Title: Trial of 100 Foes
Description: (Refer to OOC Board found inside.)

Silvexian - January 20, 2007 05:48 PM (GMT)
OOC Board - (Ask to join there.)

Silvexian was told to come to Taurai Woods by a strange shadowy man. He wasn't sure why, but when he was there, he saw a sign which read, "Shadow Trial." This must have been it, he remembered hearing of some trial by the man.

As soon as he saw an old building covered in vines, he headed up to it and through an old door. On the other side of it, there was a hall which he headed through. There was an arena! A gate closed behind him. "A trick!" hissed Silvexian, grabbing his dagger. Before him were 2 gates, and behind one was a rumble. Silvexian shuddered. The gate slowly came open, and he saw a large leg step out of the shadows. Silvexian began to quake with sweat.

Out of the shadow emerged a blue ogre, about 4 times the size of a normal one. It had a blue and brown club with multiple spikes on it. This was too much! He'd need some help here! He leapt over an incoming swipe of the club. Another was coming straight down. He ran to the side. The next one was right in the middle of his body, a sideways swing. Silvexian tried to leap over it, and saw something. He grabbed one of the spikes and held onto the club, which was constantly swinging around. He lifted one hand and yelled, "Chain Binding!" Only one spell to remember, he didn't need a Spell Book for that. A chain wrapped the club into the ground, and Silvexian ran up the arm and tried to stab the ogre in the side of the arm. The ogre shrugged his shoulder and caught Silvexian with his arm. He then dropped the club which was locked in place and held Silvexian tightly. Suddenly, he dropped him. Blood dripped from his hand after a stab from Silvexian's dagger. Then the ogre kicked him into the wall. Silvexian roared in pain before falling to he ground. He ogre picked him up again, this time taking his dagger. Silvexian groaned and moaned. He screamed, obviosly breaking his arm. He kicked the ogre's hand hard. This allowed him to free his arm, but at the same time drop to the ground.

Silvexian cried out in extreme pain. Was this his end? Would he survive? He desperately needed an ally if he wanted to stand a chance. But why did the one with the shadowy face want him here? Then it hit him... Aurox!

Silvexian did his best to stand up. He managed, but all he had the use of now were his two legs and right arm. He needed a weapon. He ducked down and caused water to go everywhere. The ogre nearly slipped, and Silvexian transfomed into a Water Dweller. His left arm still ached, but now he had two razors, but one was on his left arm, so technically one.

But, to the point! Silvexian charged and cut the ogre's leg before being kicked once more. This time he broke the crash by leaping off the wall. "Surely someone else is coming!" he thought.

Vaudeux Jupiter - January 24, 2007 09:13 PM (GMT)
Lub-dub. The relentless pounding of his heartbeat erupting in his temples, which caused the man to stir awake. For a moment the throbbing was the only sound he could recognize, but then his vision returned and the thumping subsided. He was face first in the dirt and on his stomach. Using his arms to resemble a push-up motion the human slowly stood up on his knees. His limbs felt heavy, almost like he had been given some sort of herb, so it was difficult to stand. The last thing he could remember was heading out of a pub and a sharp pain over the head. Did someone take me here? Around him was the setting of some sort of cavern that had hardly any lighting. Eyes darting in all directions he realized that he must have been brought to this strange place by whomever had snuck up on him that night.

Jupiter finally rose from the dirt and could soon feel the quake-like vibrations below him. What’s going on? Thought the half-dragon spinning around to notice a small hole peeking through the ground. Vaud headed over to the hole carefully and peered down through. To his horror he spied a huge orge attacking a small creature just below him. Something told him to just stay above and watch the events unfold from where he was, so he continued to observe from his roof area for now. The orge was a fierce creature and this particular orge was one of the largest he has ever seen. The monster stomped hard on the ground causing the floor to shake under him. Somewhere above a rock detached and blundered down the walls towards him, Vaud merely stepped aside and allowed the huge boulder to crash through the hole to the bottom.

Jupiter was shocked to see that the large rock expanded the hole even larger. The ground he was standing on was not as stable as he anticipated. Another stomp from great beast caused the whole arena to shake once more, another rock crumbled off and plummeted towards him, and punched another hole through the area he was standing. Leaning over the hole he looked down to see the orge kick the small creature towards the wall. If it happens again I’ll be sent down there whether I like it or not. He thought to himself continuing to peer down through the hole in the floor.

Shrugging, Vaudeux kicked up his heel and allowed his dagger to fly up gracefully into his palm from his ankle. From there he positioned himself over the hole, looking down, and waiting for the right moment to strike. Out of the corner of his vision the orge’s bluish arm appeared thrashing in the corner, yet still he waited. The man lowered himself closer to the hole, spun his blade across his palm into stabbing position, and kept watching. Suddenly the small creature dashed across the scene and the orge blundered after it, now it was time. Jupiter leaped from the hole and flew through the air for a moment, arms open wide to catch the air, it felt like he was flying again. Then he finally hit the back shoulder of the great monster, slamming down hard on his stomach, yet stopping himself with his hands to lessen the blow. Nevertheless he swung his legs around up onto the orge’s full shoulder and began adjusting his arms towards the orge‘s neck.

The sudden impact had startled the monster and caused him to halt his pursue of the other creature and pat stupidly up his arm and shoulder area, yet missing his attacker completely. Jupiter was too fast and already had the blade of his dagger up near its neck. With a few mighty thrusts he stabbed the orge near the back of its head and its back a couple times, his ears filling with inhuman shrieks of pain from the beast. The orge spun around, attempting to throw Jupiter off his back, but his grip was too tight around his neck and he gave the monster another good stab. The orge spun wildly again, causing Vaud to shake his head from sickness and readjust his grip on his weapon. Finally he had time to look over and check on the creature on the ground, he couldn’t tell what it was, but he could tell it had human features.

“Get up kid!” The half-dragon man yelled suffering another spin from his foe, yet still holding on with accuracy of a bull-rider.

Silvexian - January 24, 2007 09:29 PM (GMT)
“Get up kid!” called a voice. "I can't," Silvexian managed to say. A beam of light shone down on him. Silvexian opened his eyes. "Son, yes you can!" It was his mother, cheering him on. He felt his bones smoothen out and connect together once more. He felt more refreshed than he ever had in his life! "Go son! Go do it!"

Silvexian stood firmly and drew his dagger. He saw someone else in the arena. This time, he had help from two people. A stranger, and his mother's spirit lingering on his heart. He charged at the ogre and kicked his neck, coming back around and stabbing his throat. The ogre, collapsed. His mother had done it! She had given him enough power to defeat it... and in a single blow. "Son, try something on your own now. I'll still be will you in spirit, and you have someone else helping you," said his mother, some of the extreme power fading. Silvexian grinned. There was more? How did his mother know that.

"Bring out the next challenge!" was heard. Silvexian looked up to see a figure in a black robe and a mask. He saw a crowd around him, cheering. Suddenly, three gnomes with potions came out the other gate. "Do you think you can handle some tiny gnomes?" he asked the other person.

Vaudeux Jupiter - January 25, 2007 01:17 AM (GMT)
Jupiter collapsed with the weight of the orge, but managed to kick off it’s back before it had a chance to land on him. After recovering from his attack he stood over the corpse of the orge and pursed his lips in distaste. Even if these creatures were somewhat evil they were useless and idiotic and they lived to destroy, even their own homes. He looked up at the kid and nodded in approval, but there was something about this creature that he couldn’t quite place. There was some sort of aura surrounding him, a good and holy aura that set off good vibrations. He shuddered then turned and looked back to the exit, it was sealed off. Suddenly a strange man appeared then disappeared all the same, bringing out a new task for them to perform. Vaud took one look at the gnomes and shook his head in disbelief, from an orge to a gnome? What was going on here?

“You mean to tell me we’re stuck in here fighting some bloody monsters?” Jupiter growled turning back to the kid who was already advancing on the feisty little gnomes. “And what’s with the bloody potions?” He was becoming rather annoyed just as one little pair of stubby legs started charging his way. Just standing there he merely stepped off to the side as it rose the potion above its head to strike. Jupiter snatched up the potion and, with a counterclockwise motion, smashed it over the top of the gnomes head. The gnome made a high-pitched squeal and collapsed over itself seeping in glass shards and remnants of potion. Vaud looked back up to the kid and gave him an incredulous look, while motioning down to the knocked-out creature with his free hand.

Silvexian - January 25, 2007 02:42 AM (GMT)
Silvexian laughed at the pathetic challenge. His ally had easily defeated the first gnome. Two remained. They drank their potions and grew... two inches taller. Silvexian grinned and jumped on one of them, kicking it into the other. "Was that it?"

The crowd roared. "Let the next battle commence!" The gate opened, and 2 gnomes, 2 imps, 2 wolves, and another wolf, this one a strange bronze color emerged. "There's something about the Bronze one that gives me a bad feeling! Take it last! Work your way up!" Silvexian decided to hold off the bronze wolf with his Chain Binding, using up some mana. He quickly stabbed a gnome and killed it, then following with the other. He saw an incoming blast of lightning and leapt over it. He was right! It was a Lightning Wolf! It would be best to go after the imps now.

Vaudeux Jupiter - January 25, 2007 03:33 AM (GMT)
The man merely grinned at the incoming foes, all weaklings in his eyes. But what was the point in all of this? Vaudeux looked around the area for a moment. The crowd was clapping almost unenthusiastically at the new wimpy monsters entering the area, but when the strange wolf-like creature emerged they perked up. Almost like they wanted to see the monsters win over them. Sick freaks, Jupiter thought with his arms folded while observing the crowd of spectators. This situation was something different, something he had never experienced before, and it would be quite fun to sit back and kick a few more gnomes around.

He stood back and watched his new accomplice jump and dodge around the arena, a skeptical grin formed at the corner of his mouth. The human was happy standing back and watching until a happy bolt of electricity headed his way. He knew by the sharp head turn of the bronze wolf that it had picked its next target even in its chained bindings. The creatures spine curled up and, with a deformed face, scrunched and let out an inaudible roar. As the static approached it blew his cloak up around him, like a blast of strong wind might, and conjured up currency near his feet. It was a strange occurrence and Vaud didn’t know exactly what was going to happen, but he did know that he didn’t want to stand around a find out.

Before the blow could strike Jupiter spun around away from his spot and bolted towards the locked gate of the arena. When he did reach the gate he hopped up on the bindings just as the lightning struck, feet away. The shock wave of the attack caused him to lose his grip from the gate and he landed back on the ground, dangerously close to landing on his rear, but managing to land just on his feet. After shaking it off he headed back towards the center of the arena, now with a grudge apparent in his eye. And his eye was on the bronze wolf. Yet before he could reach his target a small gnome scurried in his path, bumping into his leg. Out of pure rage Jupiter managed to hoist the gnome up by its trousers and toss it across the arena. With a long squeal the gnome soared through the air and landed, with a crack, on top of one of the lone wolves.

Now he had a grudge. He looked back at the kid, thinking it would be best to allow him to handle the imps, for Jupiter had no recollection of the creatures.

Silvexian - January 25, 2007 04:16 AM (GMT)
Silvexian leapt up and came down on one imp and instantly killed it. He noticed the Lightning Wolf coming for another blow after noting the fact that his fur was poking up into the air. He ran in front of one of the imps. He stood there, the imp coming straight at him. He then leapt out of the way as the imp was electrocuted to death by the beam of lightning. He headed at a basic wolf and smashed it into the ground, leaping straight up over some lightning and coming down on the wolf when it ended, causing dirt to pile it in, making it stay there.

Silvexian focused on the two foes remaining. A basic wolf, and a Lightning Wolf. The Lightning Wolf grew in size, snapping the chains apart. It grew somehow? Well, it killed the basic wolf on its own, and headed towards Silvexian. A dome suddenly came over the arena. This made it very dark. Thanks to Infravision, he could see in it. But he was worried about the other guy.

Vaudeux Jupiter - January 25, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
The last thing he saw before the arena had sealed off light from the outside world was the size of the lighting wolf grow incredibly. It was truly a strange creature indeed. Suddenly the world around him went black, but because of his abilities that didn’t last long. Since he could remember he was able to see in the dark. He had always thought it was because of the dragon in him, but even in human form his capabilities would work in tow (infravision too). It was like the lights were turned on once more, but with less opacity and contrast as his normal vision was. The area was not shining brightly with colors as before, but it mattered not to Jupiter he continued forward back towards the kid. If they were going to defeat this monster they would have to have a plan.

Vaud reached him and dragged him over out of the blasting zone of danger. He bent down slightly lower in order to talk to the younger one,
“Hey we need a plan,” He hissed only loud enough for them to hear. “One of us needs to distract that thing, while the other gives it a good surprise attack.”

While he spoke he was watching the wolf prowl across the room. It seemed to be slightly lost in the darkness, yet when it conjured up another bolt it could see momentarily. Good for the pair, it wasn’t looking in their direction when the bolt was sparked. He turned back to the kid and continued,
“It shouldn’t be too hard to sneak, but once it knows where we are we’ll need the distraction. The other should find its weak point somehow and kill it right away. You know what I’m saying?” Jupiter looked back at the wolf, it was now starting to prowl in their direction, he would need his accomplice to make a decision soon.

Silvexian - January 26, 2007 10:25 PM (GMT)
"Yeah, so we'll get close to it, and when it sees us, split up," said Silvexian. "He'll chase one of us, and the other can focus on the strike." A beam of light fired over his head. "I guess this would be time to decide," he added, leaping over an incoming shock wave. He grabbed his sword and headed the opposite way, in a circle around his foe.

Vaudeux Jupiter - January 27, 2007 04:24 AM (GMT)
He nodded primarily after his accomplice had spoken, so he would know that they were on the same page. It relieved Jupiter to know that they were on the same page because then they wouldn’t waste precious wolf killing time. The half-dragon watched, after they broke their huddle, as the kid ran out and withdrew his weapon. Perhaps they would both decide to strike if either had the opportunity. So, Vaudeux spun his dagger in his palm, flicking off excess blood, and then gripping it in his hand. His eyes were now keen on the wolf, prowling and growling in the darkness, waiting for the correct moment. Across the stadium the kid was circling behind the large wolf, a perfect attacking point, so making a split decision he chose his role.

The bronze animal gritted its teeth and once again the sequence of conjuring up a lighting bolt was initiated. Yet, he was smart, and once again waited for the precise moment in order to get his timing right. He watched the facial features of the wolf for a moment and right when its eyes were starting to close, meaning the bolt was about to be let loose, he made his move. Jumping from the corner of the arena and waved his arms while bellowing random taunts at the top of his lungs.
“Hey! Over here!”

The wolf stopped his attack short and focused a pair of strange blue eyes directly at him. The eyes practically pierced through him in the darkness and allowed the wolf to move with a motive, now it was after him. One large paw after the other the wolf bounded on him across the stadium. Jupiter was at a slow trot at first, but then steadily had to increase his pace as the wolf neared. Apparently its senses now heightened once it began its chase. Soon Jupiter was at a full sprint, leading the electric monster around the arena, he couldn’t watch the monster now. Only chancing a glance behind him he saw the wolf nearly at his heels and he tried to pick up the pace. He had a hope that the kid had followed through with their plan otherwise things were starting to look dismal.

Silvexian - January 27, 2007 04:46 AM (GMT)
His ally lead the Lightning Wolf away. Silvexian followed as silent as possible. He then grabbed his blade, took a swing, and hit the Lightning Wolf straight in the face. It then fell to the ground. Silvexian hit it again, pulling off a stab to the heart, killing it. "That didn't seem as strong as a normal Lightning Wolf," said Silvexian, believing something was wrong. "Begin the next round!" yelled the man in the mask, the gate opening once again. Silvexian held his sword out. Out stepped two types of shapeshifters known as Avilios. They can only choose a target to change into, and that is the only thing they will ever be able to change into. A mark would appear on the wrist after it was chosen. Looking closely, Silvexian saw none. Uh oh... He knew what was coming. One of them approached him, as the other approached his ally. The Avilio became scaly, and began to grow...

Vaudeux Jupiter - January 29, 2007 09:07 PM (GMT)
A wave of relief spread over the half-dragon as he witnessed the lightening wolf collapse helplessly to the ground. Peculiarly the ‘supposedly’ strong being went down with a single slash from his accomplice. If it were that easy I would have done it myself, Vaudeux thought and he stood back and observed the mass of fur and blood that was now seeping into the ground. Accordingly the kid was thinking the same as he made a similar comment standing over the corpse, a minute later. Just as Jupiter was interested in examining the fallen being the familiar annoying voice prompted them to begin yet another round of torture. He exhaled and slumped his shoulders slightly. Physically he wasn’t exhausted, he was just bored of the whole set up and bored of the obnoxious voice that commanded them to fight yet another creature. Who did the voice belong to? What kind of madman would posses these creatures, to be sent out as random enemies, to a chosen two captured and ordered to fight or perish?

He couldn’t contemplate the subject much longer, for a pair of strange creatures were drifting out of another gate at the opposite end of the arena. Vaud watched the strange beings hover for a moment, then dash off across the way towards the kid. Oh no… He thought as he watched the kid, who wasn’t moving but somehow examining the beings. The half-dragon came to his senses and believed that the knowledgeable kid must have known about these creatures as well. How is it that I don’t? After all my years living over him shouldn’t I have the upper mind? He thought then cursing off current schools under his breath. Suddenly a figure standing over the fallen corpse startled him after he noticed it from the corner of his eye.

Vaudeux watched it for a moment, after he recovered from surprise, and suddenly realized that it was one of the beings that had entered the stadium. Suddenly the creature locked on to the giant lighting wolf and became immobile. A strange iridescent form of energy encircled the creature as it continued to stare at the animal. He was appalled at the being and confused by its actions. His next move was one of bewilderment, for he didn’t want the foreign beast bringing the wolf back to life or something of the sort. “Hey!” Jupiter roared from his spot. The creatures blank face shot up and noticed him in an instant, but something miraculous happened. The energy weaving through its pores became more intense and with a short intense flash erupted surrounding the creature and encompassing the area for a moment.

When Vaud regained his vision he looked back up through his arms and the scene that unfolded caused nothing but pure shock. There, looming in front of him, with a bulky physique and stranding on its hind-legs was some sort of wolf man. A shape-stealer? He thought staggering back a few steps from astonishment. The shapshifter’s product had borrowed the pure white hair, claws, and muzzle of the lighting wolf and the upright position and muscles from him. Out of his own mistake he had created his own beast and at the same time figured out what the strange creature was that had entered the arena. Without a second thought Jupiter kicked his dagger back up into his palm just as the creature let out a mighty growl straight in his face. This round might not be as easy as kicking around a couple gnomes was.

Silvexian - February 26, 2007 02:21 AM (GMT)
Silvexian had an advantage over his copy though. The copy didn't have his weapons. Silvexian hit it with the sword, then ran off to help his ally, who likely wouldn't need his help anyway. Silvexian struck it over, but it just shifted and turned on the dirt, looking unharmed. He understood the reason the first fell so quickly. "This other one fell right away because it was only a pup!" he yelled. "But this has more strength than a fully grown Lightning Wolf! We'll have to fight one foe at a time here!" He then got struck from behind by Anti-Silvexian. Silvexian leapt away and rubbed the mark that was made. He then struck his copy to the floor.

Vaudeux Jupiter - May 21, 2007 03:46 AM (GMT)
Whatever the being was Jupiter didn’t like it. He dodged to the side along with the kid and allowed it to strike down the self-proclaimed pup. The kid was strangely good at striking down creatures with one mere blow, almost with no effort or strain on his part. Nonetheless Jupiter rounded on the beast creature, whom had stolen most of his muscle-like features, and charged. The beast was incredibly fast and skidded out of the way, slashing out at Vaudeux with razor claws. The claws dug deep and hard into the half-dragon’s skin, drawing blood in an instant. The pain was like a trio of long sharp burns, intense at first, then dulling into a collection of hurt.

Vaud’s arm shot downward, yet his eyes didn’t drift to his wound, it was now the most important to keep his eyes on his opponent. With a great stride and the pivoting of his foot he rounded back onto the wolf creature, throwing his muscled arms in the direction of the beast. His first strike could be rendered useless, but the thief did not give up so easily and continued with his plight. Several slashes, jabs and, movements later the beast and Vaud’s battle accompaniment was littered with footprints blood and dust. The being didn’t resemble or act like anything Jupiter could recognize. If he could pinpoint its closest relative that would have to be in the ways of a ware wolf.

Finally Jupiter managed to nick the tendon of his foe’s leg. The being crumpled, useless, toppling over to its one side in anguish. Vaud, now bloodthirsty with fury, let the being have it. His blade was no caked in blood and gore, the arena of which he stood riddled with dirt in the constancy of mud from the gore that accompanied it. There was a strange sensation about the place that Vaudeux was starting to come about. No matter what he slew or how he did, there was always an utter feeling that more would be realeased. What ever he got his self trapped in and captured to be competing in, it was the most pleasurable or wanted experiences.
