battle.

Slowly, Raven drew herself to her feet, slinging her bow back over her shoulder as she did so. The shapeshifter picked up her Anniversary Dagger from where it lay on the street, placing it back into its sheath. The archer walked towards two of the bodies, the sound of her footsteps echoing dismally in the empty street, accompanied by Seth's irregular ones and the soft sound of Aegis's padded feet. She reached the men, flipping one of them over with the toe of her boot. The shapeshifter bent down, grimacing as she freed her shuriken. The star-shaped blade was covered in blood. She did the same with the other man, putting both shurikens in a small pouch underneath her cloak. That done, the shapeshifter walked over to Seth.

She frowned slightly, listening to his words. The sarcasm in them was evident, and it annoyed her slightly. She had expected something of this sort--disbelief, mockery, maybe even anger--but that didn't mean that it wasn't annoying.

"I know what I saw, Seth," said Raven, voice calm and level, "You can drop the sarcasm."

She frowned, listening to his next question. By her estimate, they only had a few hours till dawn. Where could they go that was nearby, and where they might be able to rest enough to make the journey to the Misty Forest? The shapeshifter looked around, her eyes catching sight once again of the nearby tall building--the tallest building in Lomedor.

"We could go there," said Raven, pointing, "It's the headquarters of the Syndicate of Blades. It's not much, but we won't get attacked, and I can get supplies for the trip to the Misty Forest."

Seth - February 25, 2007 01:57 AM (GMT)
"Syndicate of Blades, some entertainment group or something?" He said as he kept walking. This was his first time to ever hear of them so he didn't know who they were, to Seth it sounded like some kind of act group with blades and other things of the sort. "You part of their little group or is that a free stay for all that come?" Seth asked Raven.

He kept the thought of what Raven said of the wings coming out of Seth and him being the cause of the Deaths that the men had taken but to him it was still nothing more than a joke. He didn't believe her, it was too impossible in his mind for him to be transforming into someone or something with wings attached, None the less transforming at all."So I guess that we are headed that way am I right? How well do you know that place?"

Seth didn't stop with the questions about the Syndicate, the name was interesting while still sounding like something pulled out of a comedy act. He didn't mind as long as they found some place that they could get some rest to then go to the Misty Forest, if they were to go straight there they might have trouble on the way without rest. They might ned to energy for later.

Raven Silverflame - March 7, 2007 12:47 PM (GMT)
Raven frowned slightly. An entertainment group? She wondered where Seth had gotten an idea like that. The shapeshifter let out a sigh, turning to Seth. She supposed she would have to explain it to him.

"Hardly," she said, "The Syndicate of Blades is a mercenary organization. It has two factions, the Neutrals, and the Blades. The Blades are the members that specialize in mercenary work, especially that involving battle. The Neutrals can be hired for espionage work. And yes, I am a member. I am one of the Neutrals."

The shapeshifter turned her eyes to the building. Seth's question had made her realize something. She wasn't sure if Seth would be welcome in the building.

"I don't know if it's okay or not for you to go in there," she said, "I guess as long as you stay in the hall, it should be fine though."

She turned in the direction of the building, beginning to walk.

"Follow me," she said, to Seth. "Unless, of course, you want to stay out here for the rest of the night."

((Short, I know, but I really have no inspiration right now.))

Seth - March 7, 2007 08:45 PM (GMT)
Seth smiled when Raven began to talk about the The Syndicate of Blades. The name did sound like an act for the circus or something but as it seems it wasn't. It was actually a group of Mercenaries that was right in Lomedor. It was nothing that Seth had ever heard of, something completely new to him and it did sound interesting enough. Seth got curious about it and now wanted to know a little more about it. What was the actually mission and how do they do mercenary work as a group without someone wanting the whole pay or wanting to get more money than the rest and screwing it up for everyone else. Seth had heard of Mercenaries that did such work before but it was of a married couple and two brothers in another occasion. Nothing about a whole group of people that did their own thing.

"So you are part of the shiny group of Mercenaries that work all together. Is there really any point to doing that? There is always someone that wants more pay!" He told Raven trying to make sense of the idea of a group of Mercenaries. It was kind of illogical for that too work too well unless they were the nicest human beings alive to work together. If not they were all family or something. Mercenaries do work for the money and when the money is taken by someone else it usually means war. Seth could not get the meaning of it or a good reason for why they would still be standing after day one. He smiled and then laughed a little at The Syndicate of Blades. "Good Mercenaries, that's a new one" He said to himself out laud.

Seth walked behind Raven as she headed towards The Syndicate of Blades building. And with Raven's saying he couldn't stay he had to think up a backup plan to where he would stay if not there. He could just stay in a pub around the area if he couldn't stay in the building and that would serve him just as well but with the pubs around the area they were in. It was not going to end in sleeping like a baby. He would need to watch every second and not let anyone catch up on him and he wouldn't be getting too much of a rest if he did so. "I hope I could stay, I don't want to end up in a place worst then these streets are. That would just be the moral to the darn story." He said with a big smile on his face still thinking of the name for The Syndicate of Blades. It was a real funny name to him and still came out at one. Now a New Adventure was about to start involving The Syndicate of Blades...

Ending!
