Title: Prayer
Description: Angels Or Gods Welcome
Rayn - January 10, 2007 10:13 PM (GMT)
Rayn al Boha slammed the golden doors of the Cathedral open. The wind swept in behind him making a low moaning sound. Rayn took a step into the Cathedral, tears glistened his cheeks. He closed the door behind him cutting off the low moaning of the wind. Rayn stood nearly six feet tall. He had a Holy Sword at waist and wore black leather studded armour. Rayn dripped water on the floor. His hair was so wet that his black curly locks stuck to his head. The storm out side had been extreamly bad and he had been on a hard journey to get here. He looked up at the golden dome roof.
The priest's in the Cathedral all stopped to look at him. Rayn stared up above. He took no notice of anything around him. He didn't notice the alter or the pillars or anything. He just looked up. "I am here!" He roared.
The priests knew something was happening which was private between Rayn and the gods. In a moment of seconds they were gone through loads of different doors.
Rayn heard them leave and laughed tears coming down his face.
"I am Rayn al Boha! I need help! I have been traveling for two years! The pain in my soul is never ending!" Rayn shouted. He dropped to his knees. "I am on my knees before any who would hear my call. Nobody has ever helped me! I am but a street thief rat! But they killed him!" Rayn sobbed. "They killed my friend! Chaos! Vampires!" Rayn shouted. He covered his face in his hands. "I am on a search for holyness! I want to become a Knight and help the helpless! But I can't! All i can think about is revenge! Do you gods hate me so much not to help!" Rayn screamed upwards.
He looked down. No one will help... I am but a man... a nineteen year old man who has seen enough suffering for three men. I want evil distroyed and peace to rule over this land! Jimmy... Poor Jimmy... His head rolled across the floor before my very eyes! Rayn mourned for the death of his old friend.

(((I hope its alright if I join your thread.)))
Soft footsteps were heard as Siyana examined an old statue. She turned, her long golden blonde hair swept her back as she heard a booming voice unfamilar to her. "I am here!" the voice shouted. She moved softly her yellow dress swept the floor as she walked behind a young human, no older then twenty by her estimation. He seemed distressed and her feelings were confirmed by his crying to the Gods. "I am Rayn al Boha! I need help! I have been traveling for two years! The pain in my soul is never ending! I am on my knees before any who would hear my call. Nobody has ever helped me! I am but a street thief rat! But they killed him! They killed my friend! Chaos! Vampires!" The man covered his face in what appeared to be desperation. "I am on a search for holyness! I want to become a Knight and help the helpless! But I can't! All i can think about is revenge! Do you gods hate me so much not to help!" He finished.
She tilted her head sympatheticly, "Revenge is often seen as a sweet candy to whomever wishes to seek it but soon turns bitter in the mouth once it is eaten. I appologise for my intrusions but I could not help overhearing, I am Siyana, Angel of Light." she said giving a low bow.
Rayn - January 30, 2007 06:31 PM (GMT)
Rayn looked up as he heard footsteps walking towards him. He saw a female angel with golden hair and a golden dress. Rayn looked at her for a moment. She then tilted her head to the side and sympatheticly, "Revenge is often seen as a sweet candy to whomever wishes to seek it but soon turns bitter in the mouth once it is eaten. I appologise for my intrusions but I could not help overhearing, I am Siyana, Angel of Light." giving a low bow.
Rayn stayed on his knees. This was the first angel he had ever seen. He smiled up at her, but his eyes were still watery. "You were not there... I want to rid the world of these creatures... How can I help the worlds... Praying to the gods does nothing for me... I have never seen one... I need to take action..." Rayn said looking away. He thought she would disagree with him. But he didn't know any other way...
Siyana - January 31, 2007 03:07 AM (GMT)
Siyana blinked when she saw his face and she could not understand, Strange. Why does someone with so bright of a light wish to do something as dark as revenge? she wondered as he looked up at her but remained on his knees. A loose tear fell from his eye as she listened. "You were not there... I want to rid the world of these creatures... How can I help the worlds... Praying to the gods does nothing for me... I have never seen one... I need to take action..." he said looking away from her. She felt pained, almost as if someone struck a knife in her heart and twisted it. She knelt in front of him, her pale wings moved slightly as she braced herself with a hand on the cold marble of the floor. She looked at him sadly. "I may have not been there, but I have felt the pain of loss. I too lost someone dear to me...a love no one will be able to give me again. I lost him...To a being who felt no sympathy for a life so young. He killed Adien with no mercy, only a longing to kill every being who bore the mark of an angel." she said a small tear trailing down her cheek as she remembered losing Adien.
She smiled at him and wiped the tear from his cheek, "But your light...I can see it easily. Its strong, a very bright one. One that can illuminate even the darkest areas of a life. Why stoop so low into darkness to gain revenge? In killing all vampires you would kill innocent lives, vampires who protect humanity would die because in your eyes those the give birth to could become evil. Those that would give their life to save yours you would dash into the wall with as much mercy as Adien's killer did." she said. She did not expect him to fully understand but she hoped to at least stop him from thinking about revenge. "If you want to be able to follow the path of good you must learn to resist the call of darkness. The path of darkness always seems easier but in the end you must pay the higher price." she said smiling.
Rayn - January 31, 2007 05:52 PM (GMT)
Rayn stood up to his full height. He looked at the angel and smiled back. "You are right..." Rayn said finally. "But I don't want to sit inside a temple and watch what is happening outside. I need to be outside. I need to be in the middle of the battle between good and evil. I would die for the light. That much I know for sure." Rayn said.
He paused and looked at te angel. "What is your name Angel?" Rayn asked. He then drew his great Holy Broadsword and put it point down. Rayn bent on one knee with both of his hands resting on the hilt of his sword. "I Rayn al Boha, give to you my sword. If ever you are in danger, just say my name and I will come." Rayn said this an oath. For some reason the angel's words had cleared his mind of all the anger and rage that he felt. Rayn found that this being was so pure and good that he would give his life for her any moment she needed it. To be honest... There was nothing in Rayn's life apart from the goal to good in the world.
Siyana - February 1, 2007 04:40 AM (GMT)
Siyana stood as the man did, he seemed changed. She sensed the darkness of revenge was no longer plaguing his mind. She smiled as he finally stood at his full height. "You are right...But I don't want to sit inside a temple and watch what is happening outside. I need to be outside. I need to be in the middle of the battle between good and evil. I would die for the light. That much I know for sure." he said drawing his sword. She nodded in agreement. "Yes. I have always believed that one person could change the world but they had to have the courage to first walk outside. The darkness is powerful, but the Light is even greater." she said. "What is your name Angel?" he asked her. She gave a slightly embarresed smile at the fact she never gave him her name. "I am Siyana, Protector of Light" she said bowing. The man kneeled before her and she stiffened in surprise, no one had done that before, at least not to her. "I, Rayn al Boha, give to you my sword. If ever you are in danger, just say my name and I will come." She smiled at the gesture. "And I, Siyana the Protector of Light, will be there if you ever need me. To help defend the light or to talk, I am always there for my friends. As will I be for you." she said the pain returning. There was once a time when those words were spoken out of love, not friendship. She truely missed Adien, she knew that from the start.
She flexed her wings again as the man stood kneeling before her, she felt a tear fall down her cheek as she remembered Adien taking the same position, one that his race considered important before taking a spouse, one was supposed to give an oath to lay their life down for the one they loved and now he was doing the same. She held back the sadness for she knew that Adiens sacrifice allowed her to be at that temple to steer Rayn in the direction of holyness or light, whichever path he chose as his own. 'The shadows of hatred have truely left him, even if just for a moment he will be able to help those around him. I know it. I thank you Kieraline for allowing me to help him.' she prayed.
Rayn - February 1, 2007 10:08 AM (GMT)
Siyanna smiled at the gesture. "And I, Siyana the Protector of Light, will be there if you ever need me. To help defend the light or to talk, I am always there for my friends. As will I be for you." Rayn smiled back at her. "It is good to have friends in this world Rayn said as he stood up. He strapped his Holy Broadsword back on his belt. Rayn laughed "One day you will see me leading the armys of the light against the evil of this world." Rayn said with a boyish grin. Although at the age of nineteen he was considered a man. He would always keep his boyish dreams.
Rayn smiled for the first time in his life, he had met an angel and they were the most amazing people in the world. How a few words can change a mans future... Rayn shrugged his shoulders. "Is there anywhere we could get a drink?" Rayn asked looking away a little nervous, in case asking for a drink was rude. After all he didn't know anything about this place. Gone was the Rayn full of rage and hate for the vampire race. And here was Rayn the world could use for the light.
Siyana - February 5, 2007 02:30 PM (GMT)
Siyana watched as Rayn sheithed his sword. "It is good to have friends in this world. One day you will see me leading the armys of the light against the evil of this world." he said with a boyish grin. Siyana nodded, "I await that day with great hope. The strength of light will always be at the back of the ones who want it." she said. Rayn looked away for a moment, "Is there anywhere we could get a drink?" he asked. She nodded, "The Cathedral is not only for worship, there is a small area for travelers to stay at, everyone is welcome there." she said pointing to a door on the east wing.
Rayn - February 5, 2007 06:24 PM (GMT)
Rayn smiled "Thank you again..." He said and walked towards the travelers area. He needed a rest and a nice cold drink. This really was quite a wonderful place. He had traveled hard to get here and Rayn found that it was worth the trip. He found himself imagining battles between good and evil. Boyish fantasys... Rayn thought shaking his head as he walked through the door into the area where he could get a drink. Rayn noticed the small tavernish room was empty. A small man saw Rayn walk in and grinned. The man walked behind the bar and pulled a glass off of a shelf. "What would you like sir?" He asked. Rayn smiled "Just a glass of water please."
