Aisling half limped into the inn. He gasped a minute on the door. A few people in the main hall looked at him the shrugged and went back to their business. He limped to the front desk and asked for one room. As the manager went to pencil him in, Aisling's mind wondered to the time on the road he spent to get here.
He was limping because he was chasing a rabbit for a lunch. Usually he wouldn't eat a rabbit, but this one was diferent. It had started chewing his boot without Aisling noticeing and then after chewing through the leather, bit his toe. Of course this was not why he limped. After chasing the rabbit, it jumped into a small dried up river. This ravine, Aisling did not notice until he tripped on a dried up tree root and fell in, twisting his ankle.
The manager turned back with a smile telling him where his room was. This man seemed very friendly and it was no surprise to Aisling why a run down inn got so many visitors. He walked slowly because of his ankel up the stairs and deposited his bag and staff in his room. He sat on his bed and looked around. It was a small room, with only a bed, small stool, dresser and a miror of glass. It was certainly small but it would do Aisling fine.
He hobbled down the stairs and sat down in a chair near the fire in the lobby like area. He looked at a small bookshelf on the west wall. One of the books he recognized and picked it out and started reading. He read for about twenty minutes until someone noticed his flue and asked if he was a bard. Aisling smiled and nodded. When the man asked if he would sing a song Aisling agreed. He started with a small tune on the flute and then turned into a song
When you're in love, there's no time and no space
There's a permanent smile on your face
Your friends all complain that you're going insane
But the truth is they're just afraid
Hey somewhere,
you threw your fear in the Sea of No Cares
Hey somewhere,
you threw your fear in the Sea of No Cares
When you decide that what counts is inside
Your friends all say it's a lie
But there's no brighter light than the look in her eyes
When you're walking her home through the night
Hey somewhere,
you threw your fear in the Sea of No Cares
Hey somewhere,
you threw your fear in the Sea of No Cares
Let your self go with the tide
There's an angel by your side
Tonight
Back at the bar getting cynically stoned
Your friends are drinking alone
But it's funny, they don't even cross your mind
When she asks you into her home
Hey somewhere,
you threw your fear in the Sea of No Cares
Hey somewhere,
you threw your fear in the Sea of No Cares
Hey somewhere,
you threw your fear in the Sea of No Cares
Hey somewhere,
you threw your fear in the Sea of No Cares
OOC- The song Sea of No Cares is to my knowledge, writen by Great Big Sea. So don't think I wrote that please.
