Az reached the Eastern coast of Arda, after another few days of journeying. He knew he was approaching some big bod of water, most likely an ocean, by the smell of salt from a few miles away. This excited him, as he hadn't been to the ocean in a long time. He broke out into a run, and ran the rest of the way to the coast, which took him another hour or so. It was fun for him, because all there was were grassy meadows, the grass up to his hips at least. Plus it was the middle of the day, so it was hot, and nice cold oceanic water would feel great after sweating like a pig.

He finally reached the coast, but found himself at a cliff, rising up about 25 feet. He came to a really short stop, skidding and half his foot going off the edge. He stood there a moment, looking down, finding only sand. He backed up a few paces, and burst forward again, and with incredible demon speed. He threw himself off of the cliff, falling down with his arms and legs outstretched, for more air resistance. The ground was coming up fast for him, and quickly he threw himself into a flip, landing on the sand on his feet. Hard though, since sand isn't very cushy. It was like water. Easily penetrable at a low speed, but killed you if you went to fast. But that wasn't until you got about 200 feet, when a normal man reached terminal velocity.

Az hit and rolled quickly, absorbing a little bit of the force into his roll, but he still felt it in his knees. He stopped in a sitting position, out of breath, knees hurting, and still a little high from an adrenaline rush. He sat there a moment, letting his knees and the painful numbness of his feet to go away. It wasn't the first time he had attempted it, but it was one of the first where it hurt. Maybe he was just getting old...

His pain subsiding after a few minutes, he stood up shakily, and shook it all off. He was fine, just a little banged up is all. He then took off his shoes and socks and shirt, and walked down to the waterside. Nearby he dropped his shoes, socks and shirt. There he took off his pants, revealing skin tight deer skin shorts that he made himself. He laid his pants across his stuff, with his dagger there too, and ran to the water.

He ran into the water until it was about knee deep, and dove in. It was freezing cold, but it felt great to Az after that hour long dash. He swam under the surface for a ways, and resurfaced about 50 feet out. He treaded there for a moment, shaking the water out of his face. He looked about, seeing the shore, and rocks lying innocently in the middle of the water. Luckily the water was pretty calm on this warm sunny day, but you never know what's out for a bite to eat.

Just for safety, he decided to swim back to shallower water. He came to about 10 feet deep water, and was good for him. Surprisingly to him, the water was super clear, and could see through for a long ways. He dove under again, and hung out a little bit under there, looking around for some sort of sea life. But, nothing really caught his attention except for a couple floatin' jellyfish a ways away, and a few small fish. He actually kind of hoping for maybe a manta ray or shark maybe, and take a swim with them. But, he knew it was rare for sharks to be out in this shallow of water, and rays just camouflaged themselves in the sand. He resurfaced, a little disappointed, and swam back to shore.

He came next to his stuff and plopped right by them in the warm sand, the sun beating on his chest. He was already tan enough, and had a natural sun resisting skin, so he didn't burn that easily. He put his hands behind his head, crossed his ankles, and closed his eyes as he rested there in the sun, warming up a little bit.

A male who appeared human hiked along the somewhat mountainous hills, and, finally seeing flat land, sighed in relief as he headed down to it. The heat was unbearable. A scent eventually caught his interest. Was it.... salt? He knew he must be approaching the Eastern Coast. He broke into a run. The sooner, the better.

It took about two hours, but eventually the salt smell became very strong. He knew he was close. As he headed closer, he noticed a few cliffs. He looked over one. Sand... Water... of course... What else would be there anyway? He took about 20 paces back and turned. He then ran for the edge of the cliff. As he hit the edge, he leapt off, soaring an incredible distance. He shifted into his water dwelling form and hit the water, sinking in, then coming back up to the surface. To him, that was just incredible. He sweat just leaked into the ocean and faded.

The shapeshifter then started to go on shore, which was best in his Human Form, note two reason. The first being that the sun would take away some moisture from his water dwelling form, and would too take from human form, but not nearly as much as a Water Dweller. The second being if someone saw him, they wouldn't be asking multiple questions.

Climbing ashore, he lay down on his back, folded his arms, put his legs up and folded them forward some, then began to relax. After a while of this, he sat up and decided to go back into the water. He got up and walked into it, human skin becoming scaly as he morphed once more.

The water felt colder this time, as he liked it. The unusual form of shapeshifter dove below the water and looked around. He saw a few fish swim by, and decided to go much deeper. He headed down, down far below the waves. It was nice he had an unlimited supply of air, or this would be chaotic. Rocks lay everywhere, and he could swear he saw a ship broken in two with letters that were rusted. All he could make out was T-I-T-A (Allusion to the Titanic :p ). He sighed before swimming off the other way, back to the shore.

Along the way, a shark quickly flew by. It didn't notice him, thank goodness. This happened half way to the shore. Once he saw sand begin to rise up, he ascended to the surface of the water, instantly becoming a human. He stepped on shore and shook out his wet clothing. He looked around and saw a figure in the distance.

Az heard a little bit of splashing from time to time, but only twice were they the loudest. He didn't know whether they were waves, or something jumping out of the water, but it hadn't reached him yet, so obviously it wasn't harmful.

He felt himself start to get a little crispy in the sun, and sat up to shade his front side a little bit. He looked out tot he wat er and saw another guy coming out of the water. He figured this was the cause of those splashes, but wondered how someone like him could make such big ones. Maybe his ears were deceiving him or something. Well, Az wasn't about to find out if was him or not, so he just sat there looking out, just spacing out. A few ideas popped into his head about what he do, like tackling the guy back into the water, or running over to him, picking him up and throwing him into the water, or run past really fast and splash him with his feet. He didn't know, and wasn't about to since Az didn't know this one.

He looked down on his chest and saw particles of salt left over from the dried water. It was gonna drive him nuts until he found fresh water to get it off, but for now, he'll just rinse it off with more salt water...

He stood up and dashed into the water, diving into waist deep water, and feeling the cold water take over his body temperature. He cooled fast, and kept swimming to keep from getting too cold. He came up and treaded water for a sec, shaking the water out his eyes again, and felt refreshed once again. He swam back to shore, and this time stood there also.

Not feeling like lying down again, he picked some good sized rocks scattered about in the sandy beach, and skipped a few across the water. They skipped a good 7 or 8 times, one of them going so far he lost count after 9 it skipped so fast. He might have been able to do more if it was a lake, where the water was super calm and smooth, but the ocean always had some sort of choppy wave, whether they were small or big chops. They just stopped his rock from going any farther...
